The Edwin Jagger stuff is excellent!! The soaps, creams, and lotions are soy based and totally FREE of all the carcinogenic crap and fillers that other manufacturers use. This stuff COMPLETELY absorbs into your skin with NO greasy residue or shine. I use it on my head and face. And the stuff smells GREAT. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
I've been using the Edwin Jagger Sandalwood aftershave moistuizer for a couple weeks and I like it. I use it only on the areas of my face that I shave, not as an overall facial moisturizer. It is a light moisturizer, not too thick or heavy. The scent is very subtle but nice. It doesn't smell like natural sandalwood oil but it's nice and earthy. I added a few drops of pure sandalwood essential oil to it, which makes it more of how I want it to smell. Overall, I like it and will most likely continue to use it. I'll see how well it helps keep my face moisturized during the WI winter.
Great stuff. Significantly better than the Gillete cooling gel, which actually burns like a Mother#$%@#&. The aftershave smells kind of like an old man, but in a good way. Only earns 4 out of 5 stars because the price is somewhat outrageous, other than that I strongly recommend this product.
So I was skeptical to buy this product because of some of the negative reviews but I must say this is an awesome product. I have very sensative skin, and any condition pretty much affects my skin. When I come out of the shower if I don't moisturize my face right away I will have really dry skin the rest of the day. I have used many aftershave lotions, spent lots of money on different ones. But this one works the best for me. Shaving is truly a pleasurable expeirence if you have the right tools. You really feel like a man when you can get that great shave. I am a wet shaver. I shave as soon as I get out of the shower, perfect when the face has been steamed and the pores are opened up. I apply a small amount of shaving oil to the face (to allow the blade to glide easily on the face and to moisturize the skin better). Then I apply warm shaving soap with a Badger Brush to massage the face. The aroma from the shaving soap, the warmth of the suds and the massage from the brush, there are very few things that feel better than this. Then I go to town with the razor. I like an extremely smooth face with no stubble when I glide my hand over my face in any direction. After I finish, I wash my face with cold water to close the pores and then I apply the aftershave. My face comes out very smooth, very mositurized, but not greasy. My girlfriend loves the smell, its a nice clean scent but not overpowering at all. The mositure lasts all day which is what I had trouble with when it comes to every other product Ive used. Is it expensive? No. I think of expensive when I feel a product is not worth what you pay for it. This stuff has been a game changer. I am supper confident after I shave and apply this aftershave. I absolutely love it. Don't knock it until you try it!
I have used several Edwin Jagger products and while most are really good, this is one of their best. It is more expensive than others, but generally worth it. It has a smooth feel when it goes on, but dries without any greasy feeling. Sandalwood fragrance is there, but very light. You do not need more than a two or three drops to cover your face, so the bottle does last a while. Comes in a relatively heavy black glass bottle, with a silver plastic pump, which can be rotated to disable pump. HOWEVER some sellers will ship in a paper envelope and high chance product will arrived damaged / leaked / and unusable. Check who you buy from before you confirm. Caveat emptor!
For a few decades, I shaved in the basic way as I learned when I was 15 without much thought to equipment or products. On a recent vacation, I found I had forgotten to pack a razor or shaving cream, forcing me to address the current shaving landscape of five-bladed monster razors and more pre-, after- and shaving goops than I could begin to fathom. I got through it with an excellent new Gillette Mach 3 razor and some similar grade shaving cream, but when I returned home, I thought it might be useful to reassess my old ways. After trying a number of high-end shaving soaps, creams and after shaves, I stumbled on Edwin Jagger. The sandalwood shaving cream and after shave work and smell great. They are scented to a discreet level, evidently not to the punch-in-the-face degree that other reviewers prefer. Originally I also loved the high-quality, eco-friendly packaging the company used. Its aftershaves came in glass bottles and shaving creams in aluminum tubes rather than the plastic, environmentally toxic materials used by most companies. It appears now, they've switched to cheap, forever toxic plastic packaging. I will switch too, to another brand that uses glass bottles or something biodegradable.
This AS balm is more like an unscented version of AS. Compared to Truefitt and Hill sandalwood this is CRAP. I would not recommend this product. Way over priced for what it is. (Glad I got it at 50% off, even at that it is still overpriced) It was my first and last Edwin Jagger purchase. Will stick to Taylor of old bond, Truefitt and Castle Forbes products from now on.

Yes. The titles says it all. Personally I prefer the sandalwood shaving cream scent over this, but this is close and fruitier and lingers longer. Love this stuff.

this stuff is better than anything you will buy in a store.it really makes you face feel good after a close shave
I’ve ordered this at least twice now and like both the scent and the feel of it. Had a USPS issue on the recent delivery and the seller was quick with a response and an offer to resolve things on their end before USPS got their act together
The cream has a very soothing feel face on my skin. You don't need much to cover the whole face. Feels great, relaxes my skin quickly after my shave. Worth buying. The bottle also looks bigger in person as well. The smell is very pleasant.
I like it but it's a little too "sweet" smelling.

did not like the scent of the sandalwood, I use Taylor of Old Bond St. and wanted to try something different but i did not care for this; However, the consistency and quality of the lotion itself is still very good...so it will be a personal preference based on scent, which is always hit or miss with sandalwood products
