Sonicare alternative
Fundamentally, it's quite similar to the Philips sonicare. It has 3 frequencies. Frequency 2 and 3 have 3 amplitudes each. Frequency 1 has just 1 amplitude, the low amplitude. Amplitudes are low, medium, and high. The main thing compared to the sonicare is better fit and finish. The handle is matte, and has two flat sides and two rounded sides, so its easier to grip compared to the smoother, round sonicare. The curaprox is more minimalistic designed, so it looks better but takes a bit of intution or reading of the manual, for how to change the power settings. The 30 second timer is a musical fifth interval with the brushes vibrations. The bigger improvements over the sonicare are the brush head shape, brush material, angled brush head, and handle being easier to grip. The curaprox frequencies seem to go higher than the sonicare, but maybe I'm not using it correctly. Its the one labelled with 3 labelled modes, but it's not a smart one I think. It has 2011 on the bottom of the body. On my teeth, the curaprox pro brush head gets tooth to tooth cleaning better, and in between teeth easier, and the back of mouth too. It feels 'gentler' than the Philips because the brush shape and head shape fits each tooth better. The outside bristles are raised, and those get interdental surfaces, but not all the way between teeth that floss does. Compared to the curaprox manual, they both have their own uses. It's easier for me to get in very deep interdental spaces with the curaprox manual, so I will still use that. But I do like it more than the Sonicare. Not a lot of reviews on this product, but I had good experiences with their extra soft and velvet and succulus manual brushes compared to Oral B and Colgate. It's pretty expensive though, so try a sonicare or try a curaprox manual, and see if you like it. The electric bristle size is slightly slightly coarser than their extra softer bristle diameter.

Highest recommendation for cleaning along the gum line
I have been fighting gum rescission and bone loss for decades. As the gum line recedes, it is very hard to get a toothbrush to clean it without damaging the remaining tissue. This is particularly a problem with electric toothbrushes. While I have found the water pic to be helpful there are limits on what it can achieve. I decided to take a chance on this product and have been extremely pleased with the results. I use the traditional looking brush heads some, but the single head is the great application. It is one bunch of fine bristles so tightly packed that it looks solid. They vibrate at a very high rate to achieve the the cleaning effect. With the angled head it is easy to run along the gum line and cleans terrifically without any discomfort to the tissue at all. I have tried essentially all of the various electronic brushes out there, and find this one to be far and away the best. It is not cheap, but what's it worth to keep your teeth or, for that matter, to go to the periodontist. I give this product the highest possible recommendation.

Others are not in this league
This is simply awesome. Due to COVID and two 1,000+ miles moves, I was unable to get an appointment for a checkup and cleaning for about 1 1/2 years. And I paid the price for that - two crowns and my first root canal. You can bet I was going to do whatever it took to ensure that doesn’t happen again. As part of my effort, I gave up my toothbrush (another big brand electric/sonic one that I think is a fairly decent product). And I bought this toothbrush. WOW! I was immediately blown away and I’m still in awe. This does an amazing job cleaning your teeth. It is incredibly fast (read the specs) and leaves your teeth feeling like you just left the dentist. If you’re one of those lucky people who has only had 1 or 2 fillings in your life, you don’t need this. But, if you’re like me and you have had fillings in a lot of teeth since childhood (despite exercising very good dental hygiene), this is what you’re looking for and you will be happy you held your breath and paid the price. I honestly could not recommend it more. It is easily one of the best things I’ve bought in my 71 years of life.

WOW, so glad I found this.
Used soni care for years but they just keep getting worse, meaning the toothbrushes have problems and are cheaply made, no surprise when made in China. This toothbrush is GREAT, took me back to the original days of the sonic craze. The adjustments are easy to do and its almost relaxing which leads me to brush my teeth for 4 minutes without even realizing it.

The Battery Becomes an Issue
Overall I loved the toothbrush "until" its battery started to become wonky after two and a half months. By wonky, I mean that it does not retain the charge as it formerly did and it beeps between 30 second intervals from time to time indicating battery issues. When I reached out to the 3rd party seller, I received no response. I would NOT recommend this toothbrush or making a purchase from a seller that does not respond when things go south. If he/she decides to reach out to me I will, of course, change my review to indicate such. But until then, my review stands based upon what I have purchased. Update: the seller did reach out and put me in contact with Curaden (the maker) who sent a replacement brush. Unfortunately after just a few weeks of use this brush also showed issues (i.e. the low battery indicator did not function as a result of which I awakened to a dead toothbrush). In Curaden's favor, they are prompt in making things right and I'm hopeful the third replacement brush will be the charm. Until then I cannot recommend this brush BUT if things change for the better, I will change my review.

Best thing to happen to my teeth!
I just got braces as an adult, and this toothbrush is awesome! Super gentle, yet powerful enough to deep clean even the hardest-to-reach nooks and crannies I love curaprox toothbrushes, and while this one is certainly not as fun in style as the manual brushes, it makes up for that in substance!

Dead battery on arrival
I really like the toothbrush, but it appears that they shipped me used device. After 10 hours of charging it shows full battery. Just after 6-8 minutes of use the battery level drops to yellow. It doesn't look like they offer any battery replacement. Update: I got a replacement and new toothbrush lasts as advertised around 1h.

Gentle but thorough cleaning

The Most Effective Electric Toothbrush I Have Ever Used
This is certainly the most effective toothbrush I have ever used when it comes to teeth cleaning. I am exclusively using the Sensitive brush, which does a great job. This toothbrush is easy to use and feels good in the hand. Instructions say do not apply pressure. Just hold the brush on each tooth for about 2 to 3 seconds. Now to the cons: They do not include a feature on the toothbrush where it has an indicator light letting you know when it is fully charged while it's on the charging base. At $199 as of this writing, the price is too high. Replacement brushes are $25 for a two-pack, which is also too high. And finally, I am fearful regarding future battery issues, as there are too many negative reviews here at Amazon where they report battery issues. I took the chance anyway and spent the money, and am so far glad I did because the toothbrush is so effective. Hopefully, the majority of these toothbrushes will hold up electronically over time, with no battery issues.

Good while still good

This is the best toothbrush I have ever owned. It has two full toothbrushes, one super small one to get into hard th reach places and along the gum line, a charger as well as a case for storage. Excellent Brush Overall
Tempted by the report that the Curaprox was quieter than the Philips Sonicare I remembered from years ago I bought one. I agree it is quieter than I remembered although I am not sure *any* ultrasonic toothbrush is ever going to be "quiet." However I find it tolerable as long as I don't let the hard parts of the brush head touch my teeth. It is easy to hold, position, and generally manipulate to get the job done. It's light and comfortable. It seems to go together tightly so I don't think the interface will gunk up over the (fairly short) lifetime of each tip installation. It feels very effective and leaves my teeth feeling pristine. I've been using the Peach toothpaste. I'd rate it as a very high quality item. However... to my astonishment — after years of using Oral-B products of various smartness — the quadrant timer does not pause and then continue if you switch the handpiece off for a moment. It restarts the entire two-minute sequence from zero. At first I was merely surprised and disappointed by this, but it is gradually becoming an irritation. Whether it causes me to abandon the Curaprox altogether and go back to Oral-B remains to be seen. I accept that what bothers me might not bother anyone else so I knocked a single star off the rating of what I found to be an item of high quality overall.

The Toothbrush of Billionaires (and Anyone Who Wants the Best)
Absolutely the best toothbrush I’ve ever encountered. Have used top of the line Oral B, Sonicare and experimented with other brands and types, including Curaprox’s velvet manual toothbrush (the best manual one, incredibly gentle and effective), but this has qualities no other one has that make it truly effective and a pleasure to use. The rounded, angled brush heads are so much easier to get all areas optimally with. And it’s sonic rather than oscillating, so it’s the best of both worlds. The soft rubberized back of the heads is a nice touch—I hate when the fast vibrating plastic brush heads of other brands hits my teeth accidentally, and this solves that. The speed of vibration is higher than any Sonicare on the market, making it more effective, and instead of vague ‘clean’ or ‘deep clean’ modes, there’s a clear progression of intensities available. The case is great, handle is well-designed, and overall just a wonderful, premium product for in some cases less cost than the competition. If you want the best way to brush your teeth, this is it, in my experience.

Worth the money
As someone who had never used an electric toothbrush it took me a while to get used to it, however I suffer from periodontal disease and I find the tiny brush very practical and gentle for the gums. the battery lasts quite a lot, I charge it every month and a half (brushing twice a day) - (I dont take it to the office I use another Curaprox for that) Ofc is pricey but as someone who has issues with her gums I think is very very gentle and good.

Too noisy with insane viberation
I tried so hard to like it but the noise and the vibration were just way too much for me. It definetly is not for daily use if you brush your teeth after each meal. I felt like if I continued to use this electric toothbrush daily, my teeth might be falling out someday because of it. It's not a good idea to buy a electric toothbrush that was created by a dentist, because they are so used to the drilling and cleaning noises. Ordinary people generally dislike to go to the dentist. So, using this electri toothbrush reminds me to sitting in a dentist's chair... Also, the 7 levels of cleaning movements was really confusing and heard to identify each one for me. So, the bottomline is, don't buy this fancy toothbrush. You don't need it. Buy a simple electric toothbrush and brush your teeth gentally and carefully after each meal.
