Loved the Green Version—The New Blue One Is Just as Amazing
Updated! I’ve previously used the green version of this cleansing balm and loved it, so I was excited to try the new sky blue version—and it did not disappoint. The performance is just as great as before, with the same smooth, melting texture that effortlessly removes makeup and impurities without irritating the skin. On top of that, the packaging is absolutely beautiful and feels very premium. It cleans thoroughly while leaving my skin soft, refreshed, and never dry. If you enjoyed the original version, this new one is a must-try. Highly recommend! (Previous one!) This grinding-type product is seriously a game-changer. It's probably the best among all the beauty products I've tried! It's not just hygienic, but adjusting the amount is a breeze! Plus, Dr. Althea's cleansing products, which I trust, speak for themselves in terms of effectiveness. It melts away like sorbet – so gentle! Haha. Definitely recommend giving it a try. I usually used oil-based products, but after trying this, I think I'm sticking with it from now on!

Great cleansing balm
Great at removing all types of makeup, including heavy eyeliner and waterproof mascara. Hydrating and soothing, the packaging also makes it easy to use & mess free. Doesn’t make my eyes cloudy either!

good, but will only last a couple months
listen, i LOVE THIS. but it didn’t last me as long as i wanted ㅠ. was wonderful at removing makeup and cleansing. no scent at all, sturdy packaging, and to me very hygienic the way it twists out rather than having to dip in the product. i just wish it had more product for the price tag!

10/10
This melts makeup right off, most of my eye makeup comes off except waterproof mascara. I think I've repurchased 3-4 times now. Its enough to gently cleanse and not strip my dry skin of moisture. I don't double cleanse when I use this, I really don't need to it gets everything off. The packaging is amazing with my long nails too I love this grinding feature so much!

Works nicely
This cleanser works great. It removes all your makeup without needing other products. It also doesn’t strip skin’s natural oils. I didn’t smell much of a scent which is great for people with sensitive skin. The container is also very strong so it won’t break if you drop it, but if you don’t want something to take up two much space this might be a problem. Another thing is if you’re hoping your skin softness will be better after cleansing it may be it just wasn’t for me. Overall the product was pretty decent for its price and i would probably buy it again.

Worth the hype
Finally! A product that lives up to its glowing reviews. I’ve used different balm brands to remove water resistant makeup and this one’s the best so far. Farmacy’s cleansing balm was my go-to for awhile, but it’s pricey and I went through each jar too quickly (and I only wear makeup a couple times a week). With Dr. Althea, a little goes a long way (though not as little as the photos advertise) and my face feels clean, smooth and hydrated. Would definitely buy again.

Best balm ever
Best cleansing balm ever, it actually takes off all my makeup even the waterproof ones. A little goes a long way so it lasts a while. It doesn’t irritate my eyes or skin and I have very sensitive skin. It also doesn’t dry me out. Very good for the price!!

The best 1000/10
The absolute best cleansing balm ever. Super high quality, does not break me out. Very easy to deal with, not messy at all. Lightweight, gets all makeup off in one swipe without any burning sensation. Very gentle on the eyes, very moisturizing and leaves the skin hydrated and feeling fresh. Lasts for a long time so totally worth the price. Acne safe ingredients as well! 1000/10

Cleans good enough Good value for the price
I’ve been using the Dr. Althea Pure Grinding Cleansing Balm for few month and finished one jar, and overall, it’s fine- but not the best I’ve tried. The balm has a smooth texture that melts down easily when applied, and it does a decent job of removing makeup and sunscreen. My skin feels clean afterward, and it doesn't leave behind a greasy residue, which is a plus. However, it doesn’t quite deliver that deep, luxurious cleanse you might expect from a high-end cleansing balm. Good value fro the price

Works as well as more expensive brands
I love this product. I used Elemis for several years but on recommendation from an influencer I tried Dr. Althea. I feel like it works just as well as Elemis and the cost is definitely more wallet friendly. I would absolutely recommend this product.

My daughter loves it so much. This is my second order already. The scent isn't too strong, and it removes makeup well. I wish they would release a larger size. I highly recommend it.

Intriguing distribution AND great product!
Had seen great reviews, so decided to give this a try. Intrigued by the distribution system (still intrigued). My skin feels clean and refreshed after use. I rarely reorder skin care products as I find most lacking (or they immediately break me out), but I’m on my 2nd order of this!

Great product, bad packaging
Love the product, hate the packaging. This cleansing balm is light and works well at removing makeup. I love the idea of the packaging. But it’s just not sustainable. You only get 50mls of product. And once the product gets low, turning the top doesn’t dispense more product. But after breaking the top off, there is plenty of product left in the container. I feel like this packaging should be refillable. Otherwise it’s a waste of plastic. And the value for the amount of product is not great.

Nope. No. Absolutely not.
I mean, it EVENTUALLY gets your makeup off after you rub and scrub for 20 minutes, but this stuff has caused SUCH an intense breakout on the skin around my eyes. (And yes, its definitely this stuff doing it - I only wear colored eyeliner[s] and mascara, and I havent changed my brand of mascara or eyeliner in almost a year now, this cleansing balm was the ONLY change I made and I ONLY used it around my eyes) I am VERY unhappy, but there was no way that I was going to try and return it for someone else to get screwed with, so I just used it til it was gone, which didnt take long due to the ungodly amount you have to use ONLY to get off waterproof eyeliner and mascara. ELF cleansing balm pot lasted me 3 months. Pyunkang Yul lasted me almost FOUR. This stuff barely made it over a SINGLE MONTH. AND its caused a breakout? Nope. No. Absolutely NOT.

SPINNING MECHANISM DOES NOT WORK
A day after I received this, the twisting mechanism broke and I haven’t been able to use any of the product since. Don’t waste your money because if yours is faulty which it most likely will be, they don’t refund for a broken item and you won’t be able to get any product out. I do not have the time to go out of my way and return an item that was broken and supposed to work in the FIRST place.

ingenious dispensing system ⭐️
LOVE this dispensing system for a cleansing balm. i hate sticking my fingers in a pot and the liquid ones are kinda messy. i only use it to remove spf/skin tint/blush so i’m able to use a small amount that spreads very nicely on the face. it has lasted me a few months so far and i predict i still have plenty left. my only gripe is i wish there was a way to see when you’re close to running out so you know when to repurchase. regardless, this is a 5 five star product!
