Mizon Snail line: Changes oily/problem skin for the better! *LOVE IT!*
So, I am a recent (month or two) convert to the wonderful world of Korean beauty products. Although I immediately saw results with these products (yes, impossible as it sounds, nearly all of the things I have tried have been amazing) I decided to wait it out and use a regimen for awhile to see what really happened in a longer term scenario using the Korean products and the many-step beauty program. For reference: (This is my skin, so if you have similar skin you can intuit that you may experience similar results from these products. I hope this helps!) I am 36 years old, but I still have quite oily skin. It's good on one hand as it has meant I look younger with my fewer wrinkles, but it's a pain to deal with oil, pores and pimples as an adult. Recently my aunt complained of a pimple and she is in her 60s... so I know this isn't a teen thing for me and there are others like me out there, too. With aging I've found I am less prone to breakouts. The ones I get are usually hormonal or have a very specific reason, like I did a cleanse that gave me three big cysts. Yuck! But though fewer pimple concerns is nice I have found that I now have more sensitive skin than when I was younger. So, I can't use harsh acne or oily skin products. It seems like salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide or anything strongly alcohol based will almost instantly dry me out to the point of pain, irritation, redness along with more breakouts and more oil than when I started. It's just not worth it. Yet, while I can't use harsh products, I still have oily skin with large pores that can easily be congested and need *constant* *daily maintenance* or they clog. A day of not exfoliating/treating and I can see all my pores fill back in with oil and debris. It's gross. It's annoying. It's something I've had to deal with all my life but never been able to find the right balance of keeping the skin clean and healthy, not stripped or yo-yo'ing between dry/oily or stripped+irritated/clogged. So, if you have similar skin: oily! maybe a bit sensitive! clogged pores! read on... One of the second Korean lines I tried was the Mizon "Snail" line. I got the all-in-one cream, the intensive ampoule, the gel cream and the eye cream. I don't use them during the day, as they don't leave a pretty finish or work under make-up, but their nightly use has yielded FANTASTIC change in the quality of my skin. At first use I wasn't sure I was going to like the snail creams. This stuff doesn't smell bad, it doesn't really smell much at all, honestly. It mostly looks like a plain white cream until you touch it. Then you notice it is sort of slimy. Honestly it was hard for me not to think of snail's mucous trails as I began applying the all-in-one cream and the eye cream to my face. But I powered through, as it didn't smell bad, didn't feel bad, etc. I applied the more liquidy ampoule and the actually "normal" feeling gel cream which almost feels like a soft primer, and went to bed. I had to lay there awhile while it took quite a good long while to absorb, and even then the residue left a tacky texture. Oh well, I thought, this is my night regimen, and as long as it doesn't stain my pillow - it doesn't btw - who cares as long as it works! Well, this works! I woke up the very next morning with improved texture, which was even more clearly revealed after my morning wash. My skin had smaller pores and looked smooth as some of my little wrinkles - I have some on my forehead and between my brows from smiling and from "focusing!" - looked... gone! They would easily return through the day as I make expressions like a normal human does, but each night of using Mizon "Snail" products these lines seemed to diminish, and my pores and general texture improved. Also, I had accidentally burned a spot on my chin with alcohol. It left a perfect burned square of skin that peeled several layers deep and left an angry red square on my chin. This cream, more than anything else, has greatly diminished this mark with swiftness so that even without make-up the scar is much less noticeable. I was pretty amazed. It was better than Mederma, which I had used on my appendectomy scar. Although I have been using another line during the day, Skin Food Peach Sake, I exclusively use the Mizon Snail line during the night because this is when I can get in that extra clarification treatment, when the sticky residue doesn't matter-- only the great skin I wake up to in the morning! Yay! So, in case I haven't been otherwise clear, the Mizon Snail line seems to leave an unfavorable film on the skin that isn't great looking on it's own and simply doesn't work under make-up at all as it sloughs off when you try to apply make-up over it - even when it seems as dry as it will get - and this makes bb cream or cushion compact make-up smear around to an uneven, patchy finish. Not pretty at all. But this doesn't matter at night, so I use the snail products for additional clarification of my skin tone. And for the daytime, Skin Food Peach Sake products on the other hand, leave the skin fresh, soft, relatively oil-free and ready for make-up, or no skin make-up, because you might find your skin really looking nice enough on its own. I've really found the day use of Peach Sake and the night use of Snail has been the IT combo for making my skin awesome. I'm extremely glad to have found all these skin care lines. I don't feel like I *have* to use them, but I sure love the way my skin feels and looks using these amazing and affordable products. Here is what I typically use during the night, in this order, lightly patting in the smallest amount of product needed to spread over my face and neck, usually letting each layer dry before adding the next step: 1. I spread The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Light Oil on my face and gently work it into my skin, particularly on forehead, nose and chin, then rinse with warm water. 2. I use my Clarisonic Mia 2 Facial Sonic Cleansing System, Lavender to exfoliate (this is my second skin cleansing step) using the brown egg soap in TONYMOLY Eggpore Shiny Skin Soap. 3. I pour a bit of SKINFOOD Peach Sake Toner (for pore care) 135ml into my hand and pat it all over my face, particularly forehead, nose and chin. NOTE: there is a plastic stopper you need to remove before you can easily dispense product. 4. I use the spatula to scoop out a bit of [MIZON] All in One Snail Repair Cream (75ml) on my hand and pat it into my slightly toner-damp skin. If there is extra, I dab it on my neck. Then I let it dry. 5. With another spatula I pull out a tiny bit of KOREAN COSMETICS, MIZON_ Snail Repair Eye Cream 25ml (skin elasticity, whitening, anti-wrinkle, hydrating, long lasting)[001KR] and very gently tap under my eyes. Extra-- goes on the neck. :-) 6. I pull out 1-2 droppers full of [MIZON] Snail Repair Intensive Ampoule 30ml (1.01 fl.oz.) on the palm of my hand and pat it onto my skin, particularly on forehead, nose and chin. Sometimes it seems hard to get enough in the dropper, so just make sure to extract enough to cover your face, or trouble spots, with the ampoule treatment. I let this dry. 7. I squirt a tiny nickel size bit of Mizon Snail Recovery Gel Cream and smooth it over my skin. If there is extra, it goes on the neck, as usual! I let this dry along with everything else as best as it can. 8. If I am in the mood for "extra" I will apply a sleeping pack. My two favorites, which I rotate, are: Holika Holika Wine Therapy Sleeping Mask #Red wine which looks like wine-colored grape jelly and seems to really add oomph to the Mizon Snail products' clarifying powers-- I wake up with smooth, wrinkle-free skin with this one. Or I also like Innisfree Wine Jelly Sleeping Pack which looks like a creamy jell-o, and also fights texture issues, but which feels a little more moisturizing than the Holika sleeping pack. Now, I don't always feel the need to add extra moisture to my skin, but when I do I have been happily using this product: SKINFOOD Facial Water Vita-C Cream 75g and I usually swipe on a bit of this on my eyes and lips Vitamin E Stick. A note: Make sure you get two for hygienic purposes, and mark them with color coded nail polish dots on the tubes, one for eyes and one for lips! Also! I sometimes use a mask after cleansing, and before applying the Mizon products. If I do this it is most likely to be one of the following masks, which each have their own special effects, so I add them in as needed/wanted. #1: TONYMOLY I'm real mask sheet 11 kinds. I have thoroughly enjoyed every one of these masks. I like the feel of sitting in bed or a bath with one of these sheet masks on my face. Their effects are mild, but added in to the rest of the routine, they are a favorable addition that I have come to enjoy whenever I want as they are pretty darned affordable. When I want more clarification I use one of these two guys: TONYMOLY Tomatox Magic Massage Pack or TONYMOLY Appletox Smooth Massage Peeling Cream 80g Again, during the day I use a different line, which I really feel compliments this night time regimen and has been integral in changing my skin from problem skin to the best skin I've had in a couple decades. It also works under make-up and leaves the skin soft to the touch-- not tacky like Mizon Snail products. If you are interested in that info you can find it on the review I wrote for the Skin Food Peach Sake line, which you can find by searching my reviewer profile for "Peach Sake" or just look for my review on one of the product pages here: Bottom line: I am so grateful another reviewer suggested the Mizon Snail line! Along with Skin Food Peach Sake and my two red wine sleeping packs, Mizon Snail products have helped my skin in a way that is on par with retinol, but without being agravating. I truly believe this line is fantastic for oily/clogged skin and that regular use will change the way your skin looks and feels. Highly recommended! Good luck, and I sincerely hope you get the same, or better, results as I have! Hope this helped! Disclaimer: Everyone is different and their skin is a physical reflection of this difference. You may experience irritation with Mizon Snail where I did not. In which case you should immediately stop using the product. Aside from retinol, which I have used and understand its sometimes peeling effects, I never use a product if it starts bothering my skin. I feel like irritation is a sign to stop using/consuming something, or at the very least carefully pare down use or reconsider product combos. Please don't push your skin, hoping you will have similar results of my "the best skin of your adult life!" if you are feeling itchy, peely, whatever-not-good-ee. It's not worth it! And something out there will be your wonder product, you just have to find it. Took me this long to find Mizon Snail, so I know it can take time and lots of sampling. Best of luck! :-) UPDATE 04/26/2016: After using these products for awhile, I wanted to update this review with longer-term thoughts, experiences, some thoughts on each of the individual products AND some new items I have tried as my needs have changed over time. At the beginning of the year I moved from the Pacific Northwest to the Southwest. This caused two things to happen which were related to the products and skin needs. First of which was simple. For a brief period of time during the packing - moving - unpacking process, it was just a little inconvenient to tote about my full aresnal of products. So part in the name of necessity and part in the name of science I decided not to use ALL my goodies for awhile, to really be sure they had made these changes in my skin, and so I pared down to these essentials: Clarisonic, egg soap, the only Mizon product that wasn't contained in glass; Mizon Snail Recovery Gel Cream, and my no-glass sleeping pack; Innisfree Wine Jelly Sleeping Pack. Immediately my skin lost its clarity. My pores filled up with gunk, little by little. My wrinkles (primarily on my forehead, but there are little ones here and there) became more apparent. Make-up didn't look as nice on, and settled in creases and highlighted the larger, gunky pores. Despite the physical exfoliation of the Clarisonic and the little bit of exfoliation the one Mizon and the Innisfree wine pack provided, my skin had layers of gunk, dead cells and it began to show. All in all, it was pretty gross watching my skin go back to "normal". After resuming use of the entire range of my skin care products, I realized my second problem: I was in a new climate and my skin was not happy. I have oily skin, but again, it's aging and more sensitive as the years pass. Though I had lived in Southwest much of my life, the last few years in the Midwest and the PNW - with all their humidity - had gotten my skin accustomed to not having to produce as much oil, or for me to use much but the mildest, lightest moisturizers to supplement my skin care. Although my skin improved dramatically - texture, tone, etc - after I went back to my care routine (as outlined above) I realized it was dry, super dry! I mean, I still had an oily nose and T zone. If I didn't exfoliate properly oil and gunk would build up quick as ever, but it felt like the desert air was sucking the life right out of me, and drinking tons of water, getting a humidifier for the bedroom and using the couple light moisturizers I had already (but more liberally, at each washing and sometimes as a touchup throughout the day) just wasn't cutting it. I drew the line when my new nightshift job was causing puffy eyes on top of it all, and starting shopping around for some products to aid my dry skin problems. In desperation for a quick fix I did try a number of drugstore brands, most of which amounted to no help at all, but I did find one winner in the puffiness fix from L'Oreal Paris RevitaLift Triple Power Eye Treatment, 0.5 Fluid Ounce, which by the way you can get supercheap on Amazon Subscribe and Save. It really perked up my puffiness immediately, and then improved dramatically after about a week's use. Highly recommended cheap, easy, accessible fix for puffy eyes. I still use the Mizon Snail Eye Cream layered across the top, which seems to help with texture and dark circles. It just didn't stop puffiness on its own, which is why I added the caffeine-based product smoothed on first. This is a good combo. For the rest of my skin I picked up these products: Mizon Collagen Power Lifting Toner This toner was a game changer for me. I had tried a chia toner during the night instead of my favorite daytime product: Skin Food Peach Sake Facial Toner 4.60 Oz/135Ml ( Including a Sample as Pic ), but it wasn't doing enough to moisturize. The Mizon Collagen toner is super moisturizing, but not greasy at all. It doesn't break me out, or make me feel oily - it simply begins the moisturizing process my skin had been demanding right at the beginning of my routine. It is thick, like a light gel, as opposed to watery liquid as most other toners are. I use it at night or sometimes on a day I may feel more dry due to the weather. It adds moisture to my oily, but dry climate reactive skin in a healthy-feeling way. MIZON Collagen, 30ml I use this right after the Snail Ampoule and right before the Collagen cream below. It seems to provide a power dose of skin-prettifying-moisture/collagen before the thicker cream goes on top. As I had found the Snail Ampoule to provide a lot of change in my skin, so does this Collagen version. I have used them together, and I have used the Collagen alone during the day since I've mostly only ever used the Snail products at night since they seem to not look good under makeup. Like the other products, it provide moisture, makes the skin look lively, soft and smooth without being heavy or problematic for oily or acne-prone skin types. [MIZON] Collagen Power Lifting Cream 50ml (1.69 fl.oz.) As an extra bit of moisture for AFTER I use the rest of my Mizon Snail products, I got this collagen moisturizer. It, like the toner, adds moisture and a protective barrier from the dry desert wind and air, without feeling greasy. It has brought life back to my complexion, keeping my own moisture in, without causing breakouts, oiliness clogged pores or any other unsavory issues for my oily, but drying skin. I had been using a chia moisturizer and another oil-free moisturizer prior to this, and while they too did not cause oily skin woes, they weren't moisturizing my skin! And now I NEEDED that on top of my oily skin cleansing issues. I also tried a few L'Oreal and Garnier moisturizers picked up at the local store, but they felt heavy and simultaneously aggravated my oily skin problems - causing pimples - while not effectively making my skin feel a healthy kind of moist. It felt fake and heavy. This moisturizer works perfectly for me, doesn't feel like a product is on there, but makes me feel clean and healthy. It's perfect. [MIZON] Snail Wrinkle Care Sleeping Pack 80ml (2.70 fl.oz.) Okay, this has some interesting CONS to it, but the PROS are so amazing I can't complain. This is hands down the stickiest, funkiest-feeling, gooey-ewey sleeping mask I have tried - and I've now tried quite a few - but aside from still loving my red wine packs to use on some nights I don't want the sticky-factor going on, this mask is AMAZING! Smear the tiniest amount across your face (literally half a pea size), overlooking the Spiderman-stringy bits as you take it from the pot and gently tap it on. Endure the texture that doesn't really ever dry. Go to sleep and awake with the most gorgeous skin ever! This sleeping pack made the effects of my Mizon Snail line products and the Collagen add-ons work overtime. If I loved the way my skin felt using them before, this pack makes that feeling at least double all on its own. Because basically, when I use this pack I awake with poreless, smooth, buttery soft skin. It seems to allow everything else to exfoliate and moisturize and - everything it does normally to improve texture, tone, etc. - but MORE and FASTER. It blows the Red Wine packs I'd loved until now out of the water. It feels gooey, and my boyfriend has to very carefully kiss me on the lips - we look exactly like those cartoons of two kids bending towards each other for a tiny peck - but even he patted my cheeks the day after the first time I used the pack and said "Ahhhh!" Try it, and if possible use it with the Mizon line, as I can guarantee the effects are glorious. Bottom line: Though I have an assortment of other products I use along with my normal daily routine, I am sorta in love with Mizon. I plan to check out more of their products over time and I will update my reviews accordingly because I feel like if you like ONE of their potions, you will like the effects of the whole line and other mix and match effects (like my addition of Collagen products to combat dryness) even more! Oh, and GET that Snail Sleeping Pack. Hands down my favorite item of the lot, though it needs the other items to really work the best magic possible. My God, this stuff is amazing. My seller was Bizaroo, and I highly recommend them since I can't really speak about the other sellers. I have really weird combination/oily skin where it would flake and shine at the same time in certain areas. This stuff keeps my skin incredibly soft, smooth, and matte! It's perfectly hydrating for me and does not leave an oily residue like most moisturizers do. It also penetrates my skin very well as it dries within a minute or so, and makeup goes on smoothly - I feel that it can somewhat act like a mild primer because it also shrinks my pores and acts as a smooth base. It's balanced my skin out so well in texture, color, and oiliness. My skin has brightened, and my normally sensitive skin isn't red or blotchy anymore. I wear this both at night and under make up. Even after 6 hours after I put it on my makeup, my skin does not get shiny and my makeup looks the same as when I first put it on. I usually use this with the Mizon Eye Cream (also from Bizaroo), and my skin's been looking great! My mom tried it, and she liked it so much that she offered to buy me 2 new bottles just so she could keep mine. Hah. Context: I'm 23 with sensitive combination skin looking for mild preventative skin treatments. I have -very- minimal acne (I get like 3 pimples a year), and I have no wrinkles or fine lines. I have blackheads with small pores. I can't say how "anti-aging" this product is, considering that I don't have much age to show yet. However, my mom tells me that it helps with her lines, oiliness, and skin firmness. On the other hand, genetically, my family tends to age well in terms of our skin (I am Asian-American). 8/27/15 Edit: Well, I've clearly been using this wrongly. After a few months of using this *just* as a moisturizer, my skin got super dry to the point that my BB cream would flake off on it. It also doesn't help that I live in a desert with very little humidity. Star rating will stay the same because it's my fault, not the cream's. I fixed this using by using a moisturizing emulsion underneath (Etude House) and a moisturizing gel on top (Nature Republic). I really dislike using moisturizer because it tends to get too oily for me with makeup on, but if anyone has any light moisturizers to recommend, it'd be appreciated ^^ tl;dr: Don't use by itself. Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize.

Don't say ewww without trying it.
I am 43 (44 in 2 months) and I have tried everything short of Botox on my face. I have the dreaded "11" as well as the lines across my forehead from expressing myself too often and the "( )" on the sides of my mouth as well as a waddle. I have used natural chemical peels and only ended up with pimples. I used high-end only at Macy's counters creams, solutions, face washes and masks to the tune of 20000.00 over about a year and a half time and seemed to make my face greasy and more lines. I started using lower end drug store brands. I either yet again broke out and my pores weren't shrinking. I have even tried (as Katherine Hepburn did) to just wash my face with regular soap. Yeah My face dried out and started flaking. I used less expensive green tea masks, mud masks, peels, overnight creams and home made stuff from online resources. I gave up at one point and just used soap and coconut oil lotion on my face (no change in appearance). I heard about Asian creams etc. and decided to give this a try. Yes, the snail thing did make me say eeww at first, but I have put worse stuff on my face before. The product arrived (on time) and I was giddy to try them (I ordered the full three for the set). I used the All in One Snail Repair Cream that night after washing my face. The consistency was a bit odd but not so much that I didn't use it. It didn't smell and went on smoothly. I woke up the next morning and felt a little greasy but my skin didn't have the zits that I would get almost immediately from other stuff. I have not had any of the adverse reactions that others have. I do notice a difference. Not a massive miracle difference but enough that I will continue to use the product. I had this (and the face-wash, repair Ampoule cream and eye-cream) for almost a month now. This product does make my skin look a bit fresher and less wrinkly. Mind you the same lines are there but when I look in the mirror I don't feel like I need to fix my skin so those don't show and I know I don't look angry all the time (that's the "11" curse). I will be purchasing again. *This is a description of only my results. everyone has a different type of skin and reactions may be different than mine.

Holy moly, y'all. When I first ordered this, I was incredibly skeptical (and also a little grossed out) - snail goo? Really? I was doubtful, but I was also desperate. I am so glad I trusted these reviews and bought Mizon snail repair cream. It has turned my skin around. I'm 24 and have had acne all throughout my life. The type has fluctuated (small breakouts caused by allergies versus large cysts caused by stress, blackheads, whiteheads, red bumps, and on and on), as have the locations (neck, chin, cheeks, forehead, nose, chest, back, you name it). My acne has been unpredictable, un-treatable, and incredibly frustrating. If I eat too sugary a meal - acne. If I shower too late after exercising - acne. If I wear a face full of stage makeup (and I do a lot of theatre, so this is inevitable) - acne. Experiments with pill-based treatments like minocycline left me nauseous, while topical ointments (clyndamyacin, salicylic acid) left my skin dry, flaky, and more prone to waves of oily skin, as well as subsequent breakouts. Mizon has honestly been my skin-saver. I've been using Mizon for two weeks, and everyone has commented on the difference in my skin - my boyfriend, family, co-workers, and friends have told me that I "glow," that my skin is "so soft," and that my eyes look brighter. I was recently told by an aesthetician that my pores are "some of the tiniest she has ever seen," and I used to get blackheads galore! The change has been RAPID, consistent, and noticeable. But, most importantly, it has been easy. I wash my face with Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser in the morning, and then put on a layer of Mizon. I wash my face with Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser at night, and then put on a thicker layer of Mizon. The only cover-up products I now use are: Almay Clear Complexion concealer with 1% salicylic acid Almay Clear Complexion Concealer, Light Neutrogena Mineral Sheers foundation powder Neutrogena Mineral Sheers Loose Powder Foundation, Nude 40, .19 Oz. When I started using Mizon, I had a face full of marks (probably 12 breakouts in all, 8 small, 4 cysts). Now, two weeks later, I have four, nearly completely-healed marks. My acne scars have vanished. My skin isn't red or angry. I wake up confident that I won't have broken out overnight. I go through my day without feeling self-conscious about whether my forehead is erupting. Oh, what a glorious feeling! If you've been plagued by persistent acne that seems to best you at every turn, Mizon is a great last-stop solution. I was about ready to go back on minocycline, and subject myself to those terrible stomachaches. I'm so glad I bought this little container instead! Once I've been using Mizon for a full month, I'll post a photo to show results.

Mizon All in one repair cream - Updated Review
The Mizon All in one snail repair cream that I received within 3 business days did not seem authentic. The packaging had no holographic sticker on top and two of the 4 sides were totally different in writing/design when compared to the original one. This made me check my Mizon recovery gel cream that I had ordered a few days back. Since that was my first Mizon product and that packaging did have the holographic sticker, I didnt pay much attention to it at that time. However, when I checked my order, it turns out that that too was from the same seller and the tube looked completely different on its back side than what the original design and text it is supposed to have. Again, I am not sure whether these are fakes or not but there are a lot of pictures online from various bloggers who do have the original items. Amazon was really good about the refund, I appreciate that. UPDATED on 01/15/15: The mizon website now has the official notice which can be seen at http://www.mizon.co.kr/CsCenter/help_notice.asp?brdn_num=168 . They have posted info about the their products now being manufactured without the holographic sticker. I wish the company had taken the time and gone into a little bit more details about when they started doing it and what other changes they have made to the packaging, actual tubes and containers and maybe a list of those products too. Since then, I have ordered the 'Mizon All in one repair' cream from another vendor. It had a newer manufacturing date and no sticker. This time I opened the jar and carefully examined the cream and it seemed like a good consistency that I would expect snail mucus to be like, if you were to test a 'line of small single thread' that forms with your finger and thumb. It doesn't have any odor. I have been now using it for over a week, after I let my moisturizer soak in, once in the morning and then before going to bed at night. I am so happy to mention that I have seen an improvement in my skin. I had a few tiny round acne scars that have been there for many months but it is only now that they are noticeably fading. I am thrilled and will continue using this cream. I like this product so far.

Fades scars and heals blemishes crazy fast :)
NOT A MIRACLE PRODUCT BUT EFFECTIVE AT HEALING AND LIGHTENING I ordered this semi out of desperation over winter break. I am a chronic skin picker and finals week was rough with breakouts, so as you can imagine areas such as my forehead, and chin were pretty inflamed and irritated. I turned to Google for fast solutions because I am NOT patient. I stumbled into the world of K beauty looking for semi-cheap products with fast effective results. I ordered this not expecting much but holding out hope because my skin was pretty bad you guys. After about a week of twice-a-day heavy application (first thing in the morning before my SPF moisturizer and at night before my night cream) I noticed the redness was mostly gone and some blemishes had quickly healed, and discoloration had improved greatly. I'm continuing to use and I've noticed this product greatly speeds up the healing process which is important to me. NOT OVERLY MOISTURIZING My skin is like a thirsty plant, especially in the dry winter months, I read the reviews of this where people claimed that this MIZON product was super hydrating etc. NOT EXACTLY TRUE it helped some dry areas of skin around my mouth but it wasn't enough for me, However that's not what I'm using it for, so if you do not have thirsty plant skin you may not need other products but that's what I use. MAY MAKE YOU BREAK OUT IN CERTAIN AREAS I did break out a little around my mouth with this product, however, that's often the case with trying new products as the skin purges. One of my holy grail products - lightweight, moisturizing and helps keep my skin blemish-free
I LOVE this snail repair cream. I've tried several of the products from the Mizon snail line, and this is by far my favorite. I've purchased it twice and will definitely continue to do so for a long time. I first started switching over to Asian skincare products early this year after a lifetime of battling acne and blotchy, uneven skintone. While the other products I use have certainly done their share of work, I saw a dramatic improvement within a week of first adding this cream to my regimen, and it only continued to get better until I was completely acne-free for the first time since I was a preteen within about a month of changing my skincare approach. I don't notice any smell at all to this product and it didn't irritate my sensitive skin at all. It comes out of the jar a bit slimy, much as you might suspect a snail secretion cream would, but it doesn't leave any kind of sticky or tacky residue on my skin after I apply it and tap it in with my fingertips for 20 to 30 seconds. It does help moisturize my skin as well, but it wouldn't be enough on it's own for my somewhat dehydrated skin. I apply a first essence before I use this, and I follow it up with a sheet mask, moisturizer and sleeping pack, so I don't need this to be my powerhouse moisturizing product. If I do get a small blemish around that time of the month, this helps clear it up within a day or two. I've also applied it to the backs of my hands when they've gotten dried out from using heavy duty cleaning products with no gloves, and within two nights of doing that the skin on my hands was back to normal. This is seriously awesome stuff. Even at double the price, I would probably continue to buy this cream, but I'm certainly not complaining that it's affordable! The 75-gram container lasts me right around two months applying a fairly generous amount every night as part of my nightly routine.

Initially works effectively, but over time ...
Recently, I've been getting more acne than usual and with these acne being much worst around that time of the month. I was also tired of some leaving behind acne scars. So, I've been looking for something to treat and help my acne, especially the scars. It never really cross my mind to buy any acne product with snail mucous in them. Since it grosses me out to be spreading some gooey cream that has snail properties on my face. But, after going through the reviews, I decided to try this out since if it really works, I wouldn't mind as much to actually use it on my face. Fast forward to 3 weeks of using this, I noticed within 2 days that a few of my pimples shrank in size to the point that it wasn't as noticeable as before. I got really excited when I saw results right away, since I've never tried any products that have immediate results as fast as this cream. I especially like how it helps draw the whitehead to the surface when I have pimples. After removing the whitehead, this cream helps heal my skin much faster and not leaving much of a scar. Another thing I noticed was most of my acne scars reduce significantly to the point that it's not as visible as before. Since using this, it also helps to keep my acne at bay, I do get pimples once in a while though. This has also made my face complexion much more smooth and even. However, after using this for a few weeks, I've noticed that it doesn't seem to have the same effect as I had before. It doesn't seem to help or treat my acne as effectively. But, it does do a really good job of keeping my face really clear, smooth, and glowing. Even though this is the case, it is still helping me fade my old acne scars. So, overall I do recommend this cream for acne scars, smooth glowing skin, not that much to treat acne though. The only reason I took 1 star off is because when I open the box container of this cream, the product itself was very, very dusty (mostly on the lid). The layers of dust made it seem as if it's been sitting on the shelf for an extending period of time. I was really disappointed upon the condition it arrived in especially when I was really excited about getting this product. Yes, I wasn't really happy (and somewhat gross out) about how I had to get rid of the dust to use the snail cream.

I am very excited about this product. First off the packaging is great. If comes in a heavy glass jar and was sealed very well. The product has no smell (which I prefer) and has a nice silky texture. It absorbs really nicely and can definitely be worn under makeup. I have dry skin that gets flakey if I skip one night of moisturizing, and I'd say so far this is only hydrating enough to work daytime for me. I break out very easily, so I'll update later with the skin results. ** DAY 2** The redness in my skin definitely seems reduced. Usually I can tell right away if something will break my skin out, but so far nothing is flaring up. My only disappointment is that its not as hydrating as I'd like. My skin does feel a bit smoother ***** 1 month ***** I wanted this to be some miracle product, but no dice. I will say this, it did NOT break me out at all. This product simply is not hydrating enough for me. In fact my skin went through a horrible flakey dry spell while using this. It IS NOT a moisturizer. This product should be used as a cream serum if anything. I stopped using it and switched to my oils and the dry rough skin seems to have gone away. I am SUPER BUMMED OUT that this does work for me.

Holy crap, this product is so good. Don't let the snail mucin fool you into thinking this product will be gross or slimey because I almost did the same thing. This stuff is not slimey at all. It feels like a gel moisturizer in texture (sort of like Neutrogena hydroboost moisturizer or clinique moisture surge gel moisturizer), but it actually sinks in quicker than any product I've ever tried. Like, it sinks in amazingly fast. It almost leaves like a smooth matte finish to your skin like you had never applied it. For that reason, I go in with another moisturizer afterwards to give my skin that extra moisture and dewyness I love. So for moisture, no it isn't the best, but the effect this had on my skin has been amazing. Seriously in just a couple days time I was already noticing the small fine lines I was starting to get under my eyes and between my brows were starting to diminish. I have been using it for about 3 weeks now and the lines between my brows are completely gone and the ones under my eyes are drastically better. Keep in mind, I'm only 27 so the lines I have are truly just fine lines, but it really has given me a noticeable difference so I think if you have deeper lines it would be worth the shot for sure. I love it and I can't get over how much cheaper Korean products compared to U.S. skincare. Everything I've tried from K-beauty skincare has worked as well as luxury/high end products here in the U.S, but at prices that are cheaper than drugstore. No wonder Korean women have gorgeous skin. :) (In the pic below, I have on absolutely no makeup except for the lipstick. It was a new lipstick so I tried it on and took this pic to send to my mom. Other than that though, I'm bare faced I promise. lol)

Good little cream at a great price!
I can't give this a full 5 stars at this time. I haven't had it long enough yet. I may just update it later though. I really like this cream. It's gooey though - like...well...snail slime. Just sayin'. I think about it every time I use this. And it's been about three weeks that I've been using it. First of all, I've been using it like 3 weeks and I use it all over my face (except under eye and eye lids where I put the MIZON eye cream) as well as on my neck and chest. The product is like - a third gone - at the most. The very most. I still have quite a bit left. SOOO - at the end of the day, if it ends up doing what it's says it does, it's a REALLY great deal. Second of all, a surprisingly SMALL amount goes on quite thick. I put it on after Vit C and Collagen. And I go to bed. And it's kinda sticky so I try to lay on my back - not my side - so the product doesn't get wasted trying to make the pillow have less wrinkles and look more vibrant....I want the magic on my 40 something face. :-) Third, I have been getting A LOT of compliments on how lovely I look. :-) So - yay to that. I am getting told that I look radiant. More refreshed, like I've gotten more sleep (truth on that is that I'm hooked on a series I found on Netflix and so sleep has not been my friend, as I watch episode after episode the last couple weeks). I'm looking younger. Have I got something done? Did I lose weight? All things a gal likes to hear - just sayin. SOOOOO - this cream is doing something. And I'll keep going with it.

Pretty good results, not an end-all solution
I tried one whole tub of this (120ml) and I was happy enough with the product to purchase replacements in several other sizes so I can travel or leave one at my bf's apartment. I've been using this product for nigh on 5 months, used 2x daily but I admit I've wasted some of it so it probably could have lasted longer... I have wrassled with acne-prone skin for 15 years and have resorted to looking up every product that touches my face on cosdna.com. They have a great database for products that breaks them down by ingredient and ranks which are harmful or irritants or cause acne. I looked up the most recent review of this product and was glad to see that they are overall non-irritating but also have improved their formula from past reviews. ([...]) That said, this product is nowhere near perfect (still ranks fairly high for ingredients that trigger acne or irritation) but I've been quite happy with the results and I haven't experienced anything negative despite the mixed rating. Until I find a product that is better, I'm very happy with how this has been going. Note that everyone has different skin and my experience is likely not what yours will be, just trying to give objective perspective. This cream is easy and comfortable to apply and dries quickly without feeling like i've lost moisture. It layers just fine with my sunscreen and makeup as well! I use this mornings and evenings after my showers and I like how soft and elastic my skin feels after application. I have oily skin usually this has not exasperated that at all (it hasn't solved it either but that's not the point of it) and a little goes a long way which is nice. Also, I noticed that the product has reduced the lines and skin tone on my face, but I'm only 31 + Asian so take that with a grain of salt... The most recent delivery saw some leaking that a lot of other people have complained about so hopefully they resolve this issue soon. Overall, I'm pleased with the product and the results. I cannot say this is a final solution for me but it's been a happy experience

So far so good!
So this has been quite interesting. I would highly recommend this. I am 40 and often am told I look young for my age, however, I do have an inherited deep frown line between my eyes. This is pretty much stuck with me. I do have some fine lines on my forehead as well. But the horizontal lines on my neck are very noticeable. Just to give you a little background, I have been heavy into skin care and makeup for since I was younger and really into skincare as soon as I turned 28. Just recently stopped smoking, but I have smoked since I was 15 off and on and then pretty steadily since I was 18. I started using this Mizon about 3 weeks ago and while I haven't seen quite as dramatic the results and other women have seen, I have noticed some changes in the texture of my skin. My pores are pretty large and I have noticed them getting a bit smaller so that my makeup doesn't show quite as much. I did use the 72% tube kind for a couple of weeks so that might be why I haven't seen as much change as this jar has 94% of these, well, snail guts or whatever this is. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking to heal their skin whether it be rosacea, acne proned or fine lines and wrinkles. I do have a red light baby quasar laser I plan on using. I'm not sure how that will do or if it will accelerate the process, but I'll be back to check in. 8/24/15 1st post

A little background on my skin - I used to have very oily and acne prone skin. I spent years on ProActiv, only to one day have it stop working. I was the left with extreme breakouts, that never seemed to get better. I went to my Dermatalogist and after she explained how bad ProActiv actually is for your skin, recommended I get on Accutane (had different name). I did and I was left with perfect skin... but perfect dry skin. Visiting my Dermatologust again, she said this was normal and often times gets better with time. Well, 2 years later, I still had dry, yet perfect skin - a fair trade, in my opinion. I've tried a lot of different products, to include more natural ones - coconut oil, aloe vera, jojoba oil - but I was still left with dry skin. After some cursing to the gods, I got a phone call from my husband, who's stationed in South Korea. He began telling about his day and told me, while shopping at the local markets for some kind of aftershave product for is irritated face, was handed a bottle of snail cream by the store owner. He declined it, lol. Me, being the more open-minded one of the relationship, decided I'd give this a try. After all, Korean women are known for their beautiful and youthful skin. So, I ordered this product and was immediately impressed. I put it on my skin that night and woke up the next morning with skin that wasn't dry - a first for me. I've been using it for about a week and it has given me wonderful results. My skin is moisturized, glowing and super soft - I can't go on enough on how soft it is. Wonderful product. It works well for me
Initially, I was unsure about this cream as often times reviews are hyped and inaccurate. I have to say, I have used many other very expensive skin care products, without any long lasting results. Also, I have sensitive skin and often react to many products. Not this one. My areas of concern are large pores, sensitivity and Rosacea. I will agree with the reviewers that say this cream is somewhat drying, but I believe it is also the beauty of this product in that it minimizes the pores and repairs the skin. After I wash, morning and night, this is the first step of my daily routine. I add my favorite moisturizer and/or skin regime on top of it and the results have been stellar. I have been using it for 1 week and I can honestly say, I really like it. My skin is much softer and tighter, and my pores have greatly diminished. I have no sensitivity or negative reaction to it. Bottom line, I love it and highly recommend it. UPDATE: My redness (Rosacea) has dissapeared and my enlarged pores are hardly noticeable after just 1 week! I got wonderful results with the cream alone. Yesterday I started with the ampoule and I cannot belive the results this a.m. I do add my own moisturizer on top because my skin is thirsty, the results are very good this way. Ihowever, I will now substitute my own mousturizer with the Snail Recovery Gel Cream & the Snail Repair Perfect Cream. These are additional steps in this line's product lineup and perhaps, this is what I have been missing regarding the added moisture I don't like to hype or embellish my comments, I can trully say, my personal experience with this cream is that it does what it claims. Does what it's supposed to do!
I waited two months before writing this review because this product promises several benefits (fights wrinkles, fades blemishes, hydrates, promotes healing,etc) and I wanted to give it time to work. Well, it did. I used to have dry skin but with annoying greasiness on my forehead, nose & chin. My forehead & chin had fine lines despite the blasted oiliness. I went through oil blotting sheets so fast, I bought 5 at a time. Now, I absolutely do not have this problem anymore. I saw on other Korean product websites that this All-in-one snail repair cream was really good at normalizing & balancing your skin. I do not use oil blotting sheets anymore! Apparently, your skin can be oily but dehydrated. This repair cream solves that. Secondly, since I started this, I've had no breakouts. Even the tiny superficial pimples are gone. The little bumps? Gone. I probably had two or three zits about to develop, but they never became actual full blow zits. They healed before they could surface. Third, I have seen my old pimple scars fade & lighten. They're still there, but they don't need concealer anymore. The wrinkles or fine lines, I'm not sure what I could attribute it too because I'm also using an anti-wrinkle serum. My only issue is that this cannot be a stand alone moisturizer. It is marketed as a repair cream, so I guess that's that. I use it with essence & serum before putting it on. It's perfect for warmer weather. When the fall & winter come, I will need a more potent all over cream than this. Overall, I will repurchase this!

Snail Mucus Moisturizer - who knew it would be this great?
I have to admit it - I'm getting old. I'm 45 with blotchy skin, wrinkles and white bumpy blemishes. American "anti-aging" moisturizers feel like an air-tight layer of lard on my face. Then it's all shiny and my skin breaks out, because I'm lucky enough to have wrinkles and acne at the same time! So I tried a Korean skin care system, which is multi-step and takes longer than the American wash/tone/dry method, but it really works! I put this on and it makes my skin feel fabulous. Korean skin care is double-cleanse, tone, essence(s), and moisturizer. Even though this is light and thin I thought it would just sit there on my face and be all disgustingly greasy after putting on so many other moisturizing products. Nope. It sank right in, felt nice and even when I use it on its own after toning (because sometimes I'm lazy) my skin still feels supple and soft. If you do the whole routine, you face will be what Korean ladies call "dewy" and some American women may feel is "shiny". If it bothers you, blot it slightly before putting your makeup. If you really are glossy-faced, back off on some of the essences.I usually put a finishing powder on over my makeup and no shine bleeds through. I would not use this as a stand-alone moisturizer, unless you have extremely oily skin. Korean products My skin looks better than it ever has, and this moisturizer is fabulous. I wish it came in an SPF-added version for daytime, but other than that, it's perfect! Oh, and use a plastic cosmetic spatula with this stuff. It doesn't have a lot of preservatives, so sticking germy fingers in it might not be the best idea.

I was so satisfied and was reading the label on the box
I have a combination skin meaning that my T-zone area is oily and the rest is a little dry. I have a very sensitive skin to fragrance and certain ingredient which I have no idea but sometimes my skin get very itchy, or even when I don't feel a thing my face gets this red spots and the red spots gradually swell up! I was told I am allergic to something that I don't know what it is yet. Normally I can tell I can use certain product or not by smelling it or feeling the texture. I first used this cream and I felt as if my skin has been so thirsty. It didn't dry up, but it got absorbed...I felt so.. I didn't smell anything and the texture was so smooth and a little bit runny. The cream itself is not completely white but a little clear. I was so satisfied and was reading the label on the box, however, my skin started to feel a little dry and in about 5 minutes, I had to put some cream around my eyes, cheeks, and lips. My T-zone felt just fine. I wouldn't recommend for dry skin types. I would still order it again when next summer comes, for I think it will be a perfect cream for the summer time. I would still order again soon even in the winter, because I like that it didn't give me any red spots and the hydrating effect is so great. I would use this cream as a hydrating cream and put some moisturizing cream over it.

Effective, economic and does work
I am 39 years old. My skin is slightly oily, specially around the T-zone, have zero acne problem or wrinkle problem, and I leave in a very humid country. I do get pigmentation patch if I am exposed to sun and easily get sunspot, That is why I am frantic user of sunscreen inside or out. My daily regime consist of many products ( anti wrinkle, antioxident, toner, ultra sonic cleansing brush, monthly glycolic peel, you name I have it on my routine). I am explaining all this just to let you know my skin status. I used this product once a night (occasionally twice) for about six to eight weeks. I always kept the cream in the fridge. As I have very good skin hardly any product can show any noticeable difference. However, after using this cream for 6 weeks I could see the subtle changes, it looked even younger. Probably this is what people are calling dewy. Infact my skin's glow was something you have at your teenage years. The elasticity seemed better.My under eye area became much much smoother after I started the skin. I did not see much difference in my one or two sunspots. I dont think it has much affect on dark spots but it is a supreme quality moisturizer no doubt about that. The consistency of the cream is slightly different then anything I used before. It is not sticky rather slimy. It does get absorbed in the skin after massaging for a while ( not too long though). I will recommend it to anyone although I am not exactly sure how would it be for extremely oily skin. I am stuck on the snail cream for rest of my life. On top of everything, ts reasonably priced as one bottle goes on for about two months even after lavish use. The only part I dont like that it comes is jar packaging and I have to put my finger in the product every time I use it. Anyway go ahead and bye one, I dont think you would regret it.

One Of The Best Products I Use- An Absolute Must To My Routine
This is truly my favorite face product I have used in my life. For years I have been spreading how much I loved snail mucin and how beneficial it had been when I first tried it on high school age acne scarred skin from the terrible acne I had in that time period. This product at the time helped fade a large percentage of my acne scars and cleared up my skin for the better. It is on the pricier side, so I did stop for many years until getting back to it recently when it was on sale. Formula has changed
I used this for years and the formula has significantly changed. It’s now a similar consistency to a milky essence lotion or serum you would expect versus a snail or gel cream. I use to be able to use it alone and it was enough for anything day and night giving me that glass like skin effect. I use to love the elastic consistency of it absorbing into my skin in one swipe leaving me plump with a glow and now I have to rub in watery dollops multiple times to get anything close to hydrating. I can buy a toner that’s more convenient at half the price for the same result.

Make skin dry
This cream does not give you moisture or hydration at all I had to stop using in 3 weeks because my skin was super dry I love Korean products but this one is really disappointing waste of money
