10/10 - not just for grown-ups who know how to wax.
Normally when I fall for a cult beauty product, I try it and immediately realize that it's for real girls who know how to do beauty stuff. Like every few years, I decide that I resent the price and time spent on professional waxing, and spend a fortune on a waxing kit instead. It's always a messy, ineffective, and stressful mistake - I just don't have the skills and will never develop them. However, this time, Italwax hard wax was the product my eye landed on. Even when I ordered it, I was halfway-conscious that it was likely going to end up in the trash, which is why I didn't even buy any of the accompanying products I was supposed to- low expectations. I mean, I cleaned my bikini area with rubbing alcohol instead of an "alcohol-based lotion" that they recommended. I powdered with baby powder that I already had, and got some wide popsicle sticks instead of a fancy spreader. I heated the wax pellets in a pint deli container in the microwave and used an infrared thermometer to check that the temperature was correct. At least I made sure I was organized and had everything to hand (and protected surfaces from drips or spills.) I cannot believe what a great result I got. Cannot. Believe. No excessive reapplication and giving up. No hair follicles pooling with tiny droplets of blood. For hard-to-reach areas like armpits or big areas like legs, it's still probably easier to have a friend help if you want to do a very thorough job, but I was happy with my armpits and lip-area waxing, too. Epilogue: 1. I will now go ahead and get a wax heater, because I know this system works for me. However, removing excess oil with a bit of rubbing alcohol and dusting with plain talc seems just fine unless you want really want to treat yourself to the whole set of specialty products. 2. I had to do some research to differentiate the different colors of wax and it wasn't 100% clear even on the Italwax. This plum one has titanium dioxide, which apparently makes the wax set slightly softer and more flexible, appropriate for "sensitive" areas.

PERFECT
I am an esthetician and at first I was trying cetapil wax (blue) and I hated that, then I tried Kalua and that one was alright, then Gigi (gold) and it was better than the cetapil, and sometimes on par with the Kalua. This one though, omg, it's creamy, doesn't break in my stips, and looks great too. I recently waxed my sister and even she could immediately feel the difference and prefers this to the rest as well!

Do not mistake for Cinnamon Red Hots
They melt wonderfully well and when applied to skin will remove hair. Beware! The nerves in those delicate nether regions are more abundant than you may think if it is your first time. But once you pick yourself up off the floor after letting out that banshee scream, then letting the first responders know that everything is fine and there isn’t anyone being brutally murdered in your home, it gets easier and less painful. You can do it, but get a melting pot. The microwave makes them hotter than a supernova. Also, don’t get them mixed up with cinnamon red hots. Highly recommend.

Good wax
Good wax, I tried waxing my legs with this, it worked but not as good as waxing my armpits so I found this description from their website. . "Effective for removal of coarse and short hairs. Ideal for armpits and classic bikini areas." That's why it was less effective on my legs. Cause it's meant for armpits. Duh lol melted nicely, drying takes a little longer so it's easy to correct mistakes. Picked up my hairs 98% first time. I wax in sections because i im not brave enough to do it on my own with one long strip. Overall good purchase.

I’m really impressed with this wax! It’s definitely creamier than others waxes that I’ve used. I’m not a professional but have been self waxing since Covid. I waxed my entire body and got the cleanest wax ever. It even catches the smallest hairs. I didn’t have to use as much wax as I usually do.A little more expensive but worth it. I’m 2 weeks post wax and still don’t have any new growth. Buy this now!!! I got the purple one. I had to come back and review because I really don’t have any new growth 😂

Beautiful wax but didn't work for me.
I really wanted to love this wax. It was easy to melt, application was flawless, the color was beautiful, but removing it left hairs behind. I tried different techniques to see if it would remove the left behind hairs but it wouldn't. I tried a different wax over the same areas and it picked it right up. I'm glad I tried it though.

Goes on smooth, removes hair effortlessly
I have used this wax to wax my legs, armpits, and netherbits, and I loved it for all. It takes a few seconds to set, which is nice to get all the hair covered and make sure it is to the thickness that you need. It's a creamy wax, which I prefer over the gel like waxes. Doesn't irritate my extremely sensitive skin.

Not My Favorite
I’ve tried other waxes from this brand, and the rose one is awful. When it’s fully melted, it looks lumpy. Only gave 3 stars because I like other waxes from this brand.

Came melted together.
I’ve used cirepil for years but with supply issues and items going up in price I wanted to test out back up options. I’m in Florida. The italwax came with the bottom melted together. When I was able to pry it apart and melt it, the results were amazing. I made a mess in the process but am happy with results.

Gets the job done
Jury still out on this. It does pick up well, but something about it gives cheap. I’ve used a different brand from Amazon and I like it more. This does get the job done though. It doesn’t break when pulling so that’s always a plus.

Not For Me
The Italwax Classic Rose did not grab the hairs what so ever. Waxers, you can imagine how embarrassing the appointment went. I had to pluck and pluck and pluck. I find the Russian Pearl is a better wax for some reason. I put two stars because it was that bad.

I have been waxing for quite a time now so my skin is used to it but o my god this wax was painful…. It needed 3 tries to get all the hair and it left me with little red bumps on all my legs,(some times with my other wax too but it doesn’t hurt) The only good thing is that it spreads nicely

Worst wax ever !!
I have been wanting to try this wax for so long. As a professional esthetician, buying the best quality waxes is important to me for the success of my results and business. This wax is so bad that I just finished using it for the first time and came straight to leave a review. I first tried it in my arm, when I say it had the harshest sting I’ve ever felt from any wax is an understatement. I proceeded to use it for a Brazilian and it was terrible. Dry time is super super slow and the absolute worst part was it stuck to her skin so much I couldn’t even lift it off. I have been waxing for 6 years and have never had this happen. Thank God she was a regular client of mine and was patient for me to be able to finally get it off. I had to take my ceripil hard wax and put this over it in order to get it off her skin. 10 out of 10 run away and do NOT order this trash.

Do not recommended for those who struggle with facial hair, its not good for short hair
This came up as a good wax for short thick which I need as i get real bad facial hair. I have used other waxes in the past, but this is my least favorite. I have tried using it multiple times, follow the instructions, it does not get much of the hair out. When that did not work i tried see if doing something a little different would help. Changing the way i laid the wax, which direction it went with the hair, the temperature, tried waiting a little longer/shorter (there were multiple times the strip would half way and it was so painful trying to get enough of the strip again to make a proper pull). Same results and because i usually having to make way too many passes over my skin to get it out it started hurting my skin.
