To combat acne, I use 0.1% tretinoin, and I alternate between salicylic acid (1%) and benzoyl peroxide (2.5%) face washes. (My derm said both were okay, since they were wash off products.) However, I noticed when I put on a regular, light weight moisturizer, my skin would sting a lot. I found out that this was because my skin barrier was damaged. I wear sunscreen, and don’t use any harsh chemical products, so I knew it was most likely due to my skin being too dry from my regular skincare routine. I figured my usual moisturizer wasn’t heavy enough to keep my skin hydrated. So I borrowed some of my boyfriends eczema cream from La Rochay Posay. It worked wonderfully, but I didn’t want to drop 15$ on a bottle for myself, so I looked for a cheaper alternative. When I bought it, this cream was cheaper (8$, what a steal!) Although it’s since gone back to its regular price (14$) I love this product not only because it helped me repair my skin barrier, and keep my face hydrated, but also because I love the texture. It’s actually less like a cream, and more like a jelly. The consistency is a little bit similar to petroleum jelly, although not quite as “wet” as petroleum tends to be. And it glides on so smoothly. I only needed a pea-sized amount for my face. Once a day on most days, sometimes twice a day if my skin was super dry and irritated. Not to mention, the scent is a pleasant herbal smell. (No fragrance added tho!) I’ve also had no problems with it causing breakouts at all, despite the “heavy” consistency. Despite the price similarities, I would say I prefer this over the La Rochay Posay eczema cream, although both are great, high quality products.

the most nourishing, healing cream i've ever had.
i had been dealing with very irrirated, damaged skin from over exfoliating and overwwashing (i was new to the korean skincare routine). i tried two different cream. although temporarily slighty helpful, none of it could help heal my skin. So after reading up on damaged skin barrier, i knew i needed ceramides to help heal my skin. I found this balancium cream that contains ceramides and have been using it morning and night. The first time i put it on, right away my skin very so much better and not irritated. Within 2 weeks of using it, my skin has almost completely healed. It feels like a healing balm on my face. it is does leave a bit of a dewy surfance on your skin because of the natural oils in the cream. But it didn't clog my skin at all, especially considering i have oily acne prone , yet dry skin. I also use rosehip oil and mad hippie's antioxidant oil along with it to help feed more antioxidants to my skin. But the oils, when used by themselves , never took away the irritation or healed me skin as quickly as COSRX Balancium did. Love this stuff! it takes a bit to sink into the skin. and if you dont like having a dewy slightly oily feeling on your skin. then you may not like this. However, i like the slight oil, dewy feeling cause my skin feels great despite it. No heavy, cloggy feeling at all. It spreads very well. so well , in fact, you dont need much to spread each area of the face. just a small dab. i believe i can apply my mineral powder on top of it if i wanted to. though i havent tried it yet cause i dont wear makeup much. But i know my makeup can handle it cause i have applied it on a dewy surface before. So to conclude, if your face has a damaged skin barrier, irritated, dry, or dehydrated skin, this is very much for you.. I''m very acne prone, and it did not make me break out at all.

I wish this was a bit cheaper as you can purchase Cerave as I usually do which has great ingredients and is fragrance free. I wish this did not have bergamont oil which has no effect on the skin but fragrance. It can be a bit sticky as well when you put it on. I don’t wear any foundation just sunscreen and tinted sunscreen on top and this layers beautifully. I live in Florida also where it is hot and humid and I have no issues at all with getting oily. I use Retin A Micro at night so I also wear this at night and my skin loves it. I just wish it wasn’t a bit sticky and I was originally looking for a dupe for the Ceramidin cream from Dr. Jart. This would be perfect is it had no bergamont oil. I would have switched completely over to just this moisturizer. It appears as if they also changed their packaging as the look is new. However I don’t really notice a scent when I apply. I have been using this for over a month and my skin looks smoother and healthier. I have also been using Retin A for almost 2 years and I still always get the peeling and some acne from time to time. This has really helped with the dryness of my skin that comes with using Retin A on a daily basis since it is more of a balm like consistency. Before using Retin A I had normal skin and now I have normal to dry skin and this has really helped a lot. I can’t say if I will continue to use this because of the price and having bergamont oil however I may purchase this inconsistently Just when I feel like my skin needs this I will have one around and keep using Cerave on a daily basis. I did want to say that a little goes a long way so I use this on my neck and face day and night and I really feel as if an inch of product is enough for my face and neck.

the best product
I was looking for products that were simple and showed satisfactory results. My skin is oily in some areas and dry in others. I was suffering from the appearance of small pimples, enlarged pores and sensitivity. I have always found it difficult to use cleansing gels because different brands cause dryness, as well as the use of retinoic which sensitized my skin and no moisturizer could restore it. Wish it was bigger!
This stuff may be my new holy grail. I tried la roche posay’s whole line, vanicream, cetaphil, cerave but this stuff is GREAT for my skin. For reference, I am on tretinoin .1%, spironolactone 150mg and I use benzoyl peroxide occasionally. I only use a gentle cleanser but these actives have been tough on my skin. as you may have gathered i have acne (hormonal). I tend to be oily but I can pair this with my SPF in the morning and not have any issues! The scent is a bit strong but it’s not unpleasant. It doesn’t last very long and sets in. If you are sensitive to smells/essential oils it may be too much- I have had a few occasions where it stung but that was when I was repairing my barrier, or I use too much of my actives. I only wish it was bigger as I use it on my face and neck. It’s lasted me maybe 1.5 months Definitely worth a try if you’ve done the rounds of drugstore brands and want something not super pricey and effective.

So far I like this cream, though I feel it’s a bit much for me as a day cream during the summer. I’ve been using it at night two ways: as an overall moisturizer, and spot treating areas that need more moisture and nourishment (I’ve been using it this way with the Cosrx Ultimate Moisturizing Honey Overnight Mask). I have sensitive combination skin that skews more dry in winter and mildly oily in summer, but it likes to throw me for a loop too. A little goes a long way! It has a texture that makes it feel like it will be very occlusive, but it feels light on the skin. If you have very oily skin this might not be for you - I used to have oily skin and I know that this is not something I would have reached for back then, but if you also deal with dryness this could be a good spot treatment for that. My skin now is prone to redness and dry patches with flakiness. I am still prone to the occasional breakout in the t-zone, but this has not caused issues in that respect at all. Because my skin is so unpredictable I always have a small arsenal of moisturizers (currently have six on rotation - this one is a nice addition.) [UPDATE] I was so wrong about this being too much for summer! It’s absolutely perfect, and even better my t-zone has not gotten oily at all. My skin has been smooth and even toned all day. You don’t need a lot, especially if you’re also using hydrating essences and serums. I really love this cream!

Lovely cream and cute minimalist packaging
I love this for a night cream. I basically love everything from cosrx so I’m not surprised I liked this ceremide cream. It’s unscented I believe but has a really nice neutral smell so it doesn’t have that chemical lotion smell some “unscented” products have. I now just keep the tube right next to my bed and use it as a night cream and also a hand cream. I have rosacea and just really sensitive skin in general and this is the least irritating of the 15 different product I slather on my face during my routine. If you have sensitive skin you’ll love this cream. I have dry skin so I can use it as a day cream too and it’s not too greasy but oily skin people might find it a bit thick for day time. (no spf though so don’t forget to layer during the day!) I mix it with a few pumps of the snail mucin gel also from cosrx and it’s the most soothing night cream ever.

Great for After Sun Recovery or Wind Burn
This is a beautiful smelling, light and buildable moisturizer that seems to be perfect for my combination dry/oily skin. I almost always combine it with a snail mucin essence or a facial oil or serum. I found that this, paired with the cintella asiatica toner from the same brand, worked perfectly to soothe and moisturize my skin after getting sunburned or windburned while camping and hiking. This is a great moisturizer for when your skin is in recovery mode and you need something with absolutely no actives or added fragrance or alcohol. You can build this cream up to be quite thick, and it doesn’t take much to do so. Definitely going to repurchase.

My new favorite cream!
Love the texture of this cream- it feels a combination of between a cream and petroleum jelly. So texture is def on the thicker side. It’s very smooth however/easy to spread and leaves my face feeling hydrated and protected. There is a scent but that doesn’t bother me. I now use it in place of my cerave cream as the last step of my routine before bed. It’s absolutely perfect for winter. I also bought it when it was on sale for $5! Best moisturizer I’ve used
I love this stuff. I usually love cerave moisturizer but I was looking for something else with gentle ingredients and ceramides because cerave wasn’t providing enough moisture for me anymore. I’ve been dealing with a nasty breakout from an oil cleanser and I tried some of this combined with a peptide serum and it calmed my skin down within a few hours. It leaves a beautiful glow to the skin and moisturizes without it being tacky or greasy. You only need a little bit so the tube should last me awhile. My only complaint is that it has scent but it doesn’t seem to be irritating at all so I can deal with that.

Great for comforting dry skin
I’m 41 and I use many products from this company and my skin is better now than it ever has been. I usually use the Snail mucin 92 all in one but because my skin gets drier in winter I needed something extra that wasn’t going to clog pores. I absolutely love this stuff. I hate thick creams but I'm aging, and although this doesn't insta-absorb like I prefer, it feels really good on my face after a deep peel or something, which is saying something because I am hypersensitive to feeling stuff on my face skin. Wonderful moisturizer for dry skin! My favorite moisturizer was discontinued a couple of years ago and I’ve been on the hunt for a comparable replacement ever since. I’ve finally found it! Not a Dr. Jart+ Dupe
I was looking for a dupe for Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Skin Barrier cream, which is now $49 for a 1.69 oz tube. The COSRX Comfort Ceramide cream did not fit the bill. It dispenses from the tube like a creamy moisturizer, but after spreading it, it gives my dry skin an oily/greasy feel. It’s a good value and a decent moisturizer with the citrusy scent of pomelo but it’s not the consistency I prefer.

Great replacement for Skinfood 100hr
I couldn't find the Skinfood 100hr moisture cream and needed something lightweight, sensitive skin friendly, and found this product. The scent is pleasant and almost mildly spicy, the texture is very nice when patted into the skin after warming with the hands. You only need a small amount which means it lasts a long time as a daily moisturizer and the ceramides are something new I've wanted to try! I learned they help protect your skin so I've switched from retinols to ceramides and they give my skin a bit of the same plump, supple feeling I liked from retinol but MUCH more gentle. I'll buy this as long as it's in stock!

The holy grail moisturizer
I've been searching for the holy grail moisturizer for me, atleast. This is it! Bought 2 of them, bought one on prime day or right around there for like 9 dollars! It's been months and I keep going back to this every night, and my other creams are now hardly used, I had to buy a second one! Even if you buy it when it's not on sale the amount you get compared to US creams is a bargain! So many moisturizers are a little over 1pz to 1.7oz this is way over 2oz and you do not need a lot at all! I never leave comments but had to because this is amazing! CosRx is an amazing brand, I have their propolis toner and serum, snail muscin and hyaluronic essence! Their brand is exceptional.

Amazing All Purpose Moisturizing Cream
I love this lotion so much. I don't really write a lot of reviews but this is definitely my holy grail of lotions. It is very moisturizing and feels great on your skin without being too greasy or heavy. I use salicylic acid for my blackheads and this has completely solved the dry skin problems this causes. I used to have to balance out using enough to completely clear them versus causing skin flaking on my nose, but this lotion solved that problem! I also just moved from a mild climate to one with heavy winters so even more skin drying factors. I sent it to my mother and she also credits it with healing her skin after a bad reaction to a retinol product (which was my fault, sorry mom :( ) As an added bonus, it also works well as an emergency styling cream for your hair, which I found out after I made the mistake of haphazardly cutting my bangs in at work.
