Subtle Scent, Serious Letdown – Left My Hair Drier Every Time
Give it three stars because so many people love it but personally I think it’s horrible especially for people with over processed hair and I had high hopes for the K18 Molecular Repair Hair Oil. With all the buzz surrounding this sleek, science-forward brand and the premium price tag, I expected a transformative experience. What I got was a subtle-scented, high-end disappointment that made my overprocessed, thinning blonde hair worse—not better. Here’s what happened: ⸻ Scent: Clean and Subtle Let’s give credit where it’s due. The fragrance is very mild, almost undetectable—something I appreciate in leave-in products. It won’t compete with your perfume or irritate a sensitive scalp. I thought this was a promising sign. ⸻ Performance: Left My Hair Feeling Even Drier My hairdresser first used this oil on me, thinking it might help after color treatment. It didn’t feel hydrating at all. I brought a sample home and gave it several chances, applying it to damp and dry hair alike—but each time, my hair felt rougher, not softer. Instead of sealing moisture, it seemed to highlight the brittleness of my ends. Even small amounts left my hair looking dull, weighed down, and more prone to frizz, not less. Great for hydrating hair
It makes my hair look healthy, especially if my hair is super dry. The scent is fantastic! It makes my hair very soft, but use as little as possible, or else it will be super oily. The dropper makes it so easy to use, with dispersing too much product. I will say, it is very expensive for the amount you get. When they say it’s travel size, it sure is. I have thin hair, so I only need a little bit.

Repair Hair Oil
This product has truly improved the strength and the softness of my hair. I had a lot of shedding before using this product and I did not like using a lot of products out there because the product would leave my hair oily and would not hold curls. Finally something that works well on gummy blonde hair!
We are still fairly new to this product, but the few times I’ve used it on my son’s hair, the results have been amazing. For context, my son has gorgeous blonde hair that sun-bleaches and turns almost white every summer. We spend a lot of time at the pool and beach, and despite trying everything I’ve read to prevent damage, his hair still ends up looking dry, gummy, and fried by mid-summer. Over the years, I’ve tried countless products to rehabilitate his hair. While some have helped a little, this is the first product in three years that has actually made his summer hair look healthy again. The difference was noticeable after just a few uses. I purchased the travel size because I’ve been disappointed by so many products in the past and wasn’t ready to commit to the full-size price. After seeing these results, though, I’ll definitely be purchasing the full size soon.

Good Hair Oil, But Not Amazing for the Price
This hair oil is lightweight and doesn't leave my hair feeling greasy, which I really liked. It adds a bit of shine and helps reduce some frizz, but I didn't notice the dramatic repair or strengthening that I was expecting. Considering the price, I expected more noticeable results. It's a decent product, but I'm not sure I would purchase it again unless it was on sale.
