LOVE.
This serum looks and feels gorgeous. It's light, with a clean, refreshing scent. It's moisturizing too -- I used it right after using the Skin House Egg Pore Corset Foam cleanser (which is also lovely, albeit quite stripping), and this serum restored the moisture back to my skin immediately. I followed it with Innisfree's Jeju Orchid toner and lotion, and this serum went very well together with that scent and made my skin feel very soft. Overall I'm very happy with this product!

This THE SKIN HOUSE Marine Active serum comes in a bright blue bottle, but the serum itself is a slightly milky translucent color and it has a lightweight, gel-like texture that absorbs quickly and doesn't leave a sticky residue. It has a floral scent from fragrance, and it also contains alcohol in the ingredients, which can be drying. It didn't up causing skin irritation for me, but those who are sensitive to drying alcohols or fragrance may want to avoid. It also contains many standard and effective serum ingredients: sodium hyaluronate for moisture retention, aloe for soothing, ceramide for skin barrier repair. The pump dispenser works well. It's made in Korea. The outer box and the bottle are marked clearly with the expiration date. The ingredients are listed in both English and Korean on the outer box, but not on the bottle. This is a good serum to apply after a deep cleaning of the skin. It does have a light smell of alcohol when applying, as a person who is very sensitive to alcohol, I am still able to handle the smell. The overall smell is very light and acceptable. One pump is enough to keep the skin moisture all day long. I have used it twice a day. The bottle itself is very well made and it has a cover to the pump, It prevents my kid from pumping it.
I have had good luck with skin care products that contain seaweed (eye masks, face masks, cleansers) so I thought I'd give this a try and I'm glad I did. I use it morning and evening after cleansing and just the smallest amount instantly restores hydration to my skin. It has a light, pretty scent which makes application pleasant, but it doesn't linger so it won't clash if you wear perfume. I would like to try other products from this company. Love the pump bottle-- more hygienic than sticking my fingers in a jar-- and the price is right.

Very hydrating.
The Skin House Marin Active Serum is my third beauty item from the company I've tried and I'm very happy with it. It has lived up to its marketing completely, keeping my face well-hydrated and supple without causing any irritations. The serum is really easy to apply because it's somewhat liquidy and smoothly glides across the skin. It gets absorbed quickly and doesn't leave your face too shiny afterward. At just $12.43 (as of 2021-07-31), it's a pretty good value for a quality K-beauty product. 👍
I love that this doesn't feel oily or tacky. It spreads evenly, just a tiny amount, and soaks in quickly. Very moisturizing to my slightly dry skin. No issues with sensitivity either. It has a VERY slight floral scent that goes away fast, otherwise I'd be complaining since I like unscented skincare products. I use this on my face, neck, chest and even around my eyes.

GOOD INGREDIENTS ... BUT SLIGHTLY STICKY WITH A FRAGRANCE ISSUE AND NO NOTICEABLE EFFECT
I already owned The Skin House Marine Active Cream for the face -- a rich, ultra moist, intense hydration gel moisturizer. So, I jumped at the chance to order the deeply hydrating Marine Active Serum with Hyaluronic Acid. They make a good set, but shouldn't be used together at the same time because they basically do the same thing and share a majority of ingredients. I was sold on this affordable K-Beauty line the moment I used the face cream, and felt this serum would be the same. The packaging reminds me of cool, blue water and there are some shared ingredients with the face cream, plus plant, fruit, and vegetable botanicals. The smelI of honeysuckle and botanicals is stronger than my preference in fragrance. The hint of honeysuckle quickly evaporates into a chemical after-scent that I don't like at all. There was also a slight burning sensation, most likely caused by botanicals, which is why I tend to avoid them in skincare ingredients. Scent is always the issue when I have a reaction to K-Beauty products. For now, I'll continue using the serum by itself with caution. Marine boosting ingredients like seaweed really do have an impact on skin (I eat dry roasted Korean seaweed all the time), so the ingredient list is no joke, but I don't find the serum as effective or notable as the moisture cream. There's a certain tacky, stickiness to it. For the company to claim otherwise in the description is misleading. I'm not quite as thrilled with the serum as I thought I'd be. Hyaluronic Acid, glycerin, ceramides and Aloe Vera are dependable ingredients. Not sure what a difference topical application of deep sea minerals makes (those marine ingredients from seaweed), but the intention is there. The real test for me is how my skin looks immediately after application and hours later. There was no notable improvement and I didn't care for the slight tackiness. Combine that with the fragrance issue and I wouldn't re-order this serum, but do recommend the Active Cream for face. NOTE: I really appreciated the removable plastic cap that protects from accidentally dispensing serum from the push button top.

The smell is not too overpowering. There are directions on the box, which you really don't need but at least they are there. The beautiful blue glass bottle features a reliable pump dispenser, and a printed expiration date appears helpfully on the back of the bottle. I’ve had great results with repeated daily use of this product, and I love that it contains sea water, ceramides, AND aloe vera! This has been another great K-beauty brand discovery for me, and I’d definitely recommend this specific product to anyone else in search of a gentle but moisturizing formulation for dry or dehydrated skin!

A lot of filler ingredients
This marine serum was not as good as I had hoped for. It has a SUPER long list of ingredients and really isn’t as pure for skin as I usually like. It also contains PEG, which is a no no for me. PEG is a common skincare additive, but it’s also increasingly an allergy issue for many people, and there are easy alternatives available nowadays, so I am disappointed to see this in the ingredients list. This isn’t a product I would use at this time or recommend.

This serum is amazing. Just a little bit of it hydrated my skin. It's lightweight and great for summer. I don't feel like I need a moisturizer over top of this. With hyaluronic acid as the main ingredient, I'm not surprised it feels so nice on my skin. It's a thick, clear serum – almost a gel. It absorbs quickly and doesn't leave any tackiness. This starts off with a fresh aquatic scent. When it dries, a sweet floral scent comes through too. Made in Korea

Extremely moisturizing.
I have a pool that we use all summer long. The chlorine is really hard on my skin. I am pretty excited at how much moisture this adds to my skin without leaving it greasy. It goes on really smooth and soaks in almost immediately. I know that the marine ingredients are supposed to be super moisture rich and I have to say they really are in my opinion. The hydrating serum provides smoother and softer looking skin. I have noticed that it is a deep moisture to my skin and seems to maintain a nice moisture level during the day. This product contains abundant marine ingredients. Seaweed extract helps moisture, ceramide helps protect the epidermis from environmental damage. Cool little facts to know. I am very impressed and am using this daily when I get out of the shower. Full five stars.

this serum is really cheap but it’s better than some $20-$35 serums out there. it’s lightweight but still does a great job keeping my skin hydrated. sometimes i’ll mix this with other products to get that extra moisture boost when my skin feels a little parched or dry in some areas. the skin house is an affordable beauty brand that’s been around for a while in korea, and their main customers tend to be college students and people in their 20s who want to take care of their skin but have a budget. their stuff in general is pretty good for people older than their 20s too tho, especially if you want decent quality for cheap. i think their products are better than most of the drugstore stuff available here in the states and i recommend this brand to anyone who doesn’t like to spend too much on skincare or have to work within a budget. the serum doesn’t irritate my skin or case any break outs so it gets 5 stars from me.

I've tried many serums over the years. Some are tacky and heavy but this is light and smooth. I like the faint scent and the fact that bottle is attractive and the pump curved. I use serum every other night instead of my night cream and this is just heavenly. I also use it nightly on my neck and top of the chest. I wake up and don't fell a film like you sometimes can with these products. The price can't be beat.

Lightweight serum.
This serum is very lightweight, and is great for the summer, or for under makeup. I'm in my fifties, so I could probably benefit from another moisturizer over this. However, it really seems to be adequate as a moisturizer. It takes a few minutes to dry, but then your skin is left smooth, and feels comfortable. I like it. I do not use this around my yes--I use a separate eye cream for that.
