Helps soothe the dreaded eczema scalp.
Switched to R + Co. after trying it out at my salon. After the dreaded season eczema flare up began I tried this to see if it would clear the product buildup and sooth my scalp. Happy to report it does both. Swap out Atlantis shampoo for Submarine one a month and finish with Atlantic conditioner. Style as usual. Note that a little goes a looong way. I have waist length hair and I use less than a silver dollar for the lot. Happy styling.

Awesome shampoo!
My hair has been looking dull, dry and blah. Frizzy and fly-away. Just after one use of this shampoo, hair looked shinier and revitalized, felt softer. It's a thick shampoo, use as instructed, it won't lather much but work it in, rinse and dry. I like that it deep cleans without stripping the hair. I will be using it on a regular maintenance basis every couple weeks. Great product!

Travel Sized Bottle
Gluten free, vegan, & cruelty free! Lovely scent and gentle daily hair shampoo/scrub. Did not flair up my hormonal scalp acne as well as did not make my scalp over dry/flakey. Only downfall is states can be used “daily”… however the value for this small travel (3oz) size bottle is not affordable. Don’t get me wrong this is a wonderful clarifying shampoo for all hair types, but cost is not budget friendly. Made in USA

Cleanest and softest hair
I was concerned this would dry my hair out, often shampoos that clean well strip too much, but my hair is as soft as can be and so happy. Love the cooling feeling and my scalp feels cleaner and fresher than with another product I’ve used. I follow this with the super garden hair treatment at the recommendation of my stylist and my scalp has never been happier. Highly recommend if you have troubled/difficult scalp.

Works without drying out my hair!
I get sticky oily dandruff, but dandruff shampoos that I've tried in the past have dried out my hair too much or do nothing at best. I have fine wavy hair so the dryness causes breakage, frizz, etc... I decided to give this one a try, and I'm pleasantly surprised! It's a small bottle and expensive, but I don't think you need much. The shampoo is a thick gel that you wet before massaging into the scalp. I've used it on its own or with another shampoo (either at the same time or regular shampoo one wash and this shampoo at a later wash), and either way it works really well. My hair gets oily after a couple days, but with no dandruff, which is shocking! I now wash my hair like 1-2x per week and use dry shampoo in between. Because of the price I don't know if I'll buy again or just go back to my old routine of washing more often, but I do like the way my hair has been looking lately and that might be worth it.

strong fragrance, best for oily scalps
This R+Co SUBMARINE exfoliating shampoo works well, especially for oily scalps. The price point is high but this is marketed as a premium brand and it's also meant to be used only about once a week to clarify and remove product buildup. It contains AHAs (lactic acid and glycolic acid). It's scented with a sweet floral fragrance. I could even smell it through the seal underneath the cap before I opened and used it. It's made in the USA. Love This Shampoo!
Love all R+Co products and this shampoo didn't disappoint. I use a lot of product in my hair, it is thin and fine so I use a lot of volumizing products on my roots and my hair gets build up easily. I use this about 2 times a week and it does wonders for my hair. It helps get rid of the build up and refreshes my scalp but is still gentle and doesn't dry out my hair. It smells great as well but the scent isn't overwhelming which is important to me. Overall would definitely recommend!

R&Co makes nice products, this one leaves scalp squeaky clean!
I am usually a skeptic when it comes to claims for shampoos because you literally put it on and wash it off, right? This one is quite pricey. So we went through the whole tube and I had my husband try it too. It does a really nice tingly job on the scalp with minimal lather. I have oily hair and fine hair, my husband has very thick hair that gets oily too. He uses pomades and thick products for his hair so we were excited to see how it worked. A little goes a nice long way with this one. It seems to do a great job removing build-up without stripping your hair down. I've used "clarifying" and "exfoliating" products that just left my hair feeling like straw. Not the case with this one. What I don't like was how strongly scented it was. It's not unpleasant but not my favorite and if you are sensitive to fragrances this may not be for you. My husband stopped using it because he hated the smell. I don't know if it's worth it for the price as there are cheaper products out there that will do just as good a job cleaning. But if you are an R&Co fan and it's in your budget this is definitely worth a shot.

Keeps me greaseless for about 2.5 days
I am someone that has high sebum production. Usually, I can get 1.5 days without having to use dry shampoo to make my hair look less grease pitty. I can get about 2.5 days with this shampoo with only one application i.e. no double cleanse. I do not condition my roots and avoid hair styling products there, too. However, if I am using a heat protectant, it is used sparingly there. Great product.

Very effective but expensive for travel size bottle
This brand is one of the very famous and well known brand when it comes to hair products and I really like them. This shampoo comes in very small bottle which is mostly looks like a travel size as it contains about 3 oz of product. Based on the price, I think it's expensive but it's very effective that it's worth a try. It helps nourishing and cleansing the scalp especially if your scalp is dry or itchy. It has very decent smell and not strong at all and it's better to leave it on for about couple minutes before rinsing it off. I have long hair and it lasted about 3-4 wash for me which is still pricey in opinion.

Good but expensive.
This shampoo is a sample size, so it is expensive. I wash my hair every other day, so I’m using it every 3 washes. I have shoulder length thin hair. This shampoo does not lather, so for me it’s kind of difficult to measure how much of it I need for my hair. But after using it my hair and scalp do feel very clean and smooth. I suffer from allergic itching and this shampoo improves that. I did not feel like my hair is extra shinier when I use it. It is a good shampoo with a nice scent, but I have tried other less expensive ones just as good (or better) than this. Like it, but not love it.

Nice, but I'm not the target audience
I quite like this shampoo, but I suspect I'm not the target audience. I ordered it because I'm a fan of the brand but I couldn't really figure out what this stuff is *for*. The only indication was that it's designed to remove product buildup from the hair and scalp, which isn't usually an issue for men with fairly short hair. I use styling wax and Rogaine daily (the foam version that doesn't cause a dry, flaky scalp) and I've never struggled with clearing it out with a regular shampoo, but I decided to give this a try on the off chance that I'd be amazed. It's good, but I can't say I noticed any big changes. The shampoo doesn't lather as much as most. I'd say it lathers just a little more than most conditioners, but it takes a little work to work it into your hair. There's a nice scent and just a touch of menthol to make my scalp tingle. Personally I don't like menthol but I know some love that feeling, so there you go. All in all I think it's a perfectly fine shampoo. I'm sure I'll finish the bottle eventually, but I'll just use it alongside my regular shampoo whenever I happen to grab it without any expectations that it'll be any better than my regular stuff.

Better than I thought it would be
The only downside is I got the travel mini. I almost always get a travel or mini especially R+CO because I can actually afford it and it lasts awhile. I think this mini was the smallest they have...0.5 ounce. I'm guessing that's why they don't have the mini on their website anymore...no one was buying it. I wanted to try it and I'm glad I did. Make sure your hair is wet and that you add water as you work it into the hair. You'll get some suds, just be patient. It was the first time my hair felt extremely clean, no excess product or oil, no itchy scalp. Very gentle. I thought the scent was fine...but I've had it before in some of their other products. It dissipates pretty quickly. Of note, my hair is long to my waist, fine but a lot of it, making it thick. It's difficult to get soap out. I had NO trouble getting Submarine out. It was very easy, gentle, didn't strip my hair or my dye-job. Left it feeling very soft and manageable.

Cleans well
I wash my hair every 2-3 days, using dry shampoo between washes. I get some product build up by wash day, so I really like using this weekly. It really does get my scalp super clean feeling. My only complaint is that it doesn’t lather and is super thick. I’ve tried adding drops of water to it (says water activated?). I probably use too much of it, but I feel like I need to in order to get it over my whole scalp.

Premium Product and Premium Results
Admittedly, I have never used a product such as this. I have been more of a standard shampoo kind of guy and I have a lot of flakes in my hair because of that. This shampoo is to be used as a deep cleaner to really penetrate the scalp and remove a lot of buildup and to exfoliate. This product does a good job at that and its to be only used once or twice a month, which is plenty for me. Yes it’s a tad expensive, but if you don’t use it every day, it will last. Goes on easily and the scent is pleasant. Recommend.

Exfoliating shampoo
I liked using this shampoo, it did leave my scalp feeling clean. The scent is pretty strong, but it's not quite as strong as the dry shampoo is. It does lather up nicely once you add some extra water to it.

Pricy but works well
I use AHAs in my skincare routine and it has greatly helped reduce my oily skin. When I saw that this also contains AHAs, I decided to try to see if would help reduce my oily scalp that occasionally gets bouts of acne as well. It says to use as once a week shampoo but with my long hair, this would only last a couple treatments. Instead I used this as a scalp treatment. I applied this to my scalp and let it sit on there as I complete my other bath time routine. As it sits on my scalp the shampoo tingles and smells really refreshing. After I followed up with regular shampoo on the rest of my hair. I've used this a few weeks now and I noticed that my scalp does seem to be less oily and haven't had any cases of acne as well. Overall I think this is a great product but the price seems a bit steep for not very many treatments. That being said I haven't had a product work as well as this so... Minty and refreshing
If you like the idea of a scalp scrub, but hate the leftover beads no matter how much you rinse, give this a try. I have a patch of seborrheic dermatitis that I have been trying to deal with, but otherwise my scalp is mostly normal. I also have colored hair and I try to keep the color as long as possible. I really like that this shampoo starts out as a thick paste, I rubbed it all over my scalp and used my fingertips and scalp brush. The paste makes it easy to put it exactly where you need it without it running all over the place. When you add water, it starts getting foamy. The shampoo smells really good, like a ripe banana and mint/menthol. It is a very tingly and pleasant sensation on my scalp. The shampoo rinses out easily and doesn't strip my hair of oil or color. It also didn't bother my scalp and the mint helped the itching.

Works great
I love a good clarifying shampoo, and having loved a lot of the products I have tried previously from R+Co, I figured it would be worth giving this water activated clarifying shampoo a try. So far, I’m quite liking it! Though I will say there is a slight learning curve. You want to massage it into wet hair, at which time it will be more like a cream and less like a lathering shampoo. But then you want to add just a splash of water and massage again. Repeat 2 or 3 times until it gets nice and foamy. Then rinse. It definitely helps to use this every week or two, or even once a month depending on your preferences and what your hair is like. I can definitely tell a difference after I wash with this, especially if I was starting to get product build up. Overall I would recommend it!

Leaves hair squeeky clean.
I really love this cleansing product. My hair has always been thinner and oily scalped, and Summer perspiration often requires me to shampoo in the morning and night. This product scrubs right into the scalp, exfoliates and frankly just feels so good shampooing. Afterwards, your scalp and hair practically squeeks. Follow it with a conditioner otherwise it will be too tangled and tear.

Too expensive, very small！！
The packaging is a plastic tube, only 3oz, the price is 36 dollars, as a shampoo, a bit expensive! So when I saw this for the first time, I was very interested. All R+Co products have a travel theme tag. This has nothing to do with its performance, I personally like this scent. It should be noted that if you are sensitive to fragrance or try to avoid it, it will be a bit strong! I use it once or twice a week instead of shampoo, as a deep cleansing of the scalp, squeeze the shampoo into the palm of my hand to activate it, and then massage the scalp with water as needed. Comb your hair and rinse it off, then use conditioner, be sure to use conditioner, because after washing it is very refreshing and a bit dry! If you have oily hair, I would recommend it!

Use once a week
3 ounce plastic squeeze tube of enzyme exfoliating shampoo. The shampoo is lightly and pleasantly scented and comes out of the tube as a thick'ish pearly paste. Recommended use is dry application (in the shower) as you first work it into the scalp as slowly add water to the skin/hair to build up the shampoo. When does this way the lather is decent once your hair is fully moistened. Results are good and provides a nice, cleansed sensation from scalp through strands. Recommended use is once per week.

Works Well, Insanely Overpriced
I really went back and forth in my mind about what to rate this because I just cannot get over how this small tube of shampoo has such an absurdly high price point. That said, it does work. It lathers surprisingly well. The fragrance is light and pleasant. Most importantly, I've been dealing with an itchy, oily scalp for quite some time, and until now, nothing that I've tried has helped. This product actually cleansed my scalp and greatly decreased the itch factor. As a matter of fact, it's been almost a week since I last used this, and my scalp is only just now beginning to itch a little again. It's also good when it comes to really cleansing my hair without leaving it feeling like straw. That said, it does dry the hair to a certain extent, so it is absolutely necessary to use a good conditioner after shampooing. So this product is effective. If the price doesn't bother you, then I'd absolutely recommend giving this a try.

Expensive.
When it comes to R+Co R+Co SUBMARINE Water Activated Enzyme Exfoliating Shampoo Deluxe Sample, 0.5 fl. oz., I am torn.... Does it clean hair well? In my opinion, yes. Do you need a lot? No - small amount goes a long way. Do you need to use it every time you wash your hair? Again, no - recommended use is once per week... And then we hit a wrinkle...is it expensive...? Well....VERY. Price is...$36 for 0-.5 fl. oz... Even if it is concentrated, price is very high - at least for me. If you want to try it, go ahead - then you can make your own experience based opinion.

Just OK with my hair
This is a very, very small sample. Additionally, it takes more shampoo than other brands to get a good lather. It did clean my hair but not as completely as other brands. I have fine hair and a lot of it. I'm going to finish the sample quickly and order a brand that worked for me.

The shampoo smells good. It feels like a jelly of some kind, and it lathers pretty well. it does not help with dandruff, it even seem to increase the dandruff when I was using it. Maybe this is what they meant by "exfoliation", I do not know. It seems to clean my hair well, though
