My hair is shoulder length layered I have tried product after product to give my hair volume After reading reviews I decided to try this product. It is awesome My volume lasted all day I sprayed on my roots and rubbed in dried with a rolling dryer. Amazing results. No hair spray need. No heavy sticky feeling. Lots of body and volume. Will definitely continue using and highly recommend
This Paul Mitchell Extra-Body Root Boost works great on my fine hair—it gives noticeable lift at the roots without making it feel stiff or crunchy. A little goes a long way, and my hair keeps its volume much better throughout the day.
People with sensitivity to scents beware. The scent of this spray is obnoxious. It smells extremely cheap and fruity and it hits like a sharp punch in the nose.
I absolutely LOVE PM hair care products. I'm 63 years young and it's all I use on my rather fine, natural color hair. This spray is THE BEST!! It's really ALL I NEED to put on my damp hair. I then blow dry it, style and I'm done.
I’m still undecided about this. I don’t feel like I’m getting the volume I expected. And I feel like it leaves my hair ‘weird ‘feeling’. I use a couple different products so I need to use one at a time and see which is the culprit. Maybe sticky? I wash my hair every 2 or 3 days and the day following a wash my hair feels heavy and scalp is itchy. Like I said not sure I wanna blame this product solely. But I still don’t feel like I’m getting the volume from this like I do from other products I’ve used. I also have very thin, fine, curly hair. If that helps anyone.

This has a great smell adds a little volume and doesnt leave hair feeling too sticky.
This product works well to give a noticeable boost to my long, thin, fine hair, much better than the product I used to use. But I hate the sprayer. It is designed to direct the spray to a small area. Why would I want that? It puts too much product ion one area, not enough in others. I style my hair by lifting sections with a comb and spraying the roots, then combing it through. I want a spray that will direct a fine mist over a larger area. With this pinpoint sprayer, I have to work more to comb it through all of my hair, which can cause more breakage.
feels fairly lightweight on my hair, definitely added great volume! only downside for me personally is that it doesn't work nearly as well on dry hair, it's better to use on damp hair. other than that it does it's job beautifully, i really can't complain!
IF your hair usually goes flat within ten minutes after blow drying, you need this. The precision nozzle is a game changer. It contains panthenol to thicken the hair strand. It is a small container of Paul Mitchell but worth the price to try.
So I just purchased this again because I ran out of my old bottle. Tell me how I paid more than last time to get a bottle that’s literally HALF the size of the original one?? I can’t believe how little it is. What a ripoff ! I won’t be purchasing this again from Amazon.
It moisturizer of your hair, okay for value of money, has great hold, pleasant scent, pretty much light weight, and drying time is pretty fast for thin hair.

This is awesome! I thought moose is better but this is easy to use and I get enough volume! Glad I read reviews and ordered it. I just used this morning and hoping this will last all day! For now, I love it!!

NEVER found anything that gave my fine, thin hair a boost UNTIL THIS! I highly recommend this product. Made my hair feel and look thicker, also.
I still use a hair powder because it doesn't provide a tremendous amount of volume,but I do like it for the value within the purchasing, cost. Not too heavy and not stick!y My fine hair does stay soft without being weighted down.
The volume this provides me is amazing. My hair is about 3" long, so a longer pixie cut. My hair fluffs out so nicely. The down side is it builds up on my hair so I have to use a clarifying shampoo .
Very sticky on your hair, as even my Beautician noticed how stick my hair was prior to washing my hair. As I followed the directions but I didn't like the sticky feeling it left in my hair.
I have thin fine 79 yr old hair and was expecting this to provide a real boost to my root area that would make my hair look like it was a little thicker with volume. It actually made my hair look thinner & flatter. I have short hair so I used a 1 1/2” roller brush to style while blow drying. I can usually go a day or two without having to shampoo and restyle my hair. This made my hair look worse & very flat. I went back to using Dippty Do styling gel. Much better. I will give this almost full bottle to my hairdresser.
I have been using this product for approximately 15 years and have loved it! It gave me great body without making my hair frizzy or dry. I have fine hair and a root lifter is a must. But...Paul Mitchell has changed ALL of their products unfortunately. The ingredients are similar but not the same. Now the Extra Body Root Boost makes my hair frizzy, dry and unmanageable. I can't imagine anyone being pleased with this change. I am looking for a replacement and so far some of the Color Wow products are doing just great. PM you lost a loyal customer in me!
Best root lifter I ever used!! Stays for day after also!! I highly recommend it especially for thin hair!!

I didn’t notice too much of a volume difference when using this. I did like that it didn’t make my hair look greasy, but I just didn’t think it was effective enough for me. I also have difficult hair to work with!
Just ok- i couldnt really tell much difference- truly but it is worth s try imho- everyone’s hair is Different and mine is very fine so see what you think….

The new formula for the Paul Mitchell. Rootliff, it's c***. I've been using it for years. It give me a lot of volume, but they changed the formula.It does nothing.It won't be buying it again.Why change a formula that was working great for years?
