Like Velvet
I'm quickly becoming a SKIN1004 devotee. I purchased the Probio-Cica Intensive Ampoule to serve as my night serum after using retinoid serums for the better part of a decade (most recently: retinaldehyde) that had left my skin barrier compromised. For reference, my skin type is combination leaning towards dry. My cheeks, temples, area around my lips, jawline, throat, and décolleté are quite dry due to aging (I'm somewhere...in my 40s). My T-zone, nose, and chin do become oily, but are in need of a good dose of moisture and hydration after washing, which is necessary for my facial skin twice a day, to prevent dryness and irritation. I have fine lines in the usual areas and am not vain enough to undergo any cosmetic procedures, preferring to age naturally - which also allows me to better evaluate the anti-aging properties of skincare products. This ampoule is advertised on the SKIN1004 website and the product packaging (although not Amazon, oddly) as an anti-aging, intensely hydrating serum that promotes the health of the skin barrier, reduces the appearance of dark spots, balances oil, and soothes acne. The serum is a white liquid with the viscosity of cream. The serum coats the surface of the skin before absorbing into it, leaving behind a soft, velvety feel. The serum comes packaged in an opaque, elegant brown bottle of a generous 1.69 oz. with a long, angled dropper that reaches to nearly the bottom of the bottle to ensure nearly all of the serum can be accessed. The collar of the bottle has a feature that narrows around the pipette and "slurps" away the excess serum as it is inserted or removed from the bottle to prevent precious drops from being lost. To use the ampoule, I apply just four drops of it to my freshly washed, slightly damp face, throat, and décolleté before any other skincare products. Then, I wait a minute or so for it to absorb. It leaves behind a luxuriously velvety, non-sticky finish when fully absorbed. Then, I move on to the remaining steps in my simple nightly skincare routine, usually a nourishing moisturizer and, if necessary, an ointment or petroleum jelly if my skin is on the drier side. When I wake up in the morning, my skin is calm, withoit irritation and feels well-hydrated. I've noticed some improvement in my fine lines that weren't apparent prior to using this ampoule, even with long-term retinoid use. My pores are clear and small. If any bumps (not pimples - I rarely get those anymore) developed on my skin the day before, they literally disappear overnight. This ampoule is nearly a miracle worker, and I'm replacing my previous multiple serum routine witb this single ampoule. Since this ampoule is so hydrating and cloaking, I would advise against its use for folx with oily and acnegenic skin. SKIN1004 has some other ampoules that might be more appropriate for pore minimizing and skin calming needs. Also, use this product sparingly (start with 3-4 drops and ad a drop more at a time as needed) and on damp skin for best absorption - and to save your hard-earned cash. I love this ampoule! Edit, May 2024: I'm updating this review after adding retinol back into my routine for the past few months after some hyperpigmentation returned. This ampoule is excellent as a moisturizing serum to sandwich beneath a retinoid as the first step to protect and nurture the skin from potential irritation. I then layer a thick moisturizer over the retinol. Since doing this, I've had no issues with the retinol at all. I'll be upgrading to adapalene soon, keeping the ampoule as my first step.

Amazing for redness and sensitive skin ✨
I absolutely love this serum. The texture feels silky, lightweight, and very calming on the skin. I have sensitive skin with redness, and this serum noticeably helps soothe and reduce irritation. It works even better when I layer it with another hydrating serum — my skin looks healthier, calmer, and more even-toned the next morning. It gives great hydration without feeling greasy or heavy, and it leaves the skin looking smooth and glowy. Definitely one of my favorite Korean skincare products.

Skin barrier repair
Very nice product, rosacea friendly for me. I use it in combination with the skin1004 azelaic acid and the inuik beta glucan serums . I use it almost daily and it has saved my skin barrier and helps with the irritation. My skin is glowing and is way more hydrated. Used to have dry flaking skin straight after the shower. Now I can dry and style my hair first without having to worry about my skin. What I'm trying to say is this product helped on a deeper level and is giving long term results.

Love this
As a licensed esthetician, the SKIN1004 Probio-Cica Intensive Ampoule is one of the few products I consistently keep in my personal routine and recommend to my clients over and over again. This ampoule is incredibly versatile and works well for a wide range of skin concerns, including sensitivity, dehydration, redness, a compromised skin barrier, irritation, and post-treatment recovery. The combination of Centella Asiatica and probiotic ingredients helps calm inflammation while supporting overall skin health and resilience. What I love most is that it provides deep hydration without feeling heavy or greasy. It layers beautifully with other skincare products and leaves the skin feeling soft, soothed, and nourished. I've recommended it to clients with sensitive skin, acne-prone skin, rosacea-prone skin, and even those recovering from more aggressive treatments, and the feedback is always overwhelmingly positive. Personally, it's one of those products I never want to be without. Whenever my skin feels irritated, dry, or just "off," this is the product I reach for first. It consistently helps restore balance and gives my skin a healthier, calmer appearance. If you're looking for a product that strengthens the skin barrier while providing hydration and soothing benefits, this ampoule is absolutely worth trying. It's earned a permanent spot in both my professional recommendations and my personal skincare routine.

Thickkk
I really like this ampoule. It keeps my face well moisturized and works great for my dehydrated skin. Even though the texture is a bit thicker than other ampoules I’ve tried, it still absorbs nicely and doesn’t feel heavy. My skin feels smoother, calmer, and more hydrated when I use it regularly. The only downside for me is the application. The design could be a little better to make it easier to use, but overall it’s still a great product. 😊

Calming, Hydrating, and Perfect for Sensitive Skin
I absolutely love this ampoule. My skin can be sensitive at times, and this product leaves it feeling calm, hydrated, and incredibly soft. The texture is lightweight, absorbs quickly, and doesn’t feel sticky or heavy. I’ve noticed that my skin looks healthier, more balanced, and less stressed after consistent use. It layers beautifully with the rest of my skincare routine and provides lasting hydration throughout the day. The large bottle is also a great value for the price. If you have sensitive, dry, or irritated skin and are looking for a soothing and nourishing serum, I highly recommend giving this one a try. I will definitely repurchase it.

Exceptional!
I was skeptical as I’ve tried similar products that sound wonderful and are highly rated but fall short: irritating my skin or eyes and just not doing what they promise. I’ve just started this and so far it’s exactly as it’s stated and reviewed! Lightweight, absorbs quickly, pleasantly scented, affordably priced with a reasonable amount of product. The ingredients are phenomenal. Overall, an exceptional product in the flooded skin care products market.

Centella and Ceramides Blend
I tried the specific Skin1004 line when I bought the set at Costco. I have sensitive and rosacea skin that’s very reactive. My skin loves Centella, ceramides, and great hydrations like Panthenol. I also layer this with illiyoon toner which I feel has a better hydration and barrier complex than the skin1004 Probio Cica toner. A staple as my prep for my actives (retinol & Azaleic acid) and works well with my Sente dermal repair cream.

Hydrating, soothing, and gives a beautiful glow😍😍
I’ve been really impressed with this ampoule. The texture is lightweight, absorbs quickly, and leaves my skin feeling soft, hydrated, and comfortable without any sticky residue. After a few days of use, my skin looked calmer and less irritated, especially in dry areas. I love that it contains Centella and ceramides, which help support the skin barrier while providing lasting moisture. One thing I especially noticed is the healthy, natural glow it gives my skin. It leaves a beautiful radiant finish that makes my complexion look fresh and healthy without feeling greasy. It also works wonderfully under makeup. My foundation applies more smoothly, and my skin looks hydrated and luminous throughout the day. The bottle feels premium, a little product goes a long way, and it has no overwhelming fragrance. If you’re looking for a soothing serum that helps with hydration and skin barrier support, this is definitely worth trying. Highly recommended!

Mustt buy if you have irritated skin
Do not waste if you have irritated skin and tiny bumps on your skin and immediately buy it. A friend of mine recommended this, and I thought of giving it a try as my skin was feeling very irritated and right after first application overnight my skin felt so good so smooth and so significant reduction in bumps. Trust me when I say this and I’m not exaggerating at all. This product is amazing for reference. I have dry skin and my skin barrier gets compromised pretty quickly and this product is a savior. I have also seen a significant amount of reduction in my acne marks, which is a win-win.

Fixed my skin
Skin was struggling from accidentally using another active too soon after starting tretinoin. This serum totally calmed my skin barrier down and replenished moisture so well. It worked within one application!!!! So now I put it on before my tretinoin and after and my skin is doing great!!! Will keep buying because this gives my skin great hydration without feeling greasy and on the rare occasion that a product works as well as this does for my skin, I keep buying it

A Must-Try for Sensitive Skin!
I've been on the hunt for a good face serum that actually helps my skin, especially with all the dry patches I get, and this SKIN1004 Probio Cica Intensive Ampoule has been a really nice surprise. It's a Korean facial ampoule with Centella and Ceramide, and it's supposed to be good for hydration and making your skin stronger. I'm always a little skeptical about new products, but I figured it was worth a shot. I've been using this for about four months now, and I can honestly say it's been good. My skin feels much more hydrated, and I haven't had any of those irritating dry spots pop up. It absorbs pretty quickly, which is great because I don't have a ton of time for a complicated routine with three kids running around. The biggest pro for me is that it actually works without causing any breakouts or irritation, which is a big deal since my skin can be really sensitive. I honestly haven't found any cons with it so far. Overall, I'm really happy with this ampoule. It's been a consistent part of my routine, and my skin definitely looks and feels better. If you're looking for a gentle, hydrating serum that can help with sensitive or dry skin, I'd definitely recommend giving this one a try. It feels like a good investment for my skin.

Really reduces redness
This really reduces the redness in my skin while keeping it soft and smooth. Not greasy at all, and not drying, either. Just the perfect amount of moisture. This is all I use on my skin now except for an eye cream. Highly recommend if you have redness or rosacea.

Love this stuff , very healing
I discovered This on a cyber deal while looking into some intense healing got my skin. I have Always been into skincare but lately I’ve been a little obsessed and using chemical exfoliants which can be a tad irritating. Plus I have Some redness around my nose I’m trying to heal up. This is a very large bottle of ampoule . It’s nice and thick but not too thick to the point where it won’t absorb or won’t budge . It seems to really help my irritation. I don’t smell any scent . And my skin seems to like it and find it compatible. It really seems effective at helping to heal my skin with some other products. I also Use Asian active rx mask , usually as a spot treatment for those areas. And Anua heartleaf 77 soothing toner and Anua heartleaf 70+ ceramide calming cream , just in those spots . But this is the first and most important , with cica , which is a favorite of mine . It’s easy to use . And it leaves me with a nice glow . I really feel it’s been super nourishing for my face , and though it was a little more than I’d usually spend , it was well worth it since a little Goes a long way and this is a very nice size.

Smooth, pleasant and without a fragrance.
This is my second bottle! It didn't take long for the effects of this ampoule to make a noticeable difference to my skin texture. On the plus side, it doesn't have a fragrance and it is very suitable for sensitive skin. Just be careful though. If you are sensitive to niacinamide then patch test before use!

Great product
The product does what it says. Leaves my skin smooth, nourished and helps calm it down. My skin can become irritated quickly and easily so I look for products that help these issues and aren't overly heavy. This helps minimize irritation and I think as I use it more and more it's helping to prevent some irritation too.

Hydrating and nourishing
My face is prone to dehydration I have to continuously exist in air conditioner and also low humidity weather my face get tight and it feels uncomfortable. This helps in my routine, I combine it with a good moisturizer and I do not need anything else to not feel my face tight by 2pm in the office. I have purchased this product three times now, and I will keep repurchasing, definitely a fav!

Amazing! Combo-dry skin w/ rosacea
This serum is milky and soothing, aswell as hydrating but still so lightweight!! I have combo-dry skin but products that are too thick or heavy, including most barrier creams are way too thick or heavy. This is super nourishing but still lightweight, I feel that even people with oily skin could benefit from this and love it!! There is no fragrance which I appreciate and I also suffer with rosacea and I’ve seen a significant change in my redness and flareups since starting to use it and it’s only been about a week. I’m very picky when it comes to skincare, and I’ve been weary of skin1004 because I had tried some of their other products and they’ve all irritated my skin, but I think this is going to be a repurchase for me.
