Nice, but doesn't remove all makeup
I really like that this has rice ingredients. It feels nourishing to use it. This cleanser smells sweet, but also a bit like fresh cut grass. It removes general makeup well, but not mascara and eye makeup. It was very irritating around my eyes when I had to rub a lot to get my makeup off. I'd say it's great for when you're wearing light makeup or get home late and just want to quickly get to bed. I also noticed it leaves a sticky residue behind. The instructions say there's no need to rinse it off with water, but I have been using another face wash after using this.

Makes your skin feel great!
This rice water is wonderful!. It has this great emollient feel to it. It leaves my skin smooth feeling and smooth looking too! I generally use it like micellar water or when feeling lazy, I use this as my first step in a double cleanse, then follow up with warm water via a wash cloth. I'm getting ready to order another bottle!

Gentle and sensitive skin friendly
As a longtime user of Bioderma's micellar water, I wanted to see how K-beauty measures up. This Skin House micellar water uses rice water as a star ingredient, which is a common and traditional skincare ingredient that brightens and tones skin complexion. The texture was pretty watery but it had a slip, unlike Bioderma's version. The cleansing power was fairly good but I would personally recommend going over with a second step cleanser. It is quite gentle and suitable for someone with sensitive skin.

Not the best for heavier makeup
I initially used this to remove makeup, but it isn’t the best for it especially for removing heavier applications. As a water cleanser, the instructions are not to rinse off but to gently wipe your skin with a cotton pad. If following these directions to use as a regular water cleanser, I prefer to only use this once in a while or for a quick cleanse because I feel like I might end up over exfoliating from always using a cotton pad. I’ve had no irritation to the product and experienced no breakouts (my skin type is very dry and not sensitive), but I’d rather rinse the product off afterwards and use a separate moisturizer as opposed to leaving it on. The water cleanser is mild so it might be good for someone if they want to use it for routines that require multi-step cleansing.

Fresh & Clean Feeling
Be sure to shake before use! You can't tell from even looking at it that it's a biphase essence-toner. After a few good shakes, I used this on a cotton round to apply to my skin. It has zero distinguishable scent. It also feels thin like water, no heavy residue left behind on my face! I mostly use this after cleansing with micellar water or for a quick refresh in the middle of the day. It doesn't break my skin out at all. In fact, it almost feels, looks, and smells like water. This would be excellent for people with very sensitive skin. And I love that my face doesn't feel tight and uncomfortable after using.

Lightweight and Hydrating Cleanser

I think this would be great if you do a two step cleaning process, this followed by a typical gentle cleanser. I also think dry skin would benefit from this formula. This review is for "[THE SKIN HOUSE] Rice Active Essence Cleansing Water 150ml (5.07 fl.oz) Cleansing Toner, Micellar Cleansing Water, Gentle makeup Remover Korean Skin Care, Korean Facial Cleanser" I'm a fan of micellar water to remove my makeup before washing my face. I substituted this rice cleansing water for my regular micellar water and it gave me the same results. I don't use a cotton round for either one. I apply it directly to my face and use my hands in a circular motion to melt the makeup then I rinse my face. This washes off cleanly, it doesn't leave any residue on my skin. I use tubing mascara so I can't attest to mascara removal. So far I have experienced any irritations or dried out skin. This seems like a nice first step for my skin before bedtime.

Removes makeup easily!
This product removes makeup, excess oil, and basically cleanses my face and neck easily and effectively. It has a nice gently consistency like other micellar cleansing waters, but I find this product to be more moisturizing. It's great on the undereye area where my skin is thin and dry. It gently removes undereye makeup without pulling or tugging. Because my skin is mature and somewhat dry, I do apply a nighttime moisturizer before I go to bed. It does not remove waterproof mascara very well, but most micellar cleansers I've used, don't. I think this product is great for keeping skin clean and healthy and provides an easy and gentle way to remove daily makeup.

This is an interesting product in that it lists no rinse off needed after cleaning. To a certain degree this is true. It does a good job at cleansing the face, I would say for lighter makeup that works best. No noticeable fragrance which is nice. Could be better for makeup removal
