Left my hair with a greasy film - disappointing for the price. I have very fine blonde hair that gets filmy unless I use very light clarifying shampoos. This is not one of them...
My sister, who is a hairstylist, recommended me this brand as she heard good reviews about styling products from this brand. However, the shampoo didn’t work for me and found it no better than any other shampoos that cost 10 times cheaper. Here’s what I considered. I have fine hair with oily roots and dry ends. I think my skin is more on a sensitive side. Pros: if you like strong green tea fragrance, you will like it in this shampoo. The shampoo gives a lot of foam and the tiny bottle probably can be used for a long time. Cons: I didn’t have a feeling of clean hair after wash. Despite, I washed it twice as usually. It seemed like I used a conditioner for a wash. I’ve double checked the bottle again but it was a shampoo. My hair wasn’t any different from other inexpensive products. On top I got some rash on my scalp and dandruff. I was very surprised to be disappointed in this product. Maybe it was one of this bottles that had to be sorted out before getting to a customer.
I bought this to use for my regular every other day shampoo, and it worked mich better than expected. I have a lot of hair. But it's very fine blonde hair. Since using this shampoo, I've gone down to shampooing once every 4 days! It does a great job clarifying, almost TOO good. I really need to lay on conditioner pretty thick afterwards, otherwise my hair becomes quite frizzy and out of control. But this does EXACTLY what it claims to do. I recommend buying this to use once per week or every other week. Even with regular use, I've had this bottle for approx 7 mos. $3 per month for shampoo? Yes please!!! Price is completely resonable.
I love this shampoo! It smells great and leaves my hair very clean. It really deep cleans off all the previous products I put in my hair, but I don't feel like it dries out my hair or damages it all, which is rare for deep cleaning shampoo's. I'd still only use it once a week, though, because I don't think using it daily would have as good of results. I like it so much that I bought 3! :) **DO NOT LISTEN TO THE CLAIMS THAT THIS IS FAKE. IF YOU LOOK ON THEIR ACTUAL WEBSITE, THE SIZE THERE IS 6 OZ. THIS IS THE REAL SHAMPOO.**
I had high hopes for this shampoo! I could never get my hair to feel clean. It became a weighted down, oily mess that had to be washed every day! TERRIBLE!!!
I’m simply a shot and beer, barefoot kinda guy. But I gotta tell you, I look forward to Saturday's, because Saturday is hair clarifying day!
Nothing bad about this but it's also nothing special. I've used many clarifying shampoos and thought I'll try this brand. There are better options.
This shampoo might work at little TOO well. I used it to get the blonde toner out of my hair before putting a different color in it. I went from blonde to the SUPER blonde that was underneath in just two washes. I only used it a few times, but it didn't seem to be too drying.
This is the best clarifying shampoo out there. I love this shampoo. The bottle goes pretty quick even if you only use it once a week.
This shampoo has a nice soft scent to it. It does strip out build up and dye well. I have always used Bumble and Bumble Sunday shampoo once a week. Comparing this shampoo to BB Sunday shampoo, R+Co is more aggressive. So be prepared for that. It does clarify well and will be drying. I used it to intentionally strip and tone down unwanted color dye a hairdresser put in. Two washes toned it down considerable from a deep brown to almost my natural red color.
I have a very full head of hair that is normal to fine. My hair tends to get oily so I wash it daily. I use minimal products (many days none at all) and do not color my hair. I was hoping this shampoo would make my hair feel more clean and lengthen needed time between shampooing but that is not the case. I should have read the part of the description that talks about "locking in moisture" because I think that's the issue. When I put this in my wet hair it immediately feels "slick". So, there's something in this shampoo coating your hair and I'm thinking you can't really rinse it all out. Seems silly to try to combine something that would remove whatever is in your hair from your hair but then add something on to it that will stay in? Whatever.
This works great if you use a dollar coin sized amount and then some. A little does not go a long way with this product. I'd have to wash twice just to get my hair clean and it didn't seem to want to spread well. I was often left with greasy spots. R+Co has much better products than this. Use one of those.
I have color treated hair, so I use a clarifying shampoo just ahead of a toner treatment to strip out any build up and improve toner absorption. I had to wash my hair twice with this before it actually generated and suds and cleaned my hair. If never felt "sqeaky clean" like I get when I just use another color safe shampoo instead of my regular one. The scent is relatively neutral, so that's a plus. I'm going to try another clarifying shampoo as a test but you may find just as much success with using a different shampoo instead of the one you are using every day.
This product does the opposite of what it is intended to do. It leaves my hair really filmy no matter how much I rinse it out. My hair is left feeling worse than before I washed it.
This is my first time purchase of R-Co shampoo . Just another regular shampoo. I would not spend so much money on this product .
If anything my hair is more greasy from using this. I used Oblivion shampoo with Television conditioner (very little conditioner) I've been using it for 2 months now, hoping my hair was just "purging" and would get used to it, but it's greasy every single time I use these, and my hair will never blow fully dry.
The salon that cuts my hair uses this product and my hair always feels better after they use it. I purchased on Amazon to save a few dollars but this stuff works and makes my hair feel great!
Very thick, rich shampoo, only need a little, and don't need conditioner after. Great one step shampoo.
I live in Oregon, and don't have an oily scalp, my hair and scalp tends to be dry given our weather. My hair feels soft and without residue. I can wash my hair every 3 days with this. The smell is basic, not bad. My gripe about this is how small the bottle is for the cost. If you have long hair shoulder length or longer like mine, you're going to really only get 6 or so washes out of this little bottle. They really need to offer a value size, because I think people are turned off by the little bottles. They are more like a generous travel size. My advice is try it once and decide if it's worth your money.
I had such high hopes, but this is terrible. As others said, it leaves a greasy film at the roots, and somehow my hair feels even dirtier than it was before I washed it. Returning.
Works very well. My hair was looking greasy after shampooing. From using different shampoos ..hairdresser recommended I use this for a month to clean the buildup from other shampoos off hair...I use it everyother day and works great...Hair is Shiney and looking clean
This clarifying shampoo is a must have for me. I have very fine hair and live in an area with very hard water. It leaves my hair feeling clean and weightless.

I use this shampoo once a week and finish with moisturising or biotin conditioner also from R+Co. My hair feels so fresh, light, shiny and manageable. I had dry and damaged natural hair and was afraid the product can worsen the situation. So I was surprised with such a good result. I tried many hair products before finding this one and I am happy.
They were all right ! It smells very very good. No perfume smell which is super important to me. Hair feels wonderful and it is a must have. So glad I tried it.
Very good shampoo. A little pricey but worth it. The first time i used it i hadn't read the directions because hey it's shampoo..... So after reading the directions i learned that you're supposed to let it sit in the hair for a minute or two after massaging it in and boy that made a world of difference. My hair came out nice and soft and clean!

This shampoo works well on oily hair and smells great. It is a tad expensive but worth it.
The Shampoo is thick and you don't need very much. Works great.

I have straight hair that produces a lot of oil and builds up. This shampoo did nothing to clarify and left my hair filmy and gross. It also smells terrible. I feel like I just rubbed perfume in my hair and R&Co calls that clean and clarified. Terrible product
This product was harsh on my fine hair & felt like it left a hard residue on the hairs. I had to use a diff product to restore my hair to feeling more natural, & it’s light as a cloud feel. No way would I recommend this product & wished I’d never tried it nor wasted the money.
I am just so sad because this didn't make my hair feel like it had been clarified of any product buildup. For the price and the hype, I was expecting more. Won't buy again.
