Smells great, good for maintenance and build-up control every so often
My scalp can get a little oily at times, and my hair tends to hold on to products which cause build up. This shampoo seems to help clean all the yuck off my hair. In the shower after rinsing while my hair is still wet, I notice how much smoother my hair feels. After drying my hair, it feels really clean, and my scalp does too. This shampoo smells really good. It has a light citrus scent. It smells fresh and clean. I can really detect the grapefruit, tangerine and lemon, but not so much the mint (which they describe as part of the fragrance profile). The scent doesn’t stick around too long after rinsing. The consistency of the shampoo reminds me of a thick syrup. It’s apparent that there is glycerin in the shampoo. It has a slickness to it. It really lathers up well, creating many white, foamy bubbles. On my first use, I used about a quarter sized amount on my longer length hair and it was a bit too much. The shampoo comes in a bottle with a flip top cap, which I prefer more than a pump, at least in this circumstance. I can control the exact amount of the shampoo that comes out of the bottle. There was a slight bit of shampoo that had leaked out into the top of the cap when I received it. The bottle didn’t come sealed. There is an expiration date on my bottle of “0529” (it’s currently June of 2026), giving it about a 3 year shelf life. The ingredients contain sulfates and some really long names of things I’ve never heard of, which makes me wary, but I had no adverse reactions. I think it’s best for me to use a good conditioner or some kind of moisturizing hair serum after using this because it seems to remove a lot of my hair’s natural healthy oils. I’m not sure if it’s something I’ll be using every time I shampoo. It may be more of a maintenance and oil/build-up control type of thing that I use when I need to. Doesn't Strip Hair ~ Feels Great
I am really liking this Pure line! I use this shampoo in conjunction with the Pure clay mask & I have been really happy! The shampoo lathers well & it's easy to glide around on your scalp, it feels great. It has a light almost citrus scent, not overpowering at all, it is just a nice light fragrance. My hair feels clean, without feeling stripped, I was worried about that. Overall, I couldn't be happier with this one, worth every penny!

91% derived natural ingredients purifying shampoo!
this scalp care purifying shampoo is amazing! it lathered well but didn’t feel overly stripping when i washed it out. my hair has been feeling softer than when i use my traditional shampoo so i would say it definitely has some solid ingredients that help to moisturize and keep hair softer rather than clean it and leave it fully stripped or dry. the scent is very nice, not something overpowering but clean, slightly salon reminiscent and even though i’m usually sensitive to fragrance i enjoy this. as for the cost i think it may be worth it as this shampoo has honestly been a solid improvement to what i was using before and i would recommend trying it out. it helped to clean my hair and scalp while making it easier to comb and have less tangles as well as having a nice scent and being an overall decent purifying scalp care shampoo. 5/5.

Nice lather
This Lakmé teknia scalp care shampoo works great. I wash my long hair about every 3 days and this shampoo helps get rid of my oily roots and scalp without drying it out. It has a medium/thin consistency and a strong lather. It has a lemongrass scent and the scent is light so it doesn't last after the shower. This shampoo leaves my hair slightly softer before conditioning and it has quality ingredients.

Works well for my oily scalp

Gentle clarifying shampoo
I've been using a lot of hair products recently - heat protectants, leave in conditioners, scalp serums, styling products, oils, everything! I normally use a clarifying shampoo every 2-3 washes to remove any buildup, but I've been out of it for a while. This is all to say that the Lakmé Pure shampoo had a real job to do on my last hair wash. It felt a lot more gentle than the clarifying shampoos that I've used before, but it did a great job of deep cleaning my hair. After washing and drying, my hair was soft and had tons of volume. My scalp feels good, too. The shampoo has a fresh citrus fragrance and it lathers well. I don't have oily hair but I do need to keep my scalp very clean to prevent dandruff and itchiness, but I also have bleached and colored ends that need gentle care. This shampoo seems to work well to clean my hair and scalp effectively without drying out the delicate colored parts of my hair.

Wonderful shampoo, has worked miracles with my hair!
This stuff has been absolutely amazing!! I normally have a very oily scalp so this has been great about taming the grease and making my hair look much more manageable without making it feel heavy with product. It also leaves my hair super soft and clean feeling, and I haven't noticed any discomfort in my scalp after use either. It's not very moisturizing because it IS meant to draw oil off, so it can be a little drying. I absolutely LOVE the scent. It's a very faint, very sweet orange peel scent to me and I absolutely love it.

Great shampoo!!
This is great shampoo but f you struggle with an oily scalp. I have been having this problem for awhile, I think that it might be hormonal. I was looking for a shampoo that targeted this directly and gave me some relief. I’ve been using this for a few days now and I have noticed a difference. It has been very effective and makes my hair feel clean and soft. It has a citrus smell, it’s nice but not overwhelming. It is a little pricier than shampoo I normally buy, but definitely worth it. I would rate it five stars.

This Lakmé Teknia Scalp Care Pure Purifying Shampoo, Shampoo for Oily Scalp, 10.2 Fl Oz come in a flip top style bottle that dispenses this shampoo which is clear. This shampoo is medium thick gel like with a citrus orange fragrance that generates a moderate-large amount of lather. It does a great job with cleaning hair while leaving it soft and moisturized which keeps hair being tangle-free. It is also noted to do a good job with being sensitive to skin without causing any irritation and leaving the scalp feeling smooth. This is an effective shampoo for improving hair scalp. Overall, this is a very nice smelling shampoo that also provides good scalp care but in priced very moderately which makes this only an okay value.
