This is a great product! It does what it supposed to do. If your hair is dry afterwards you need OIL! Shampoo your scalp not your hair! When you rinse it cleans your hair shaft Follow the directions
I like the leave in heat protectant from this line but the shampoo and conditioner dried my hair and left it looking parched and poofy
I have highlighted hair. This product makes my hair stronger, with less breakage. Hair is soft and less frizzy.
Love the Paul Mitchell Bond RX Shampoo, makes my color treated, curly hair soft and it smells good also! I've also bought the Paul Mitchell Bond RX Conditioner and have love it also, not tangles! I highly recommend the shampoo and conditioner products for color treated hair! I've tried Olaplex but it was too heavy for my hair, made it flat. Thank you Paul Mitchell for a wonderful product!
Expensive bottle with lackluster results. I was shocked at how small the bottle was but kept an open mind when testing. They scent is fantastic, it left my hair feeling refreshed and hydrated. But my issue was it was no different than my lower end hair products. Nothing about this shampoo jumped out at me. Would pass in the future, it performs fantastic but nothing a normal priced bottle of shampoo cant do.
This seems to work well on my bleached hair. My hair definitely looks and feels better since using this. It's a keeper for me.
The formula is thick, which made it difficult to lather over my hair. Diluting with a lot of water helped! Immediately after rinsing, my hair felt so dry. Conditioner brought my hair back to life, fortunately, and it dried and styled normally. I wasn't impressed, but I continued using it. This morning was my fifth application. My hair feels lighter and softer after five consecutive shampoos. I'm not sure if that's because I'm using so much conditioner or because this shampoo just needs time to work its magic. I will say, though, that my hair isn't feeling as dry after each shampoo. Yes, I still need conditioner, but it's not the Sahara on my head after rinsing. Again, maybe that's the cumulative effect of the conditioner. I do like the scent (very mild) and my hair feels clean. I wish the formula weren't so difficult to lather.
In order for me to be a fan of a shampoo I have to love the smell, it is very important to me. This smells more generic and doesn’t leave a lasting scent—which is unfortunate. Lathers decently and didn’t notice too much of a difference in my hair after use.
I am strong on scent and this isn’t heavy at all on the smell. It’s very light. It also doesn’t moisturize like I thought the conditioner would or should.

I color my hair every 5 weeks, and it gets so dry and brittle. Deep conditioning is a way of life, but I'm also a daily shampoo'er, too. This "Paul Mitchell Bond Rx Shampoo, Strengthens + Protects, For Chemically Treated + Damaged Hair (8.50 Ounce (Pack of 1))" is gentle and lathers well. It rinses clean and preps my hair to glob on all the conditioner I need to restore my hair's moisture. This shampoo doesn't feel like it strips my hair like regular shampoos do. It also has a refreshing scent that is neutral and doesn't linger. Overall, I'm pleased with this shampoo catered to my color-treated hair needs.
Love this silky shampoo, it has a light scent and my hair, after using Paul Mitchell leave in conditioner has become healthy again.
My bottle came with a broken pump but I just used it. I did not complain or try to get a refund.
Expensive. Smells good, and only takes a very small amount to lather up. So far, it has really helped define my curly perm.
This shampoo gets my scalp so clean without stripping too much. Really good product.
I have been using for a week and I see no difference in my hair. It actually makes my hair feel dry after use. And not sure if it is just me but has an odor like car oil or something similar. Really disappointed, usually love Paul Mitchell products but this was a no for me. Especially for the price.

Most reviews online for this shampoo are from reviewers who received a free product, so I thought it was important to review this here even though I bought this in-person. I bought this shampoo at Cosmoprof, I had high hopes for it since I do actually like the Paul Mitchell Bond RX leave-in.... I went to give it a try and it was terrible. This shampoo left a strange film on my hair and dried it out. My hair tangled heavily and I had to buy a detangler (which I never have to use since tangling is never an issue with my hair). I put the shampoo aside and went back to my usual routine but after awhile I decided to go ahead and try it again.... and I got the same results a 2nd time. I'm not sure what is in this shampoo that causes this, I'd honestly recommend buying the Redken acidic bonding shampoo over this, its a smaller bottle but it lasts a long time and yields actual results.

My hair was flat and I didn't know what was wrong my hair dressed recommended this I got the body back it is incredible I do oil my hair before bite here washing day but I think it's this that helps them most

Love this shampoo. Works well with conditioner. I had to wash with the shampoo and then add the conditioner let it sit for 10mins then rinse with cool water. Made it easier to comb out my hair after washing
What a difference good and trustworthy hair products make. I have corse and curly hair and this has completely refinded the texture adding moisture and softness. My hair is manageable, freeze free and smells so good. Absolutely recommended all Paul Mitchell products. Thumbs-up

This shampoo has a thick, creamy texture. It has a light scent, but it smells good. I have short hair, so a little goes a long way with my hair. It lathers and cleans well. I felt my hair was a little dry after using this shampoo. Use of a conditioner may be necessary. I don’t know how well it strengthens or protects chemically treated or damaged hair, but it works well as a normal shampoo.
I've been using this to clarify my hair after it's been in the pool. It suds up nicely and smells really good. I like the way my hair feels afterward. It seems like my hair lies smoother, less frizz. My only complaint is how expensive it is. I would love to use this product and other PM products regularly but the cost is very prohibitive. Especially since I have long hair. So I don't use this regularly, just on pool days. I really like it.
Paul Mitchell Bond Rx shampoo cleaned my hair. I didn’t notice any changes in my hair (like the woman in the photo in the white shirt who went from frizzy locks to a smooth, curly look), but then I am only reviewing the shampoo – not the whole Bond Ambition Kit.
I'd imagine to get the full effect, you'd wanna use the entire line. I only used the shampoo, and my hair felt like I clarified it, but a feel conditioner and I was back to normal. Creates a decent lather, but I'll be saving this for my monthly clarifying routine.

This is the worst PM product I have ever used. It turned my hair to straw after using once.
Not crazy about this shampoo. It lathers up nicely, but that was about the only thing I liked about it. It's very thick and I had to squeeze the bottle ridiculously hard to get any out. And then when I rinsed it left my hair feeling completely stripped out. I conditioned my hair twice in a row, using twice as much as usual both times, and my hair still didn't feel right and tangled like crazy the next day. And I don't know, maybe someone with a different hair type might have better results, but for me it's a definite no go.
