Works for my thick and oily hair! Method of application is important (read on).
I was concerned about other reviews stating that this dry shampoo made hair more oily. I have thick and VERY oily hair and when this product is applied at the roots and worked in to the hair, I found that it was volumizing and worked very well to sop up oils. I typically gather my hair in fist fulls at the top of my head one layer at a time (gathering more hair after each application to the root) and then spray the product directly on to the roots. I then work the product in thoroughly. I found it made my hair more manageable and cleaner looking. I also ran a broad toothed comb through my hair to work the product through. Not bad! 4 stars because the smell is strong at first and then fades quickly.

Favorite dry shampoo
I love this dry shampoo! Not sure if others have this problem, but my boyfriend HATES dry shampoo. He hates the smell and gives me so much grief about using dry shampoo all the time. I should mention I use dry shampoo primarily at night before bed (has worked even better for me) vs the morning which is mostly why he has such an opinion. This was an ongoing battle until a couple months ago, a friend suggested I try R+CO. I have tried so many brands and the only one he kind of didn't mind was DryBar. With R+CO he barely realizes I have put in and actually likes the smell. As far as the product itself--amazing, don't have to use as much as other brands and even though it's expensive it's worth it for me. I tend to curl my hair most days and so dry shampoo is a fixture in that process. I don't have much experience with this brand but am looking forward to trying more products.

Objective: Timothee Chalamet / Results: Napolean Dynamite - Not for Amateurs
I read a story in GQ about how Thom Priano, one of the founders of R+Co and one of the top men's groomers in the world, styled Timothee Chalamet's hair and the products he used, I have just grown my hair out to Chalamet length and purchased them, one of them was the Jackpot Styling Crème. First off the directions are not very clear, I had never used a styling creme before, how much do I put on?, do I use it on wet hair? On dry hair? Nothing worked, my hair just wound up sticky and matted. My hair was more Napolean Dynamite than Timothee Chalamet. Now I have another $27 hair product that I don't use gathering dust in my medicine cabinet. I wish companies would follow the lead of brands like Kiehl's and Bumble and Bumble and make small travel sizes of their products that you can try out for $5 before committing too and then if you do like it you can travel with it, or offer samples for people to try. I want to like this brand so much, but it's such a waste of money.

My favorite dry shampoo spray
My favorite dry shampoo spray! This stuff is perfect for when you initially blow dry your hair- I spray this through at the base of the hair first, and then lightly, letting my hair fall through the spray for body. I have thin, fine, hair and often these sprays weigh it down or make it kind of sticky. Not this stuff! It extends my wash about 2 days- If I use this, I can go 2 days before needing to use a different powder product that's not a spray (or I need to wash and blow dry my hair again). I don't recommend this to use on day 3 or 4 though, it's got too much stuff in the spray to effectively de-oil your hair.

The BEST for fine hair
I have super fine hair that I wash every other day, and this is the only dry shampoo that works for my hair and doesn't weigh it down. It actually absorbs the oil and gives me the same look as wash days. Just a few sprays and I'm good all day. I can't feel it weighing on my hair at all and the oily feeling non existent. Also as a bonus, it smells nice!

Not enough bang for the buck
So to start with this is the most expensive dry shampoo I've purchased, and while this works okay, the quality is definitely not proportionate to the price. I've used cheap stuff that worked decently enough and I've paid a bit more for stuff that works really well. I figured you get what you pay for so I thought I'd buy this stuff. And let me tell ya, that is only the case when you get cheap stuff. It worked, don't get me wrong. And it worked better than the <$10 stuff I've used. But honestly this is not any better than the Not Your Mother's brand and is not as good as the Kristen Ess dry shampoo. It does come in a huge bottle, but the same amount came in the not your mother's stuff and that was waaaay cheaper.

After reading other reviews suggesting this product was not the real deal I was leery of purchasing but after using it several times (for about a month) I’m satisfied I that I did not receive a counterfeit product and would definitely buy again. Great Smell, Gross Texture, Not worth the $$$
I have fine, straight, blonde hair & quite a lot of it. I had high hopes for this as it's quite $$$ and I'd read rave reviews in magazines and on blogs. While the scent is not overpowering (which I prefer) it does offer a nice, earthy smell. I like that. It doesn't smell overdone. The texture however, is another thing and is the main reason that I've knocked the review down from 5 to 3 stars (I wish I could give it 2.5). When sprayed into the roots of my hair on day 3 post-wash, it leaves my hair with this overly bulky feeling and grittiness but without any added volume. It does not leave my scalp feeling clean, but rather more dirty... which kind of defeats the purpose of using it. In terms of texture, yes I think this is a great texturizing spray. But in terms of a dry shampoo, I don't think this is sufficient. Especially not for the price. I will continue to use this as it's quite expensive but I will not repurchase this nor would I recommend it.

Finally A Dry Shampoo That Actually WORKS!
I have been trying to find a dry shampoo that actually works since I was like 12 years old. I cannot stand dirty sweaty/greasy/scalp/hair. Most of the ones I tried either do pretty much nothing or smell so strong they give me a headache. And really do not work. This product is very expensive in my opinion for the tiny amount you get but a little goes a long way, it has a delicate clean tropical coconut smell that does not bother my allergies & gives volume and works beautifully. I really cannot believe it. I am also sensitive to chemicals and have an autoimmune disease and so far-after using a week or so no reactions. My stylist could not believe I had not washed my hair in three days when I went in to have my color done yesterday. It is very hot and sweaty a great time of the year where I live. And my hair tends to get limp and greasy really quick despite using hormone free natural shampoos and all that stuff. The only way I could stand it most of the time was to wash it daily in our warmest weather especially on mornings I walk my dog a few miles giving me no choice. But this has been a game changer. It gave me instant volume, clean fresh but not strong muted scent and my hair was revised and easy to style. By not having to wash it every day my color will also stay preserved and my hair healthier. I will update if anything changes. I highly recommend trying it out HOWEVER keep in mind all hair types are different. Mine is relatively thick, color treated and light brunette if that helps. It may not work the same on all hair types and remember everyone's chemistry and sensitivities vary. My only complaint? I wish it was not called Death Valley lol but perhaps that is because that is a hot, sweaty place and this works on such conditions.

Best dry shampoo ever! I mean ever!
This is the best dry shampoo ever! No powder residue. It’s given my hair life and lift! My hair usually goes about 5-7 days or so in between washing. My hair does not get greasy per say but it loses life. I received a sample of it (from my aunt who is a high end beautician in NY) and was hesitant to use it because I have seen what some hair looks like after people have used dry shampoo and was not a fan because you could always tell they did. This is the perfect dry shampoo
I am a loyalist to this dry shampoo. I have tried many different types of dry shampoos but while others may be cheaper, I keep coming back to this because it is just better. First of all, the sprayer is powerful and sprays directly where you want it to go. I have dark brown hair and always struggle with dry shampoos that leave powder spots. This does not leave residue. I don't even need to shake the can before using. This stuff does not make my hair feel laden down with product or dried out. I also tend to be sensitive to strongly scented hair products and get headaches, but this stuff does not have an overly strong scent and the scent tends to evaporate shortly after use. Not sure its the real thing
I read several reviews that doubted the authenticity of the products. If this smelled as good as the original travel sized sample I had the first time I ever tried this, I'd give it five stars but I've had several of the large canister all smelling the same now, so I can tell there's a definite difference in the large can. I'm not sure if it's intentional or not, but the small travel size smells FAR better... or should I say stronger. My husband uses then, usually when we go out on a day he doesn't want to shower a second time before going out. I really wanted to love this one because it had good reviews and overall I think it’s average. Basically, not worth the price to me. Doesn't work on oily scalp
This dry shampoo doesn't work for my oily scalp. The smell is okay - coconut type of scent that reminds me of tanning oil, I can see some people like it, but it doesn't neutralize the smelly scalp. The scent just coexists with the smell of unwashed scalp, which made me self-conscious all day. It also doesn't add volume. The good thing is that this doesn't leave residue and makes hair manageable.

I think they changed the formula. I have purchased this in the past and liked it, but this is not the same product. It doesn’t absorb at all and is arguably a dry texture spray rather than dry shampoo. The only good thing about this is the scent but for $40 this isn’t worth it at all. Expensive air. Doesn’t work as a dry shampoo
This is essentially an expensive bottle of decently scented air for all the “drying” it does. My hair felt and looked oilier after use, which is incredibly disappointing for how much it costs. I dont know what kind of textured hair all of these 5 star reviews have, but I’ve tried it on my thick hair and my daughter’s fine hair and neither of us got the results we wanted.

However, in preparation for surgery which would make it difficult to was my hair regularly, I decided to try this dry shampoo and I was not disappointed. Great smelling dry shampoo!
This one smells fabulous, when others aren’t so pleasant. It’s also excellent for adding volume to my fine hair, and I appreciate that immensely! As a dry shampoo, I’d say is pretty good but not excellent. It doesn’t leave a white residue, or a sticky texture. Application is important, and I find it works best when I use it before bed when I’ve washed my hair that morning. Then I’ll use a small amount the next day for styling. Spraying the roots but not too close, and working it in, is how I’ve achieved the best results. Overall I’m happy.
