Argan Oil for Hair
This argan oil also contains a good blend of other hydrating African hair oils without using mineral oil as a filler. It contains fragrance that is mild if you only use 1-3 drops on damp or dry hair as directed, but I tend to use more than that when my hair is damp which makes the scent stronger. I don’t really notice the scent of the citrus lemon fruit oil, but I can smell a cinnamon and vanilla scent. I would prefer no added fragrance, but I do like the results from this hair product. My hair is noticeably softer and less frizzy after using this oil and it doesn’t look greasy or stringy. This 4.2 oz bottle should last a while, even though I use more than directed.

Smells wonderful and makes my wife's hair so soft
My wife asked me to get this for her, since she has very fine hair that gets really dry near the ends and tangles easily. She absolutely loves this hair oil. She says that when she puts it on damp hair (from mid-length to the ends as the directions indicate), it immediately makes her hair super silky and easy to comb through. Usually, after blow-drying, she can tie her hair in a knot and it will stay there. But using this hair oil, her hair won't stay in a knot. It feels very soft and silky, and the oil doesn't make her hair look stringy like some other hair oils do. There is no greasy residue, just softness. She does say that her hair feels less silky after about a half a day after applying this oil, so it doesn't last a full day, but it can be applied dry as well if a refresh is needed. She says the oil smells really good, and it doesn't take her much to cover the bottom half of her hair. So even though this is a pretty expensive product, it will last her a long time.

Lightweight
I've actually never used a dry oil for my hair and now that I have one I'm wondering why I didn't try one sooner! My hair can definitely get weighed down by oil but I like the hydrating and smoothing properties that oils have so it can be a little tricky to find ones that work for me but that don't leave my hair feeling heavy and looking greasy. This is packaged beautifully and does provide quite a nice amount of product. It is higher priced than my typical argan oil, so I had the expectation that it would perform in a superior manner. Unfortunately, I did not find that to be the case. It performed fine. I used it after the Lakme serum for damaged hair and before styling. It absorbed well and I could feel that it added some additional moisture to my hair. It had a nice fragrance and it added shine to my hair. But honestly, it was unremarkable. It does exactly what a nice hair oil should do, and I liked the softness and control that it provided. But again, it costs nearly eight times as much as my regular argan oil that performs just as well, so I did deduct a star for value.

One thing I can say about all the Lakme products I’ve used is that they all have a really nice scent. This scent profile of this product is probably my least favorite of their line of products. It’s not bad, but it smells a little masculine to me, a bit musky. In looking at its scent notes, I’m guessing it’s the amber that makes it lean that way for me. The oil itself is good. It says to only use 1-3 drops and you literally only need to use a couple of drops. I got this product for me, but my husband has a pretty wild head of hair so I’m passing this along to him. One other note, an inner seal or tape on the product package would be helpful to keep product from escaping and eliminate potential leaks.

Number one ingredient before Argan oil is silicone so if you're looking for a true Argan hair oil this isn't it! I don't know how they justify the price on this, I don't think it's worth that much for what it actually is value-wise. That said it's a nice lightweight oil that does add moisture to your hair and helps protect from heat with the silicone. It is effective. I don't mind silicone in products after the shower, so this works for me! Your hair will feel softer if you add this after the shower on still damp hair, it helps seal in moisture to your strands. The bottle will last a long time as you only need 1-2 pumps to coat all your hair without making it too heavy. Really not a personal fan of the fragrance, old lady floral-like. It's not noticiable though once your hair drys out with the small amount you need.
