I received this product today and haven’t used it yet! I will update my review after using it, but my initial impression for how excited I was about this product is a bit more disappointing. One of the reasons I chose this product is because I looked at the ingredients list on this product page and nothing really stood out to me (in terms of ingredients that I’m actively trying to avoid). I receive it and looking at the pretty box that it comes in, I find out that it in fact has Disodium EDTA in it, which is not listed on the product page and is an ingredient that I was trying to avoid. It’s not worth the hassle of going through the return process—not the end of the world. I read the back of the box that says it contains AHA which makes your skin more sensitive to sunlight.. great, I’ll just apply sunscreen before going out.. although I thought it was weird that it said to limit sun exposure for up to a week after using it?? Basically wants us to live as vampires. Whatever, not a deal breaker. I look at the bottom of the box and see that what I’m assuming is the manufactured date is back in 2024.. nearly 2 years ago. So idk if it’s because it’s from Amazon, but this product does not seem to be fresh at all. Again, not a deal breaker since I’ll definitely use it before the expiration date, but all of these little things accumulate to an impression and experience that’s not the best. I guess we’ll see how my rating changes after I use it…

I’ve tried a lot of moisturizers over the years, and this Centella Soothing Cream has quickly become one of my favorite calming skincare products. The texture is lightweight and gel-like, and it absorbs into my skin very quickly without feeling greasy or sticky. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed and comfortable, and it’s especially nice when my skin is irritated, sensitive, or looking a little red. What I love most is how soothing it is. Whenever my skin feels stressed or reactive, this cream helps calm it down and makes my complexion look more balanced. It also layers beautifully under sunscreen and makeup without pilling. That said, I don’t find it quite moisturizing enough on its own. While it provides good hydration, my skin needs a little more moisture to stay comfortable throughout the day. I’ve had the best results pairing it with the SKIN1004 Hyalu-Cica Cloudy Mist (the 304 spray moisturizer), and together they make a fantastic combination. It’s very tacky if you accidentally apply too much. I have oily, sensitive, acne prone skin and this didn’t break me out but I personally couldn’t deal with the stickiness it leaves. Even applying a minimal amount still leaves some stickiness so I wouldn’t recommend if you’re someone like me who can’t deal with the texture of it. Works great for sensitive skin
I love that brand and that cream in particular. I have sensitive and prone to breakouts skin and applying this in the evening works great for me. I feel my skin softer and my pimples less red and irritated. I think if you are more dehydrated you absorb it quite quickly (it was like that in the beginning for me) but I also started drinking more water. I like the whole Madagascar series and it works great for me.
I actually use this product everyday as a moisturizer instead of as a mask. I have oily skin and gravitate towards water/gel moisturizers and this one is perfect, it’s a tad heavy but it absorbs nicely and doesn’t need a lot to feel moisturized. This brand in general is so so good for any skin but especially acne prone. I recommend anything from this brand but this product in specific (as well as the oil cleanser) work amazing.

I am not a doctor! But for 49 years self help nutrition has been my hobby. A company I respect introduced a new face cream with Trehalose. They said there was good evidence that Trehalose helped cell regeneration and protected mitochondria. It was a bit pricey for me, but on Amazon I found two other creams with Trehalose in the last half of the ingredient list. I used them for several years and liked them. Nothing is going to make fine lines and wrinkles vanish (except maybe surgery) but it seemed to me that there were no new lines or wrinkles. Then Amazon stopped carrying those creams. I searched and found Centella. Trehalose is the 9th ingredient (in the top 10%) on the ingredient list. I ordered and have used it for about 6 months. As I said, I am NOT a doctor. I can't prove this. But for years on every annual visit to my dermatologist I have had multiple seborrheic keratosis frozen off my nose. Once I had a pre cancerous spot removed. This year there was nothing abnormal. Nothing to freeze. Nothing to remove. Was it the high-Trehalose Centella? I don't know. But it seems to me it would be a good thing for a study.

Skin barrier demolished? This is the answer.
I wish I could give this 100 stars! I’m 43 and about 1 1/2 years ago, I noticed some skin changes. My makeup wasn’t sitting well on face, it was separating, my face was dryer (always had dry skin) and just had a general dullness to it. So I did what everyone does and went straight to YouTube to learn how to make my makeup look better. One of the first things this video suggested was I needed to exfoliate. I had never really been into skincare, apart from using moisturizer every day, so I was very ignorant. The only kind of exfoliation I knew of were either the abrasive pads, or the scrubs. I chose the former. I also went and bought a bunch of skincare products, including a chemical exfoliant (didn’t know at the time that’s what it was lol). If there’s one thing about me, when I get an interest in anything, I go balls to the wall on it, do all the things, even with little information. For the next several months, I proceeded to scrub my face with the most abrasive pad I can find, followed that with putting stuff like lactic acid AND retinol on in the same routine, and basically put anything I could find on my face. I did everything I wasn’t supposed to do. By the time I knew better, my skin barrier was ruined. I think I actually aged myself. Instead of getting rid of my hyperpigmentation, which was one of goals, I multiplied them. I’m telling this story because I need y’all to understand how wrecked my skin was. I actually did some research and realized my face needed a BREAK. For months I could do nothing but cleanse and moisturize, and my barrier was still terrible, my makeup was still separating, and I was beginning to think it was never going to heal. I was watching a skincare video one night and they were talking about this brand and how it heals the barrier. I figured I would try it because at that point, I don’t think anything could’ve made it worse. I put it on one night, and I’m not exaggerating, literally within 2 days of use, it was like I hadn’t been abusing my skin at all. My makeup went on smoothly, and stayed that way all day. It was like magic. I can’t guarantee this was the reason, but I have my suspicions that it was. Fast forward 8 months and a small fortune worth of skincare products later, and this is one of the only things I’ve bought consistently, although I think I’ve found more along the way. But this will always be a staple. Moral of the story, your face is the first thing people see. Don’t ruin by not researching products before using them, especially together. Do what I’ve done (but BEFORE you start) and learn what each ingredient does and what not to use in the same routine. And lastly, if you did what I did, and didn’t learn before you started, and your barrier has basically divorced you, this might just be what you need to win it back.

I wish I could give this 10 stars. I have combo skin, in my 50's with Lupus. This review is for the NIGHT CREAM. This helps my lupus rash calm down even better than just the ampule. My skin looks and feels plump. It is amazing. No braking out. It is heavier then a gel cream but less heavy feeling on the skin than a traditional night cream. I love it.
