Smells like an expensive fragrance and a little goes a long way
This is my second can of R+Co Balloon Dry Volume Spray. Each time I use it I am complemented on my "perfume", which is in fact the volume spray. It isn't an overpowering scent, more of a light and fresh scent. I have very thick, heavy, textured hair which makes it difficult to find a volume spray that gives my hair any lift. R+Co Balloon Volume not only lifts my hair, it keeps it in place the entire day. The spray withstands wind and moisture as well. I spray near the roots of my hair and use the heat of my hairdryer to give it the lift I prefer. It is similar to a combination of root booster and a firm holding hairspray as far as texture. My mother and her twin have thin hair which is starting to show bald spots. I am able to touch up their hair in no time with R+Co Balloon Dry Volume Spray. They have tried several different products, everything from the most inexpensive to the highest price found. She and her twin sister were shocked when I sprayed a small amount in their hair and maneuvered it around to cover spots that normally showed their scalps. With their hair I find it best to spray and maneuver with the hair between my fingers. R+Co is a bit more expensive than most volume sprays, but it is worth every penny. Of all the R+Co products I have tried, this is by far my favorite. Each additional product I've used has a pleasant, enjoyable smell which I continue to get compliments on. If you can get the shampoo and conditioner on sale it is worth it. I cannot justify spending over $100.00 on a liter of each shampoo and conditioner when it does just as it says.

Half volume; half dry shampoo
This product most definitely creates texture. My only complaint would be that where I spray it, my hair gets snarly. Other than that, this product works like a dream. I use it either after I've dried my hair and am curling it, at the crown of my head or after a day or two of not washing it. It doubles as a volumizer and a dry shampoo. It doesn't really leave a while powder in your hair but the more you work it in with your fingers, the higher the volume you'll get. I'd recommend this for anyone who needs a little lift but doesn't like to tease or hairspray your hair a lot. I love it!

Great Product! Lasting Effects!
I love this product! I've used it for years now. Its my favorite product for adding volume to my fine hair. It's the best product for volume I've found, there's no sticky residue, and you don't need to blow dry to get the effect. Also, it lasts, and it doesn't make my hair feel gummy or oily.

Perfect Texture
I've always struggled with styling my hair because it’s fine, thin, and curly ( oh and oily). Most products either weighed it down or didn’t do much. Right from the first use, I noticed a real difference. The product added just the right amount of grit and texture, making my hair easier to shape and hold in place without feeling stiff or sticky. The only thing to ever work for more than 15 minutes on my superfine and severely thinning straight hair. Light fresh scent (if any?) which dissipates quickly. Easy to use. Colorless, no residue. 100% fine even spray (using for years - every nozzle perfect). A little goes a VERY long way. Versatile enough to use on wet or dry hair and it still looks and feels natural. If you use tons of it, it WILL dry crunchy, even though it doesn’t necessarily look it - it will freeze everything in place if over-applied and not worked through the strands or roots with fingers! (Sometimes this immobilizing effect is nice on difficult spots of an updo) A totally different class of product from anything available in most American drug stores. It’s worth it!!!

My fave!
This is my favorite R+Co product!! I have very fine thin hair that doesn’t hold volume, curl, or any style I’ve tried. I have spent thousands of dollars on “volume” hair products from store brands to luxury brands… and This is by far my fave and best product. I use the Dallas shampoo with Atlantis conditioner… then apply the voluminous mousse and blow dry upside down, when I’m done I spray the balloon volume and flip my head back up and ready to go!! My hair has volume and shine and is still moveable and doesn’t get tangled! Love it… couldn’t give enough stars

What a great surprise!
I intentionally sprayed this to my roots on wet hair (forgot that it was supposed to be applied to dry hair!), dried it like normal anyway and was happily surprised as to how full my fine, thin hair turned out! Looking forward to applying this to second day dry hair! Love this!

Not greasy. Create moveable texture and volume
Creates texture which leads to volume, but hair does not get weighted down and still moves. Product is unscented, so it has a slight chemical smell, but it that is only noticeable while spraying, it doesn't linger on your hair.

Strong scent
This volume spray did give my fine hair some texture, but I found the strong floral scent overpowering and it gave me a headache. I realize that scent is subjective, and many might consider this scent pleasant. The small increase in volume was not worth waiting for the smell to fade. I love the air dry cream, and its scent, but this wasn’t for me.

OMG the smell is like strong mens cologne. Ack.
I think it does add lift but the smell is so horrible. It smells like a very strong mens cologne. Worst yet it doesn't fade and you can't get away from the smell since it is right there on yoru hair. Really not worth the money at all!!!!!! It also can't be returned. Lipestick can but this spray can't. What the heck!!

Canister stopped dispensing the product with 1/3 left to go
I am a big fan of R+Co Balloon Dry Volume Spray, but my last purchase of the large 5 oz can stopped spraying with about 1/3 left in the can. So paid $36 for only 2/3 of the can.

ARRIVED EXPIRED -by almost a year, smelled awful
DO NOT BUY! Terrible product, arrived EXPIRED. Amazon would not allow a return. I would not have purchased on prime if I realized you can’t return it. I don’t know if this is the real product but I t arrived expired and I couldn’t reach anyone at Amazon for a return. Smells beyond bad. My kids complained even. So bummed the packaging is cute but never again and I’ve used Amazon for years and am really disappointed they will not return an expired product:

I love this spray!
I’ve tried a few volume sprays including Kenra and Living Proof. The R and Co Balloon spray is my favorite for a couple of reasons. Firstly, I’m extremely sensitive to fragrance and I find that this spray is quite mild compared to the Living Proof which is extremely strong. While this product is fragranced, the smell doesn’t linger. Second, a little goes a long way with this spray. I have fine hair but a lot of it so I just section my crown, spray a little bit, and rub in. My curls look fluffed and perfectly voluminous! I do wish the bottle was a little bit bigger as this can get expensive. All in all if your looking for an effective volume spray this is definitely it!

SMELL IS HORRID
If you can get past the musty, old grandmother's rotten perfume smell, then good luck with it. It's disgusting smelling!!! I can't stomach the smell and I'm perfectly fine with scents and perfumes. Regret buying it.
