Man...this is one amazing formula that really delivers results!
I am a 42yo skincare junkie with combo, sensitive skin that I am obsessed with keeping as youthful and healthy looking as possible. I love everything about skincare and have really taken a lot of time to research different ingredients and product formulations. I pay attention to the ingredients in products and while I have no issues using chemicals, I make sure that they serve a specific purpose and deliver on the claims made. You name it, I have tried it and I'm always on the lookout for the next best thing. When I saw this cream/moisturizer, I knew I had to give it a try. Not only am I obsessed with K-Beauty skincare, but I am also getting into the season where my skin is as dry as the desert and needs a little extra TLC. The product arrived very quick, packed in a box that was sealed with a tamper proof, QR code sticker. A sticker indicates an expiration date of 3/27/2027 and the open jar symbol tells me that the contents will be good to use for 12 months after opening. While the ingredients and brief instructions are printed on the box in English, more information is printed in Korean including the claims that this will moisturize for 48 hours, quickly smooths and softens, improves wrinkles on the skin, is good for whitening the skin (really?) and that this has passed/completed a German 'derma test' and a skin sensitivity test. I always deep dive into the formula as I want to know exactly what I am putting on/in my body. Plus, I enjoy looking at different formulations for ideas when I make my own skincare and wellness products. There is A LOT of really impressive ingredients in this cream, including a ton of skincare powerhouse ingredients (like niacinamide, ceramide NP at 10,000ppm, and a variety of oils and extracts). There isn't a single ingredient that is even slightly harmful or questionable in my opinion either (and I can be pretty judgmental). Overall, I was delighted with the actual formulation and couldn't wait to use this product. The cream itself comes in a generously sized squeeze tube with a twist on cap. There was a safety/protective seal over the tubes opening, protecting the contents on arrival. The formula is squeezed through a thin hole in the top of the tube, which I appreciate, as it makes it easy to get just the amount needed and reduces the possibility of waste. The formula is almost completely opaque and white in color. There is no scent/fragrance/parfume added, however this does have a very fresh, almost herbal like scent to it (most likely derived from the extracts) and I am absolutely obsessed with how this smells. It isn't strong at all, but it really is so clean and fresh. On my thickness scale (1 being water and 10 being a rich body butter), I would give this a 6.5-7. It actually feels quite light on the skin and glides across easily, without the slightest bit of pulling or tugging. It starts absorbing immediately, but does take a good 60 seconds to really absorb completely. Before it fully absorbs, it can feel a bit tacky, so give it the right amount of time to do its thing because it is totally worth it! It is pretty incredible because while his does go on feeling very light, there is no lack at all of moisture and hydration imparted on the skin. This behaves like a very rich, creamy and dense moisturizer without the weight and greasy feeling. My mind was blown because I tested this on my hand first, which was in ROUGH shape and dry as an old piece of hay. My skin sucked this right up and within minutes, you could not see any dryness or damage at all (and I really want to stress that my hand was almost to the point it was bleeding- it was that dry, rough and chapped). I don't think I have ever used a product that has delivered results or a transformation that quick, so I was beyond excited to get this on my face and neck. My skin is used to acids, rerinoids/retinoid alternatives and just about anything else I put on it. While it is sensitive, I mostly experience reactions to certain ingredients and formulations. I haven't experienced a single reaction with this product at all (thankfully), but I do want to mention that the first several times I have used it, I did feel a very slight (quite pleasant) tingling sensation on my skin. This wasn't uncomfortable at all, and just made me even more impressed at the strength of the ingredients. This feeling did go away within a few uses, and I actually miss it a bit if I'm being honest. There is absolutely NO doubting or denying that this is like a hydra bomb of moisture to the skin. I am blown away at how this immediately plumps, smooths and softens the skin up. It also delivers on the claims that it will keep the skin hydrated for 48 hours too. With the arrival of he cold weather/fall and the fact that the heat is now on in my house, my face was rough, dry and getting to that point where it was uncomfortable. Just a single application of this formula totally remedied that and left my skin looking and feeling so soft and healthy. This also left me with a nice healthy glow, one that was noticed my others too. We all know that hydration/moisture is like kryptonite to wrinkles, so I can totally see why this would claim that it reduces the appearance of wrinkles. Truthfully, this plumps up the skin so much that it does choke out most of the fine lines on my face, making them impossible to notice. I've only been using this now for about 3 weeks and I haven't had any new lines develop and I don't think they will either. One thing I can't really speak on are the claims about this whitening the skin. I do have some older sun spots that I have been working on now, religiously, for a while. I don't see too much of a difference in them since I started on this formula, but it is still early and I still have TONS of product left. I will come back and update if/when I do notice any difference. So my brutally honest opinion- This is one amazing formula and it didn't take long for me to become totally obsessed with it! I do feel like everything happens for a reason, and that this came to me at the perfect time of the year when my skin needs love and TLC- badly. This provides me with SO MUCH hydration and moisture, but doesn't add any weight or greasiness to my skin at all. It is very easy and pleasurable to use and it doesn't have any adverse effects on my sensitive skin. This is a HOLY GRAIL moisture product for sure and I am blown away that you get SO MUCH (2.7oz is a lot for a quality moisturizer like this) for less than $25. This is a MUST TRY/BUY for sure and a major win all around! I will 100% be buying this again and have already recommended it to almost everyone I know.

I have nothing bad to say about the HAMEL Cera Soothing Cream. There was no fragrance (which I need), it was creamy, it was easy to apply, it wasn't oily, and it made my skin feel hydrated. I'm sure it won't turn my 60 yr old skin into a 20 yr olds, but my skin did feel softer and looked smoother. I tested it out on my arm for a week and saw positive results. The price point is acceptable ($22 at time of review) and I would purchase this again.

It has one job, hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!
In a skincare world of every product trying to address every skin issue known to mankind, it's refreshing to see a product with focus. And that is why I ordered this Ceramide Cera Soothing Cream from Hamel. I was drawn to this cream because it used one of my keywords, which is soothing. As a long time rosacea sufferer, I am always interested in skin care products that promise to calm and soothe the skin. This one promises and it delivers. The main ingredients in it that are going to provide deep hydration while also repairing and strengthening the moisture barrier are ceramide NP, hyaluronic acid and panthenol. Most will have heard of these ingredients and there's a good reason for that - they work. I have been using this cream for only a week and I am liking it very much. It is on the thicker side, very creamy and glides across the skin beautifully, making even distribution simple. It will take a few minutes to fully absorb, but once it does my skin is left feeling super soft and looking dewy and healthy. There is no added fragrance but it does have a very faint scent of something like aloe (although it does not contain aloe). In addition to the super hydrating ingredients this cream also contains jojoba oil, niacinamide and betaglucan, all wonderful ingredients for improving the look of skin and helping to seal in the moisture. This is a high-performing moisturizer but there is one small annoyance. For the most part this formulation is wonderful, very green and clean except for one ingredient. In the listing it is stressed that the cream is chemical - free, but it contains dimethicone. Dimethicone is definitely considered a chemical, it is a silicone that is not environmentally friendly and sometimes not human friendly either. If there is a high concentration of dimethicone it will cause my skin to break out but in this formulation there is less of it, so I've not had a problem. Putting that issue aside, when I ran this formulation through an ingredient decoder it came up with 16 "goodies" that are in this cream. It is very gentle and great for all skin types, especially for those of us with dry, sensitive skin. It is currently selling for $21.20, which I consider a very fair price for the great ingredients it contains. I am deducting one star for the silicone, but even with that I would still recommend this cream.

This Cera Soothing cream is by far, the best gentle moisturizer I have found in a very long time! Running the furnace constantly can be so irritating for my skin and this moisturizer makes a big difference. There is zero fragrance, it's vegan, and it's rich and creamy, but doesn't make my face feel coated or greasy. I love the smooth feeling left behind and my skin looks soothed and less ruddy. I have the kind of sensitive skin that clogs if I even look at certain skin products, but my skin barrier is basically ecstatic using this. Highly recommended! Since the lotion is light and a bit watery, so to speak, it's best to shake it before each use, or at least that's what I do, to ensure everything is properly mixed and solids haven't sank to the bottom, etc. But yes, a light , rather watery lotion, that goes on smooth and rubs in nicely, leaving no residue or stickiness... and the ingredients are very impressive. My skin is fragile, it takes little to irritate or strip it. I ordered this because the description aligns with what I want in a facial cream - something that will hydrate and improve the health/look of my skin without drying or irritating. Super hydrating!
I absolutely love this facial lotion, it does a great job at hydrating. Although it's recommended as a facial moisturizer, I honestly love using this more as a hand cream. During the winter my hands are super dry and are prone to being cracked and chipping, which is what this cream absolutely excels at! Although it's honestly extremely expensive to use this as a hand cream it absolutely cures all my problems during the harsh dry winter time. It's quite thick, but I found that great for slightly thicker skin such as hands, and it spreads relatively easy and absorbs well without a large mess which is great.

Moisture without grease
I have been using this cream on my hands, which are showing much more signs of aging than my face. Most notably, they are dry and beginning to crack since the seasons and weather are currently changing. I also work in a hospital and wash and sanitize my hands what feels like a million times a day. I've been using this cream on my hands at night for less than a week and I already notice a difference. The skin still dries out during the day with all the washing and sanitizing, but it's plumper and definitely less wrinkled. I wish I had taken a "before" picture. The cream itself is white and not very thick. It absorbs quickly and is not greasy at all. Best of all, it has NO smell, which I really appreciate.

This ceramide face cream is very gentle. It makes my skin feel hydrated and soft, but not too greasy. I'd say it's about medium weight, when it comes to how it feels on my skin.
