Love this stuff
Love this stuff! I have really straight fine hair and oily skin so I often have really flat looking hair with no volume. After shampooing my hair and towel-drying it, I spray this all over my hair and then brush my hair and let it air-dry (or blow dry). It helps give me some volume and texture. The only thing that is annoying about this product is that after you spray it all over your hair, it does make it difficult to brush my hair. I guess whatever product is in it that helps with the volumizing also makes my hair difficult to brush . So it will look good but don't try running your fingers through it or else it will get caught (lol!). Overall very good product if you want some more life and volume to your hair. Here is a tip if you are trying to go for beachy waves and have straight hair: towel dry hair, spray on hair, then let it sit on there for like 20 mins before brushing hair so it will dry a little wavy.

Great for short, fine hair!
Love this product so far! I have fine, super soft, straight hair in a pixie cut. I spray this product on wet hair before blowing drying with a round brush. A little of the product goes a long way and it helps create volume while simultaneously smooths and makes my hair feel a bit gritty - which I desperately need so hairstyles will hold. To me the scent is very light and does not linger. I will definitely be repurchasing!

Great for texture
I love this product. I have shoulder-length hair with a bit of natural wave, and I use it after towel-drying my hair and using a leave-in conditioner. A couple of quick, small sprays (I never push the pump all the way down, just enough to give a few drops evenly about half-way down the shaft of my hair is plenty) and a quick twist to style my waves is all it takes. Once my hair is dry, I might use hair spray or a bit more Rockaway to define the waves and give it volume.

Worth the purchase!
I have super straight, thin, fine hair. Normally it looks awful air dried. This actually gave me a beach wave! I washed it, sprayed it on wet hair, and scrunched it in. I ended up with a light wave and more volume, and to add a bonus it wasn’t too hard or crunchy afterward. I was so pleasantly surprised with this purchase and it’s 100% worth the money.

Great texturizing product
This is my new go-to texturizing spray. R+co products are worth the price. I have stick-straight hair and this adds great texture. I use it along with the R+Co mannequin paste. I will dry my hair most of the way before drying, then then blow dry my hair a little bit more after applying to get the best results. If you let it air dry your hair might come out a little bit stiff.

The fragrance is great but for the price it just doesn't work as well as some products
I LOVE the fragrance of the R+Co Rockaway Salt Spray and sometimes use it just because of that. However, it tends to leave my hair looking more dried out and frizzy than anything. I have tried putting it on my hair after it is dried, before it is dried, and just letting it dry in my hair. It does not give me the "at the beach" look I was hoping for. I do have extremely fine hair but I have used less expensive products that did a much better job of making my hair look like I just left the beach than this stuff. I will say my hair does look a bit better the next day. I can actually get away without washing it and spraying more of the spray in. Because of my fine hair I typically can't go a day without washing it or it will look greasy. So in that sense the spray is handy to have around for a quick look without washing my hair if I want to look decent running errands, etc.

Love this product. My hair is a little longer these days and this salt spray really helps the flow. This company is the bee's knees. After getting a sample of the leave in conditioner from Ipsy or Birchbox (I forget which) I ordered a large tube of that...(changed my whole hair game and my life) Then, I ordered this on Amazon to avoid shipping costs. This is a great salt spray. It does leave your hair a bit crunchy if you use too much so, I passed it on to my Mom who likes that look. She swears by it. If you get a chance, order the leave in conditioner too. That stuff is worth it's weight in gold!!!!! My hubby tried it on his beard and loved it too...but, I won't share!!!! I have super fine, super thin hair so I only need a pea size amount. This product will last a long time! It works and doesn't take much! Great investment!

Great for my curly hair!
I love this, the salon used it to help bring define my curls. I use it now and it does a great job. My hair looks well-defined and yeah, beachy I guess. I have very curly hair and the effect this has on it is similar to a cream, just not as heavy and easier to use. The spray application is nice but it is hard to keep off my face, so I wash my face after or cover it with a towel.

Not as great and bottle leaks badly
I bought this as a travel sized replacement for the Sail Away spray which I love, but this has very little of the same effects and made my hair more frizzy than curly. But the most frustrating part of this product is that it’s sized for travel, and 100% not travel proof. It has leaked on every single trip, including when it was delivered. I have used it twice and the bottle is already more than half gone from leakage. Will not be taking this product on my next vacation.

Has an Abercrombie cologne type scent
I LOVE R+co products, especially the scents, so I took a gamble on this salt spray. It has a super early 2000s scent to it that I didn’t want any where near my head, so I didn’t even try it in my hair. If you love Death Valley or Rodeo scent line stuff, this is a whole different ball game! I’m sure some people like it but not for me

Sticky. Didn’t work for me
I generally love R + Co products- although l think their customer service is none existent). I tried this spray because l have fine curly hair and l know that salt generally helps curls to curl better. So the volumizing was just a bonus. However it didn’t do any of these things for me. The only think it did for me was to make my hair sticky.

Salty in Price

ALREADY USED
The spray was delivered sans any sort of packaging and was missing its cap. I also noticed the product level in the bottle seems a little low. All of this makes me suspicious that I received a used bottle, to say the least. The smell is very powerful- if you are someone who doesn’t like perfume, you won’t like the smell of this. As far as how it works- tbd (maybe). I’ll likely return this bottle, and probably won’t re-order due to the smell.
