It moisturizes well but can be heavy
The shampoo in this set is hugely drying, so it's no wonder the conditioner is so heavy! It takes some extra time to rinse out, but I do let it sit for quite a few minutes on my head to allow as much of the moisture in as possible. Perhaps I need to rinse it out sooner, as that takes a lot of time to do! It smells like expensive perfume and feels thick and almost a little more waxy than cream; almost like a shea butter body butter! Perhaps that is why it is so moisturizing. I have very dry hair, and it is at my shoulders, so you don't need much or it can weigh down my already thick head of hair! So a little definitely goes a long way!

Very pleasant smell and protects my color

Will strip the color out of your hair
Even though this is marketed for colored hair, I have fashion/vivid red hair and after just one wash it striped the color of my hair leaving it looking faded and dry. Definitely do not recommend this product.

Disappointed
I have a couple other R+Co products that I like, so I was excited to try this on my color treated hair. I was super disappointed after the first use! Not only did it strip out literally all of the color from my hair, it left it very dry and super tangled. Waste of money. Won’t be buying this again.

I purchased this shortly after getting highlights and had high hopes, especially given the price and reputation. color lasts
Had problem with hair color washing out after shampooing and thinning hair. This shampoo not only makes my hair color last longer, it also greatly reduced hair falling out. I like that it is paraben and sulfate free. The fragrance is light, but pleasant. The shampoo is thick and goes a long way. More suds would be nice, but that is the tradeoff for a natural product. It lathers enough to still do the job. I use a small amount of conditioner after shampooing as the shampoo leaves my hair feeling dry and tangled. Am using an organic conditioner I purchased with a different organic type shampoo. It does a good job. Other people have commented on the R+Co conditioner being too thick so plan to stick with the Pura D'or conditioner I am presently using. My hair stylist commented on how healthy my hair is, especially since I have been coloring it for years. I did switch to Madison Reed light ash brown hair color which doesn't turn brassy or yellow after a few shampoos. Also, Madison Reed does not cause itchy bumps on my scalp like I experienced with other color products, even "organic" ones.

This is a real review. I have used the Dallas shampoo and conditioner by R &Co for years. I recently dyed my hair and my hair stylist recommended this product to help shield my color from fading. It smells nice, I think it helped a little bit with fading, but I must say, I prefer the Dallas shampoo and conditioner, that makes you hair feel thick, but it does not protect from sun like this one.
