The product name, Diamond, isn’t the same as Alfaparf’s original Diamond Cristalli hair serum
I purchased this because I love another of the brands product, which is Alfaparf Semi Di Lino Cristalli (a wonderful gold hair serum me & my daughters have used for several years). When Alfaparf changed packaging and I think changed some of its product line, I ordered this because I thought it was the Diamond Cristalli (another hair serum which is clear colored with diamond flecks )- unfortunately, it wasn’t what I thought it was. This “serum”, if you can call it that, is something else altogether, a seemingly watered down version of a leave in conditioner perhaps. I’ve tried to use it a couple of times since on clean, damp hair, and all it did was weigh it down, leaving me with a bad hair day! It’s not what I thought it was, and won’t be ordering it ever again. By contrast, I did order and receive the gold serum Cristalli, which has had its price markedly raised, and will continue to buy and use it, although I will use it more sparingly in response to the price increase (it almost doubled in price!). The Alfaparf product line is in general a very good one-however, I do pick and choose the items, since as for me, only certain products work best in my hair.

Amazing!
I rarely write reviews because I have no time, but this is a review worth writing. I was surprised to see some bad reviews of this product. I have a daughter-in-law who can take me to the beauty supply. I feel like I have used just about everything. I have long, straight hair and as I have grown older, so has my hair. The texture has become much more coarse and I have terrible flyaways and static. It’s also incredibly dry and no conditioner seems to do the trick even when I use an additional leave on conditioner. My hair stylist used the Alfaparf Semi Di Lino Diamond Illuminating Mask on my hair during my last trim and I was amazed at how soft and hydrated my hair was. So, of course I bought some. Then I saw this product and thought I would try it. I have been using another leave in conditioner for several years (It’s a 10). I am floored at how this product has literally changed the texture of my hair. I couldn’t run my fingers through it before without getting caught in a tangle. Now I can’t stop running my fingers through my hair. It’s like my hair went backwards in a time machine. People have noticed too. They keep asking if I have done anything different. I will be buying this product for the rest of my life. Did I mention how shiny it looks? Trust me when I say the $20 is worth every single penny. Buy the mask too. I wash my hair twice a week and use the mask once. I promise you, it will change your life. Well, at least as it pertains to your hair.

Wrong item
Very disapointed. I always use the oil or serum they sell but when I went to orderagain, the bottles had been re designed. I ordered the exact same name that was on my bottle and recieved a white lotion that doesn't work for me.

The formula seems to have changed as well as the packaging
I've used this product for a couple of years and it used to keep my hair from being awfully frizzy; the new bottle I got with the new packaging does not do so, and it doesn't soften my hair as well as the old one, either.

Love it
My hair dresser used this on my hair and I loved it. It smells like fancy rich people. This is the all in one serum and it does have a silky serum texture. It is not an oil. I apply this on my freshly washed hair and it helps to moisturize and adds shine and keep frizz away. I notice the difference when I don't use it. I even rub it into dry hair to give it a more edgy piece-y look and it's awesome. Highly recommend. Does not leave my hair greasy at all.

I use different products for different results on my GinaCurl (black girls looking to manage their hair easier with safe chemical treatment, this is a lifesaver). This product is what Gina uses in her salon as leave in conditioner and now I know why. Love this stuff
This is NOT the semi de lino hair oil. Not sure why people think that. They still sell that in the glass bottles. But this is amazing. Works really well on my fine, mostly straight, long bleached hair. My hair gets SO knotty & this stuff really works on my ends with such little product. I love that you can use it on wet or dry hair, leaves my hair way silkier than before.

Same as the old packaging
I have thick curly/wavy hair that I blow dry straight in the colder months. I like this product for getting a nice smooth blowout. A little goes a long way, so the bottle lasts a long time. It smells amazing. People always comment on how good my hair smells. I had been buying this at my hair salon, and then it wasn't there. For all I know, they had it but I didn't notice it in the different packaging. Anyway, went on amazon and found it. Interestingly, it wasn't on amazon when I first started using this years ago. Happy I looked for it again. It has new packaging, but same scent and good results.
