This hairspray has a very strong hold and keeps my hair in place all day. It dries quickly and doesn’t feel sticky or heavy when applied. Once my hair is set, it doesn’t move. It does leave the slightest bit of a hard cast, which is expected with a strong hold spray, but it truly keeps hair firmly in place. My style holds from the start of the day to the finish without needing touch ups. The scent is light and not overpowering. It smells like a typical hairspray. The bottle is large and the button is easy to push. It sprays in a wider mist rather than a harsh stream, so it covers a good amount of hair evenly without saturating one area more than another.

Holds really well

This hairspray is out of sight! It holds so well! My wife curled and sprayed her hair in the morning with two quick sprays. It really had a firm hold all day. It kept the curled areas looking the same but it also kept the volume up and the hair puffy. Even at the end of the day the hair still looked fine, like she was ready to go out without brushing and curling it all over. The hairspray has a sort of strong smell, a little bit like aqua net. It is also an aerosol, which everyone might not be looking for but being an aerosol the spray particles are much smaller and it goes on evenly without looking wet. It doesn't feel sticky or greasy. It certainly washes out at the end of the day without any issues. The only downside to this hairspray is that the can was dented twice. It didn't affect the hairspray at all but it certainly takes away from the pleasant look of the hairspray can.

Definitely a stronghold

Okay so even when I get my hair done and styled with curls I got the bridesmaid for example when you're waiting around for other people I've had to have my hair recurled three times before because even these professionals using hairspray see that my curls fall. Usually I don't mind my curls falling a little bit in creating more of a natural look but sometimes you need the hold. This hairspray is for when you need the hold because it is a very strong hairspray. It's a little crunchier than I'm used to like this is not the hairspray to use if you want more of a natural look and you want your curls to fall a little bit and you're just curling it for body. But if you're curling it for curly hair this is a great hairspray. And I did mention crunch it's not back crunchy it's just a stronghold and if you have fine hair like me I have baby fine hair this hairspray does create a bit of a crunch if you're not careful with it. But overall I really like it and it really is effective I only have to curl my hair once and use this hairspray and it holds the girls. You also get a lot like it is a big bottle and it is actually full. It comes out really easily and I feel like the way it sprays it's pretty accurate and I don't have to worry about overspraying by accident it dispense as well. I like the smell. It washes out easily. But again if you use too much on thin hair you just have to be careful so you don't get a greasy look I think what I'm trying to say is a little goes a long way when you have thin hair because this actually does hold your curls it is effective. Overall I'm really happy with this hairspray and I think it's a great value for the money if you're looking for extra hold.

Strong hold without the mess

This Spanish made Lakme’ strong hold hairspray is fantastic. It really held my hair in place without being ridiculously sticky or crunchy. $34.50 is the current price for this bug spray can of hairspray. I feel like it’s kind of pricey compared to other brands. The scent is the usual “hairspray” smell. Nothing fantastic but not bad either. But it does what it’s supposed to do and does it well.

Good hold without any unpleasant scents

I used this on both my straight to wavy hair and my mom borrowed it for her tighter curls, and neither of us had any issues with this staying pretty well in place throughout the day. I didn't notice any increase in greasiness to my hair, and my hair tends to go greasy very easily. It washed out pretty well in the shower rather than in the rain, and it held up pretty well without making my hair too sticky/stringy like some hair-sprays tend to do. There were no inpleasant scents, and overall, we were both pretty happy with how our hair held up with this! At the current price, it feels a little expensive, but for a good, sturdy hairspray, it feels like a pretty good value none the less.

Strong hold

I don't need a super strong hairspray every day but for special occasions or when I really need my hairstyle to stay intact, this is fabulous. It gives really good hold and it definitely keeps my hair firmly in place but without being crunchy. I really appreciate that this doesn't dry my hair out like a lot of other hair sprays do and as a bonus, this is probably the best smelling hairspray I've ever used. It smells like an expensive high-end salon in the best way possible. This is not the product to use if you want touchably soft, easily brushable hair but if you need your style to stay in place all day long, this is the product for you.

I never heard of the brand before. I think This hairspray is an good choice when you truly need a reliable hold for a few hours. I have very fine hair and curls that normally fall quickly and after trials and errors, I’ve learned that not all hairsprays are created equal. This one is specifically for days when you need your style to last, whether it’s curls, updos, braids, or a special occasion look. The hold is definitely strong for a good afternoon or evening. It keeps curls and structured styles in place all day, so I don’t have to re-curl multiple times. Because of the strength, it’s not meant for a soft, natural, touchable finish (this is not a “light body” spray). On fine hair, using too much can create a bit of firmness or crunch, so a light hand is key. A little truly goes a long way, and when used sparingly, it holds beautifully without looking greasy or overdone. The spray itself is very well designed. It's important to note that this hairspray is intended for situations where you want your updo or structured hairstyle to stay up without adjustments. It's not meant for a flexible, natural hold where there is movement in your hair afterwards. It's perfect for special events, weddings or if you have short hair you want to style with structure. It's a strong hold hairspray so expect a little crunch and for your hair not to stay if you break the spray barrier by combing or messing with your hair after it sets. The finish itself isn't unnatural in regards to making your hair look like a helmet or greasy. The scent is strong but not anything different from most higher end salon hair products. It does having hold and stay power which is perfect depending on the style/occasion. I'm not sure it's the best fit for thinner hair in curls as it might make them look too stiff or be heavy and make your curls fall out. I curl my straight hair for texture and hold, style it into the updo, then spray this strong hold hairspray to finish. The mist comes out finely and evenly which is awesome! Smells great and works well as long as you do not touch it or attempt to adjust anything

This is a fairly stong hairspray in an aerosol can. At first, I thought the bottle was broken, but after pressing down very hard on the top I did get the spray started. The product came out in a fine mist, and did not clump or stick to the nozzle. The scent is very nice and does have decent longevity. As is typical for every aerosol hairspray that I have even used, there is a layer of residue left on my hair after spraying. I tested this product on an updo for my shoulder length curly hair. I found that if I didn't touch anything, I had decent hold. However, the second I adjusted my hair and broke the barrier of spray, I was unable to keep things in in place. The curls began to fall and adding another layer of spray just made my hair heavier and made my curls fall flat. For initial styling, this is a nice product. But I did need to deduct a star for not being adjustment friendly, and because I think the product is not a good value when considering the performance in comparison to the cost.

High Quality but Not Worth the Price

I expected this "Hard Strong Hold" hairspray to feel really stiff on the hair after application, but I found it quite flexible. I used a normal amount a few inches away from my long, thick hair and it worked perfectly. I did try a "test spray" and it was a little diificult to depress the button at first, but after a really firm push it finally worked. It dispenses in a large fine mist and covered a pretty wide area. The product washed out easily at the end of the day. I thought the scent was fine, comparable to cheap hairsprays though. While I think this is a high quality product I wouldn't choose to pay nearly $35 for it when lower priced but equally effective options are available.

Very nice

Not my first LAKMÉ product and won't be my last. They're on the pricier side for hair care, but I think the quality is well worth it. This does provide very solid hold so you can make your hair for a lovely evening and have confidence in the hold. It's definitely akin to what I'm used to seeing when my grandma would do her hair, it solidifies your hairdo and keeps your hair in place by stiffening it so this isn't something you massage or spray in and then work around. Rather, you do your hair and then use this to keep it in place. You don't need a terrible lot otherwise it'll start getting whacky real fast. To me it had a bit of a learning curve but works very well ultimately.

Good hold on braids

I don’t use hairspray very often because it usually just means I have to wash my hair much sooner but I did double braids and wanted them to stay intact without my hair floofing out of them, which is usually what happens. I sprayed each braid up and down and was pleasantly surprised they did stay much better than not using hairspray on them, even though they were rubbing against my shoulders and clothes. They stayed looking nice all night. It had a pleasant scent, I can’t remember what it smelled like but it did not bother me like some hairspray scents do. It did make me need to wash my hair sooner but that was to be expected. The dry-down texture was a hard hold and a little bit sticky, mostly at first. My braids didn’t feel sticky once they dried. The quality seemed good for the price and I will keep using this hair when I need a structured style. This would not work well on hair left down that needs movement unless you don’t want it to move. It washed out just fine, I always double wash my hair.

Offer a nice hold

Works well. Great product but hard to spray

Shortly after I received this Lakmé hair spray, I had the chance to put it to an extreme test. I volunteered for a "science in action" day at my kid's school that involved spending five hours in a gym full of elementary school children armed with 16 leaf blowers. I put my hair into a slicked back ponytail and gave it a good spray with the K. Finish hairspray. My hair is wavy and thick and hates to stay neatly pulled back, so I usually have a halo of frizz within an hour. But the Lakmé hairspray did the job and my hair stayed in place all day! I have no complaints about the product itself. It smells great, like the salon product it is, and it truly provides the hard hold it advertises. It washed out easily even though I'd used a lot. The only reason I am rating this 4 stars and not 5 is that it is difficult to spray. I don't know if I just got a bad bottle, but the spray nozzle is very hard to hold down. It was one of the most challenging and uncomfortable aerosol bottles I've ever used. It would be impossible for anyone with limited hand strength to use.

Not as expected

This hairspray provides a strong hold, but it did not work as well as I hoped. While it claims extreme hold, my hairstyle still lost shape after a few hours, especially in humid conditions. The spray feels very sticky once applied, which made my hair stiff and uncomfortable to touch. I also was not a fan of the scent. It is quite strong and lingers longer than I would like, which became distracting throughout the day. On the positive side, the nozzle sprays evenly and the bottle size is decent for regular use. Still, the texture and smell took away from the experience, and I found myself wanting to wash it out sooner than expected.

Nozzle Didn't Work

I was really looking forward to using this hairspray, but unfortunately, I can't tell you about the hairspray itself. That's because the nozzle on my can does not work. No matter what I did, I could not get even one drop to mist out of the can. The top has a nice press from side to side, but still nothing comes out. Thinking that the hairspray might have clogged up the pump, I ran it for a while under hot water, to no avail. Trying to twist the top around didn't work either. There was definitely plenty of hairspray inside of the can because the weight was right and I could shake it up, but nothing would come out. Even though I could hold the can and press the top from side to side, nothing came out. It does seem like a halfway decent sized can for a maximum hold spray, but I just can't tell you about the hold, the shine, how it works for styling my hair, the scent, nor anything else about this hairspray. Fortunately, for you, it looks like I received a fluke. The odd man out can. The anomaly because I see lots of good reviews without people complaining about the can. But, alas, I got the dud.
