Nothing has ever worked on my flat, thin hair - except for this. While it is super pricey, it definitely works. My hair didn’t get flat or stringy all day on day 1 of using it and it wasn’t crunchy or have a nasty feeling to it. Definitely recommend if you have flat, fine hair that turns stringy the moment you leave the bathroom mirror!!
This item was defective and barely dispensed any foam. I tried to return via Amazon and was only given the option to contact the company. I did that and received this response: "Since this was not purchased directly from our website, to be reimbursed or replaced, it must be through the retailer or e-commerce in which it was purchased." I tried again with Amazon but no luck. This foam is too expensive to not have the option to return when defective.
I have very fine type 1A hair — the kind that goes flat and stringy. So I wear a very short pixie cut and use product to give it some umph. My routine is now to start with a few squirts of B&B thickening spray combed through followed with a Tbsp size of R+Co Rodeo Star. And I absolutely LOVE the result. I’ve used the B&B with other products with poor results — so I know the success of this combo is due to the R+Co Rodeo Star Thickening Foam. Big smile 😁
it seems like it was used. It barely disburses the product.
The product works very well, but has a strong musky smell that I can’t get past. It really lingers. If this were fragrance free or a lighter fragrance, this would be a go to product.
While I love this brand's shampoo, not so much this thickening foam. The scent is rather strong, and though I don't mind that in the shampoo, not as much in the foam. That aside, though, the part that had me giving it 3 stars is that it dried out my hair somewhat. After applying some from roots to mid-ends, I blew dried my hair and there were a lot of fly-aways and static. It didn't particularly add much volume but I do have very baby fine thinner hair. I'd likely not reorder, mostly because of the drying out my hair feel.
I have used various R+Co products & love their Gemstone shampoo. I have thinning hair and am always trying new volumizing styling products. I purchased this due to good reviews and bought the smaller size to see if I liked it. I can honestly say I didn't notice any difference, if only slightly. My hair is below my shoulders and I style it straight. No drastic lift at the roots, etc. And as other reviews have noted, the nozzle is definitely a problem. Doesn't work properly. I'm just glad I paid $17 vs $35!! I suggest buying the smaller size if you want try it out first. Didn't work for me.
I don’t recommend purchasing this item. When I saw the price I was under the impression it would be a normal size bottle but it is travel size and extremely small. I used this product once before the dispenser at the top stopped working. I tried cleaning it, running it under warm water, shaking the bottle but the product does not come out anymore due to the top being broken and not dispensing anything but drops of the liquid inside. The bottle is still full but I can’t even use the product….
Have no way of fairly reviewing product itself since none of it will come out, not even a tiny bit. This item is not eligible for return so this falls into waste of money category.
With very thin but ultra curly hair, I'm picky about what I use on it. I could end up looking like a q-tip or like a drowned rat if I'm not careful. R+Co thickening style foam is one of my go-to products. It has what I call a "woodsy" smell but it isn't masculine. It gives my hair a more full appearance and holds my curls but isn't super stiff or greasy.
Doubles hair volume if you have very fine hair.

Definitely thickens up my hair without weighing it down and a little bit goes a long way!
I love the product but the dispenser works randomly. After a few uses it just dispensed a liquid as opposed to a mousse. I had to return but will try reordering
I absolutely loved the product itself and the concept of the Company as whole also. I had just had a baby in August and was loosing so much hair from being post partum and i was really self conscious about it. I tried this first from a subscription box I get, and the nozzle stopped working but I already knew I loved the product. So I came on Amazon to purchase it for myself and I maybe used it three times....and again the nozzle stopped dispensing product. I tried everything to get it to work again and i finally just gave up. BUT its passed the return date so im stuck with two thinga of product that i love and cant use. Very frustrating....but if you get a can that actually works then i HIGHLY would recommend it. I recently emailed the company directly to see if they have any recommendations.
Not the greatest I always prefer the spray to the foam but if I ran out of this rain couldn't get any more I would use the foam. Too sticky smells weird. Does not hold well. Weird appearance!
Do not buy this OVER PRICED size …. They are charging the price of a 5.3 oz container for this small 1 oz container. And they will NOT let you return it….. if I could select no stars, I would.

Product was broken when I opened the box - the cap was snapped off. Pretty disappointing to not be able to return it and a waste of money.

I love this product. I have relative thick, but soft, hair. I need a "boost" and this provides it. Before I use my hot rollers or curling iron, I spray this on. It's absolutely NOT sticky or thick -- it just gives my hair some body. I have used it for 2 years now and I am thrilled.

Love R+CO products. Bought this as a replacement to the Chiffon mouse as it was sold out. Rodeo Star is just too think for fine hair. Left my hair feeling heavy. Great product i'm sure, just not for people with fine hair.
Does the product work? Yes. However the smell is so strong and so off-putting that after an hour I had to wash it out because it was unbearable. Kind of reminded me of 80s perm solution.
This is not what I thought. Did not help what so ever. This was a wast of money.
