I began using retinol in my skincare routine about 8 months ago and made the mistake of starting with a product that had a strong concentration that inflamed my face, so I stopped using it. This 0.1% retinol youth serum is a much smarter way to ease into retinol more gently until my skin is more capable of handling stronger products. This is a relatively thin, milky colored serum with a mucus like consistency. It doesn't take much to get full coverage, but it does take a little while to fully absorb well enough to be non-tacky, so I prefer using it at night because I'm always in a hurry in the mornings. This serum is gentle on my sensitive skin and hasn't caused any irritation or redness. Once it absorbs, my skin feels soft and well hydrated rather than dried out like the stronger serum I previously tried did. This serum contains niacinamide along with shea and aloe, plus bakuchiol and peptides, so that's probably why it leaves my skin more moisturized than my previous serum did. I've been using it twice a week but will be able to move up to using it three times a week soon and will update my review if I notice any irritation develop after that. I am very pleased with it so far, and the ingredients in the product are outstanding, so I do recommend it for anyone just starting to use retinol in their skincare routine.

Smells great
This retinol is great. I never get dry or irritated from it. I use it every other night with Some by Mi retinol serum. Leaves my face nourished. The retinol has an earthy smell which I love. Reminds me of a spa every time I use it. The only bad thing is the bottle seems kinda small. But it seems to be lasting a long time. You only need a small pump. I will be repurchasing.

Fantastic!
This is my first go round with retinol and so far so good! I followed the recommendation to apply twice a week for the first two weeks and now I am up to every other day. I have rosacea and very sensitive skin so I was nervous about exacerbating my redness and drying out my skin. This product has been great! It’s got a thin enough consistency that 1.5 pumps is just enough to evenly cover my face and neck. There is a slight scent that is not unpleasant and goes away within seconds. I like to let it sit on my skin for at least 10 minutes before I apply my moisturizer, but it absorbs very quickly with no sticky or greasy feeling. I have been vigilant about applying sunscreen and moisturizer multiple times daily since I started using this and have had no problems with dryness. I can definitely see a change for the better in my skin. Fine lines are less noticeable and my skin is softer, smoother and more evenly toned.

Very Gentle and Hydrating, Doesn't Strip or Sting
The packaging on this is great. For me, application is a part of my skin care ritual, and I love a pretty bottle. The viscosity is nice, it definitely has a true serum feel, absorbing quickly and immediately giving a hydrated and plumped look to the skin. It has a lovely fresh scent. I keep thinking that it is something in the mint family, but I can't find anything in the ingredients list to confirm that. It contains extracts from multiple citrus fruits, barks, nuts and herbs, so my educated (slightly) guess is that the aroma is an herbaceous combination of those. It is not at all perfumy and does not smell artificial. I appreciate the gentleness of this. I do a lot of product layering and sometimes worry about overwhelming or stripping my skin. (Note- I do not have sensitive skin.) This is going to be a great tool in my skin care kit.

Just Right for Sensitive Skin
This MIZON Retinol Serum is just right for people with sensitive skin because the amount of retinol in this product is low - just .1%. At this lower concentration, it is less likely to irritate skin, while still providing retinol benefits. Studies have shown even small amounts (as low as 0.01%) of retinol can make an impact in the appearance of visible signs of aging. This is a nice serum that absorbs well and moisturizes while also providing anti-aging benefits. Safe for sensitive skin
I have combination/sensitive skin and this serum worked well without causing any skin troubles. It's not for everyday use and the instruction says twice a week for the first 2 weeks and 3 times a week afterward. As it contains retinol, I use it only during the night regime. Compared to my bakuchiol serum that's half-priced, I did not feel much difference. Also, the product description does not say cruelty-free. It's a good item but I will not become their return customer.

Nice retinol serum
This is a very nice, mild retinol serum. It helped my skin adjust to using retinol. It goes on very smoothly and a little drop covers my whole face. It has a mild scent and pretty much everything else about this is mild as well. I think this is good because my skin irritates easily. I also struggle with acne and this had helped with that. Overall, great starter serum for retinol!

Nice formula that is gentle on my skin
This is a milky serum that absorbs quickly into the skin. As per the instructions, I’ve been using it only every few days (and at night) and I’ve had no adverse reactions. Take care if you use it in the morning that you apply sunscreen! And watch that other products you’re using on your face don’t contain retinol - you want to avoid doubling up. Easy to use and lightly scented, quite gentle on the skin. I’m pleased with it.
