I bought this because it didn't have many of the questionable chemicals that other products have. It's a small tube but you don't need much for each shave. It lathers up nicely and lubricates your face well. The smell is terrific - very masculine and something to look forward to. I'd definitely get it again.
This product is consistent with other premium shave creams. It provides a very close shave. There is no menthol smell or feel. Actually the smell is pleasant but not too strong. I like the size because it is perfect for travel. Would recommend it and would purchase again.
For a few decades, I shaved in the basic way as I learned when I was 15 without much thought to equipment or products. On a recent vacation, I found I had forgotten to pack a razor or shaving cream, forcing me to address the current shaving landscape of five-bladed monster razors and more pre-, after- and shaving goops than I could begin to fathom. I got through it with an excellent new Gillette Mach 3 razor and some similar grade shaving cream, but when I returned home, I thought it might be useful to reassess my old ways. After trying a number of high-end shaving soaps, creams and after shaves, I stumbled on Edwin Jagger. The sandalwood shaving cream and after shave work and smell great. They are scented to a discreet level, evidently not to the punch-in-the-face degree that other reviewers prefer. Also, my wife likes the scent, which, as any married man can attest, is a critical factor too. Originally I also loved the high-quality, eco-friendly packaging the company used. Its aftershaves came in glass bottles and shaving creams in aluminum tubes rather than the plastic, environmentally toxic materials used by most companies. It appears now, they've switched to cheap, forever toxic plastic packaging. I will switch too, to another brand that uses glass bottles or something biodegradable.
I switched from a Gillette Fusion to wet shaving with a Jagger double edge razor. You know, Gillette's model for shaving is to provide razor handles at cost and hit you up for $5 for each friggin' cartridge... (the ink-jet model)... with enough advertising, you might actually start to believe that they work well, even at this price. I just had enough! I ditched the Fusion and bought a Jagger DE razor and some Derby blades; couple with a badger brush and some serious shaving cream like this Jagger Sandlewood and you have excellent results. The blades last just as long and are well under $1. And the shave is far better! You will be surprised at the quality of the Jagger shaving creams compared to Foamy, Barbisol and other spray on soaps ... you'll need a brush and about 2 minutes to work up a good lather, but the end result is fantastic.
I really love this line. Smells great, is slicker than Taylor's and not as irritating as Truefitt (at least on my skin). Makes my face feel great and I get a great shave. All three scents are awesome.
It works well, rich lather, the cream is a little "light" but it does protect. The shave isn't as close as I'd like vs. the soap I have tried (Van Der Hagen). The smell is just okay, it's not what I'd call "pleasing" but its not offensive either and dissipates quickly.
Great shaving cream. I have very sensitive skin and have tried many brands including Castle Forbes. This shaving cream treats my skin the best of any of them.
The tube is awfully small and provides enough shaving cream for daily shaves over perhaps a two-week period. Consequently, it's somewhat pricey. In addition, despite the description of its aroma, I can't smell much of anything, let alone any notes of sandalwood, although it's generally pleasant enough.

This stuff works very well and has an amazing scent. Would definitely recommend for those who like a masculine (but not overbearing) scent.

I started buying this shaving cream as it was great for travel. The tubes meet the TSA requirements for carry-on. While the product seems expensive, you use very little each time you shave, so the price per shave is not that high. It only takes about one cubic centimeter of shave cream, so you get 75 shaves out of a tube. It works especially well with a brush.
Great product. All natural, chemical free and a brand you can trust. Allowes for a close, irritation free shave. I use it with EJ badger brush.
A pea sized dab, worked with a brush and the best shave you get. Wash off with cold water it just feels amazing, like nothing you have used before. Splash on aftershave or apply a balm and good to go. I have a feeling this will last a very very long time given how little is required.
Creates a nice foamy lather, easy to use also smells really nice. Came quickly and was exactly what i was looking for.
I love this shaving cream. Sure, it's a bit more expensive but I just haven't found anything else that compares. Every once in a while I decide, for some unknown reason, to get something else and I always regret it. Start your day off right - get a nice brush and some nice Jagger shaving cream.

I am a huge fan of this company. Their products from razors to creams and soaps are top notch. I use their sandalwood soap normally and wanted to their creams. The scent is identical to the soap. The first thing I notice when I hold the tube is it's size. It's small but a little dab will do you with this stuff. about a .5 to 3/4 inch and your good. I would have liked to see a little more product for the price but what it lacks in quantity it makes up in quality that you come to expect with Edwin Jagger.
Not quite up to Trufitt and Hills standards but a good shaving creme and th scent is pleasing and the lather good. I'd recommend it.

Very good shave cream! It lathers up very nicely with very little water. The aroma of this cream is very pleasant. Not too strong or overpowering like some other creams I've tried. LOVE IT!!
I bought this for my sensitive skin, the cream works great! Good smell, easy use, good lather, and great for my skin. My only complaint, it gunks up my safety razor, doesn't wash out well between blade strokes so it gums things up. I get about 3 strokes before I have to take my blade apart. If youre using a straight razor, then this is a great cream for you.

Seems to be counterfeited, very weak and messed up my brush.
I bought this to try since it is said to be natural and paraben-free, and because Edwin Jagger is a well known name in shaving products. Unfortunately, I found that while it lathers well with a badger brush, the razor does not glide as smoothly as it should. I was left with razor burn. I shall stay with the Truefitt and Hill and Trumper creams which are much better. perhaps the Jagger brand should stay with making razors rather than expand into areas outside its expertise.
Don't waste your money. I'm an everyday shaver and this shaving cream is not meant for this level of use. It's not a thick enough lather to support using it every day. It's fine if you shave occasionally, but not Dailey.
