Bottom line it works for me but it's not perfect
I tried to find a thorough review of this product before purchasing and I really didn't find much so I'm going to attempt to write the review I would have liked to see before purchasing. If you're looking for the short version I was looking for a quick and easy product for every day use that would make my beard more manageable and this besides some minor problems does fit the bill. With that said onto the slightly longer review. My main question about this product before buying really was very simple "What the hell is it?" Well now after using it for a few days I can tell you it's a viscous liquid that as one person put "is Reuzels attempt at making a water based beard oil" I would more say it's their attempt at making a water based more convenient balm though. The products hold I would best describe as light. It's not going to do a ton in the way of styling like a wax or heavier balm would but it does keep your hairs separated and does have some hold. They recommend using it in conjunction with their balm but to me that would defeat the purpose of convenience I wanted a product that even if I was running late for work I could grab slap on and be good to go with little to no thought. The product comes out in a semi light half foam it's not nearly as light as foaming hand soap and it's not as heavy as a mousse. It's slightly sticky to the touch and goes on kind of white but quickly becomes absorbed into the skin and is clear. My next question about this product before buying it was "what does it smell like?" Well that's one of the cons of this product as far as I'm concerned though it is minor. It smells like what my grandma use to smell like. I understand nobody reading this has ever smelled my grandmother so the next closest thing it smells like that you may have been around is a laundromat. They are correct that that does smell "clean" but it's not exactly a smell I associate with being very pleasant. One reviewer said they thought it smelled of patchouli it absolutely does not it smells of cheap fabric softener. Third and most important question was the obvious does it work? It does work for what I wanted to use it for. It's very quick to apply, it does soften your beard, I like the idea of a pump action bottle as opposed to trying to dab out oil or get balm under my nails or properly dose out the proper amount when I'm in a hurry. It also isn't heavy like an oil or balm it's very light and absorbs fast. If you need extra hold I do recommend using a balm with it or a wax but this does have some hold and it keeps your hairs separated as opposed to pushed together making it easier to comb or brush out later in the day if you need to. The last thing I'd like to touch on is I do have semi sensitive skin and this product thus far does appear to irritate my skin a bit at first; I will edit my review later if it gets worse. I believe looking at the ingredients this is most likely a sensitivity to the fragrance coupled with the fact I'm not a fan of the scent I wish they would make a completely non scented version of this and I would consider this a 5 star product. It may also be the witch hazel slightly drying out my skin though. Again I'll update this review later should this problem worsen but I consider this minor at the moment and otherwise this is a solid product I would buy again.

A few months ago my barber turned me on to this product and I am so glad he did. I have been using a wide range of beard products over the year and have tried some fantastic ones and some absolutely terrible ones. The Reuzel Beard Foam is hands down one of the best I have ever used. It is rare for me to buy a product multiple times but I am now on my third bottle. The ease of use was the first aspect that I enjoyed as it was quick and clean. Applying this to my beard every morning has left my beard softer and feeling cleaner than ever before. It produces a gorgeous shine without leaving it greasy like many beard oils do. The softness lasts all day and the light scent I get is not overpowering like it here products I have tried. I highly recommend this product to anyone with a beard. I shall continue to use this product every day.

A lot of mixed reviews on here but I love this stuff. I use this most days, especially when I don’t want to do all my beard butter and oils. It works great and keeps my beard manageable. The scent isn’t bad at all and mixes well with other products. Its supposed to foam which helps gets it in deep and it absorbs nicely. I put it on right after the shower when beard is still slightly moist. If you have a short beard use about 1/2 pump. Medium 1-1/2 pumps and long 2 pumps only. I usually brush it in after. The other scent works great as well but this one mixes the best with other products in my opinion. I have bought this 6 times and will keep on buying.

Good Product Weird Smell
Love the product as it soaks into bears and skin quite quickly. Within minutes I notice that my beard is much softer and feels great. One big negative for me is the smell of the product. It truly reminds me of the pink urinal cakes in public restrooms. Luckily the scent does not stay around for too long. Really wish it had a fresher scent or none at all.

I have included a complete ingredients list at the end of my review for anyone interested. I'm a big fan of Reuzel and I use several of their products everyday. The Beard Foam (and the Beard Balm) are the first Reuzel products I have ever been disappointed with. The directions on the label instruct to apply this product to a clean, towel dried beard (I normally use beard oil in this manner). The problem is that this product contains no natural oils, only a bunch of unnecessary chemicals. The only up side is that it also contains Reuzel's T-4 Tonic Blend which is beneficial. But your beard needs more than just that. It needs natural oils and conditioners, not all the chemicals. I prefer the results I get with all natural products. My beard is softer, healthier and more manageable when using my regular products. My regular routine consists of a quality beard oil right out of the shower, massaging it into the skin and brushing it through the hair with a boar bristle brush. I let the oil absorb while I tend to other things. A few minutes later I apply a beard balm that contains Shea Butter, Mango Seed Butter, Lanolin, Apricot Kernel Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Beeswax, and Cocoa Seed Butter. Then at the end I apply a little beard wax to provide the hold. This gives me a soft, healthy, manageable beard without any chemicals and no long term hair damage. The results of my routine are far superior to the Reuzel Beard Foam & Beard Balm combo. Okay, the scent... I know full well that smells are subjective, but... this Beard Foam STINKS!! At first it smells like soap, --so far so good-- BUT then it goes through a bad breath stage, which progresses into to a plastic/rubbery smell, then it finally settles into a powdery scent, similar to the Beard Balm. This powdery scent then lingers on, and on, and on, and on... I personally HATE powdery smells, so if you're like me avoid the Beard Foam (and the Beard Balm, it's even worse). However, if you're one of those weirdos that actually wants to smell like a big 'ol powder puff, well... you're going to love it. Speaking to the 'deodorizing' properties, I suppose if you just finished eating your girlfriend's second-hand tuna sandwich the Beard Foam may provide a slight improvement to your beard's smell. But come on man, just wash it already... Best Beard Product on the Market!
This product has changed my life. Or at least my beard. My beard is way curly. If I run two shots of this through it and hit it with a cool hairy dryer with a comb attachment, my beard straightens out to triple the length. I don't know how long this will last, but I can say that it's at least 24 hours. This keeps my beard tamed and soft until my next shower, no matter what the day brings. If I get a little wild and my beard scatters, I can just run my hands down it to put it back in its place. I'd probably shave if they stopped making this stuff. Keep it coming, fellas.

Delightfully different
First time using a beard foam of any type. My barber used a little on my heard some time back, so I decided to give it a shot... Liquid in the bottle, comes out as a foam. The initial take on the scent was stank, stale, funky old beard oil. I almost didn't use it after I emulsified it in my hands. It smelled pretty bad. Tried it anyway. It almost lathers into my beard. I felt like it was difficult to get even coverage, but moving on. Initial feel was like very watered down elmers glue. It was kind of sticky. Washed off my hands easily. Dragged a comb through it with no problem to distribute the product. Still smelled bad. Gave it a few minutes to dry, and the stank smell seemed to dissipate. The scent is wood and spice. Not sure that I'd call it that, but once the sweaty foot part went away, it was a decent scent. With no other product in my beard, it did not make my face itch. It provided some light hold. Made my beard a little more "full" than my usual oil and butter routine. Not sure that it'll be a daily product for me, but it's got a place in my beard care. Maybe the product is old(er) which might explain the funky initial smell. I ordered this other scent, the original scent to see if it's any better.

Great grooming addition - just avoid your lips
I like that it doesn't leave my beard or skin under it looking oily like happens when I use the beard oils. Two pumps slathered in my hands, and my beard is good to go. This stuff actually goes a long way - even though it's foamy. My only complaint (similar to another I read here) - if I'm not careful putting int on my mustache, when I drink my morning coffee, the potential residue close to my lips tastes HORRIBLE! Not removing a star though. I just clench my lips tight when going over my mustache so it doesn't get on them, problem solved!

achieves control through tangling
goes in slimy, dries kinda fast. makes the beard feel softer, tangles/snarls your beard though. I cant comment on this as a solution to beard funk or beardruff, Ive never had them. if you think it smells like puke you may be drunk.. or you've been eating some very strange things. this smells earthy and spiced (like the balm). either way (and speaking of), Ill stick with said balm.
