Pro-Ageing Shampoo… Apparently Very Committed to the “Pro” Part
I was actually excited to try this Pro-Ageing shampoo. Although I have to admit, I paused for a second. Pro-ageing? So we are leaning into it now? Bold branding choice. The real plot twist, however, was the ingredient list. Once I managed to read the tiny print on the bottle, I did what I always do and ran it through the Yuka app. I expected something middle of the road. Maybe a polite 65. A respectable 72. It scored a dramatic 0 out of 100. Zero. Not even a participation trophy. The app flagged three high-risk ingredients, including DEP, Methylisothiazolinone, and Methylchloroisothiazolinone. Some of these are restricted or banned in certain countries for leave-on products and tightly limited even in rinse-off formulas. At that point, the “pro-ageing” name started to feel less mysterious and more… committed. I am usually open to trying different products, but this one made me hesitate. I honestly laughed a little out of disbelief, then decided my scalp does not need to participate in this science experiment. For me, this is a hard pass. If ingredient safety matters to you, definitely read the label carefully before tossing this into your shower lineup.
I don't know what people mean about the missing ingredient list because it's definitely on the bottle... Exactly where you'd expect it to be? The shampoo lathers well. It's very hydrating. It has some stuff that's made to redensify the hair fiber so I do feel a little bit of "stuff" on my hair but it doesn't make my hair look greasy or anything. If you have a very sensitive scalp, the MCI/MI preservatives might end up making your scalp itch. If you have a normal scalp and your hair needs hydration, you will feel like Cinderella getting that slipper on her foot. Not all shampoos are made for each person and that is definitely the case here. This does have a fragrance. It's slightly akin to perfume (meaning it's not just the smell of the ingredients, but also something a little extra). I don't mind it, and it doesn't cling to the hair. I don't smell it later in the day. With this shampoo, start with less and lather well. I notice if I use too much the results aren't as good.
Great product! I've tried a few Lakmé products and they never disappoint. I have graying hair so need some extra TLC in terms of softness and to tame what has now become crazy dry gray hair sprouts. I also have thin hair, so it can easily get weighed down. This shampoo smells similar to a salon shampoo, or one you'd use after dyeing your hair. It's not heavily perfumed, and doesn't linger, but it is scented. It is lightweight when washing, doesn't tangle my thin hair and it's not hard to rinse out. I can get by with a light conditioner, as well. My hair isn't weighed down and I do think it's made my hair softer and more manageable. It is on the spendier side, especially given the bottles size, but I find it to be gentle and does add softness to my hair. I am a daily washer, so this might be better used in an every other day basis or every other other day basis, depending on your budget. However, as a daily washer it's been gentle on my hair, hasn't made greasy, which I am prone to at days end. Overall, I really like it. Depending on your budget, and frequency of use, I'd recommend it!

The product listing, seller images, other reviewer photos, the brand website, and a general internet search all came up empty -- and the physical packaging was no help either. ▪️ Scent: More Lab Than Luxury: Where the serum leaned citrus and vetiver, this shampoo goes noticeably more chemical -- clinical, even. Lakme Teknia Peo-Aging Shampoo
This shampoo lathers extremely well, especially considering it is sulfate free. I used it several times before I realized how small of an amount of shampoo I actually needed to produce a rich lather. It contains ingredients such as sodium lauryl sulfoactetate and disodium laureth sulfosuccinate to clean hair without actually using sulfates. The scent isn’t overwhelming and it doesn’t last too long, so that hasn’t been an issue for me, although I prefer natural scents instead of added fragrance. It contains Horse Chestnut seed extract, but I don’t really notice many other natural ingredients in this vegan formula. Overall, I think this shampoo works well for fine hair, because it cleans it well and doesn’t weigh it down. I just don’t think I could bring myself to pay $40 for only a 10.2 ounce bottle of it, however.

Thin, runny, oily
I’m pretty sure that this shampoo landed in someone else’s shower before it landed in mine. There was no seal, plastic wrap or grabber tape, just an unprotected bottle with slimy shampoo residue all over the outside of it. For that reason, I almost didn’t even try it. But for review purposes, I did. It was so runny and thin that it almost appeared to be watered down. When I lathered it in my hair it felt so oily, I immediately rinsed it out and rewashed my hair with a different shampoo – twice. The best thing I can say about this shampoo is that the smell wasn’t terrible, not good, but not the worst. I’m not really picky about shampoo but this one was a miss all around for me.

It’s decent and works but my hair type wasn’t as big of a fan
So far I like this shampoo. I think the scent isn’t too overpowering and it honestly wears off mostly relatively fast after use in my opinion. That said it leaves my hair with a gently refreshed scent and very clean. Do I think it’s helping the strengthening aspect? I’m not sure. My hair seems to be a little healthier. I do not have the matching conditioner so I paired it with a similar acting one and I do feel thy are helping with it a little. It does not make my hair feel particularly silky after the shampoo itself like some others do I noticed though. Am I impressed at the cost and results? I’m not sure. I have others I spent money on in this range and I prefer them and feel they have more to offer with more result. They smell nicer and more quality perhaps though this one isn’t gross. I think this is a good shampoo and does what it says but my hair doesn’t react as happily to it perhaps and it dries it out a little with too often of use. I now wash with it every three days and happily get better results so maybe for some that’s the answer is balancing it for your hair type like I did.

Love this more than I expected
I got this along with the serum and I’m very impressed with how well they worked in my hair. I’m in my 40’s with some hair texture change (coarseness) due to more and more grays popping up. Usually I double wash my hair with the same shampoo but occasionally I will first wash with a clarifying shampoo if I’ve used extra products in my hair which is what I did before I used this. I didn’t know how concentrated this shampoo actually was so I put about 2 tbsp in my palms and worked it in and it bubbled up like crazy; I could tell this shampoo is more concentrated than many I’ve been using, it’s definitely as concentrated as a high-quality salon shampoo. The biggest difference I noticed right away when I rinsed it out is my hair felt soft, almost as if I had already conditioned it. I was immediately impressed by this. (I did, of course, use conditioner anyway.) My hair type is slightly wavy, partially straight, currently about shoulder-blade length. The best definition would be Irish curls. This shampoo worked exceptionally well for my hair type I don’t know if they offer a conditioner in this line but I’d be inclined to buy it after seeing how much I like this shampoo.

Extra Care For Aging Hair
All my life I've had fine thin hair that's been somewhat difficult to work with. Now that I'm in the latter stage of my life, it's even worse. Because of that, I really need to be even more careful with what sort of a shampoo that I use. This shampoo is ideal for my hair type. It conditions without oiling up my scalp too much or weighing down my hair. Lathers up nicely without having to use too much. Cleans really well and helps to stimulate my scalp. When using, I like to let it sit in my hair for a good 10 minutes or so before rinsing out so that I can get full benefit from the ingredients in this shampoo. I could feel a mild bit of stimulation on my scalp which felt great. When it came time for rinsing, it rinsed out easily without leaving a waxy buildup. After all was said and done, my hair and scalp looked good and felt nice, from scalp to the ends of my hair. My hair was manageable and had a nice shine without being oily. Made my hair and scalp feel healthier. My only issue with this shampoo is the exorbitantly high price of $40 (today's price) for a 10.2 fluid ounce bottle. As mentioned, you don't need to use much at all per session, but it's expensive for most users, especially for seniors. But if you can swing it, it's a good shampoo.

Not sure what the scent is, but this has helped my hair be shinier
I'm not sure if this has helped with aging at all?? However I do believe this has made my hair shinier and smoothed my scalp and face skin better. My hair feels stronger and just looks less frizzy than normal since I've started using it. I think the biotin in the shampoo has also helped calm down my scalp and has contributed to the smoothness of the skin on my face as well. It has a mild scent that isn't overwhelming, I can't really pinpoint what the scent is though.

I tried this Pro-Ageing shampoo hoping it would help with some early thinning, and there are things I like about it—along with a few deal-breakers. The ingredient list IS clearly printed on the bottle, and the shampoo lathers well. It’s definitely hydrating, and I can feel the “redensifying” ingredients coating my hair, though it doesn’t leave it looking greasy. The fragrance leans slightly perfumed, but it doesn’t linger, which I appreciate. My experience, though, has been mixed. Even with a good rinse, it leaves a noticeable film on my hair, and my long, wavy texture ends up feeling weighed down. I normally wash every four days, but with this shampoo I could only stretch to two before my scalp felt like it needed another cleanse. Double-washing with a clarifying shampoo first helped a bit, but that coated feeling was still there, and I still had some frizz at the roots the next day. I will say: if you have a very sensitive scalp, the MCI/MI preservatives might be irritating. And if your hair is extremely dry, this level of moisture might actually feel amazing. For me, though (normal scalp, wavy hair, and not wanting a heavy coating) this just isn’t the right fit. Not sure about the longevity benefits
I have no way to evaluate if Teknia Scalp & Hair Care Pro-Ageing Shampoo by Lakmé actually has any longevity benefits for my hair. It works okay for me as a shampoo, but I have to be careful to rinse really thoroughly, or else it leaves my hair feeling slightly coated and weighted down. I assume that's from the boitin, and it's possible that by rinsing so much out, I'm negating some of the strengthening effect. Though, since I'm using a rinse-out conditioner afterward too, it's hard to be sure which part of the effect is from the shampoo and which is from the conditioner. As another review has already mentioned, for some reason, the description online doesn't list the ingredients, so you can't make an educated decision ahead of time about whether or not this formula is right for you based on that. Other Lakmé hair care products I've ordered have listed the ingredients up front, so I'm not sure why this one doesn't include that information.

Strengthens my hair but leaves a residue
This Teknia Pro-Ageing shampoo comes in a plastic easy to open flip top lid bottle. The shampoo does have a slight scent to it. This shampoo is a milky color that is gel like consistency when coming up that generates a moderate amount of lather. It has a nice fragrance to it that is similar to the smell of a salon. This is advertised as a renewal shampoo to help with scalp and hair rejuvenation and it does a good job with keeping hair somewhat moisturized and feeling soft. Overall, it is enhanced with premium ingredients like biotin, amino acids, rice protein, etc that is supposed to help with hair rejuvenation. This is on the expensive end as it is a luxury brand and provides an okay value.

Too hydrating for me
I am a woman "of a certain age" and I'm currently dealing with a bit of perimenopausal hair thinning at my temples. Because of this, I loved the idea of a pro-aging shampoo to encourage my scalp to hang on to every hair for as long as possible. Unfortunately, this Lakme shampoo is just too moisturizing for me. I have long, wavy hair and normal skin on my face and scalp (not too dry and not too greasy) and I typically can go about four days between hair washes. The first time I tried the Lakme Teknia shampoo, I noted that it lathered up very well, but when I rinsed it out it just felt like it wasn't rinsing clean. I rinsed and rinsed and rinsed, and yet it still felt like there was a film on my hair. I hoped that at least the super-hydrating shampoo would mean that I wouldn't get my normal frizzies near my scalp, but no, I still wound up with a halo of frizz when I pulled my hair back into a ponytail the next day. I was only able to go two days between washes, and on the third day I had to wash my hair again. This time, I tried double cleansing by using a clarifying shampoo first and then the Lakme. That left my scalp feeling cleaner, but I still had the sensation of a film on my hair after rinsing out the Lakme. I'm giving this three stars because although it doesn't work for me, I think it might be good for someone who has a dry skin type and extremely dry hair.

It's just ok for me.
This shampoo might work well for some hair types, but it didn’t do my baby fine hair any favors. It felt moisturizing at first, but after drying my hair felt weighed down and looked a little greasy rather than light and clean. I was hoping for something that would help with balance and volume, but it seemed a bit too heavy for fine hair. The scent is nice and the formula seems high quality, but unfortunately it just wasn’t the right match for my hair type.

Not worth the cost
Lakmé Teknia Pro-Ageing Shampoo, Biotin Enhanced Strengthening Shampoo for Rejuvenating Scalp and Hair, 10.2 Fl Oz is a specialty shampoo that must only work with other products in the line. Didn't make any change with my hair. Lathers well and hair was clean after use but wasn't any softer after a weeks worth of use. I had a dry scalp when I began use and I still have a dry scalp. For the price I should have seen some difference without buying the whole line of products.
