What an amazing product! Way better than any sea salt spray I have ever used. Usually sea salt spray leaves my hair a bit too matte, but this spray gives all the beachy, volumizing, wavy benefits and manages to keep my hair soft and shiny. And a bonus is that it smells amazing. I will never use another wave spray again!
I have very fine hair and many other hair products weigh it down. I love how this product puts some grit in my hair so when I style it it holds without being sticky and crunchy. I use it in place of any sort of mousse or root booster, and highly recommend for fine, soft hair!
I love this stuff! It might not be for everyone but it’s perfect for my length and texture. I already have a very minor wave to my medium length hair. I’ve never used it on dry hair though. I use it only after the shower and let my hair air dry. Soft waves galore!!! And a quick way to achieve a sexy but still natural looking style with little hassle.
I read the reviews, and I already have a few products from this company that I like, so I was really anticipating its arrival. The product did seem to make my hair wavy as promised. The reason I am returning it and giving it a less than stellar review is because of the scent of the product. Many people commented that it smelled great- (and I understand that scent preferences are subjective). I prefer a clean, light, subtle scent. I found the scent of this to be pretty strong and perfume-like and it didn't agree with me. If you are a perfume wearer, this will most likely compete. I will try the Salt product instead- hopefully it is more subtle.
I have tried so many things to get my straight hair wavy - I remember looking like I stuck my finger in a light socket on one side and stick strait on the other - the 70'S - gotta love them (perm only took on one side of my head LOL) THIS STUFF MADE MY STRAIGHT HAIR HAVE BEACHY WAVES!!!!! I'VE ONLY BEEN TRYING FOR 40 YEARS!!!!
Love this product. I have naturally curly Caucasian hair. It's usually either frizzy and flyaway or I have to use so much product that it's crunchy. Or, at least that's how it used to be. I pair this with Verb Curl Cream and let air dry for soft, shiny curls with volume, but not over the top volume.
After moving to a dry climate my natural curls went flat, but since I have been using this product, the definition and bounce in my curls have returned! I also love that it doesn't leave my hair crunchy, as all the other products I have tried did. I will buy it again, and highly recommended this product. It isn't cheap, but it is worth every penny!!!
This product did not work for me it made my hair feel very dry and did not produce any beachy waves. I was disappointed, but I have very fine hair (fine strands, but I have a lot of them) so a lot of products don't work for me the way I hope, or the way they do for others. However, I was even more upset to learn that this product is not returnable. This was particularly surprising to me because it is sold by Amazon and lists "Eligible for refund or replacement" which I assumed meant you could return it. I think this is sneaky on Amazon's part, you have to hover over that message to learn it's not returnable.
I’ve been searching for so long for wave spray that doesn’t make your hair sticky or feel like straw & then my hair gets so knotty. This doesn’t do that & it smells amazing! I love R&CO! I just don’t like how expensive they are! I go through hair products fast because my hair is so thick & long.
Smells nice and helps hair clump in curls but it makes my hair feel quite dry

Sail is my favorite R+Co product! I have fine short hair and this product gives my hair texture without being heavy and brings out the wave in my hair. I spray it lightly on my dry hair and scrunch some to get the waves.
So so so amazing! Pricey but worth it for the quality. I shape my curls and apply it afterwards (it sprays very nicely), it helps with the frizz and maintaining the shape of/holds the curls for 3 days! I tie my hair up in a loose pony before going to bed and the curls are so beautifully shaped when I wake up. It’s a huge difference and works so well! I totally recommend.
R&Co makes great hair products. They're very expensive, but nice when you want to treat yourself (and your hair). I've used he R&Co Zig Zag texture spray, and while the odor is a bit too strong, I find it pleasant. But - to ME - the scent of the Sail Soft Wave Spray is strong and unpleasant, and it really lingers. Which is a bummer for a can of hair spray that costs $36.00. The scent is not something you would can judge buying it online. I can't imagine the olfactory havoc it would create for someone who also likes to wear perfume or cologne. I know that not everyone will find the smell unpleasant, so please take this review with that in mind. But sonce Amazon doesn't allow returns on products like this, I thought it worth a mention.
I love R and Co products, and this one is no exception! I use it on my dry hair, then scrunch or style as desired. It gives a very light texture, and your hair will hold on to the style. It smells nice, not overpowering. It works way on unwashed hair as well, to liven it up and hold style. I will buy this again.
But I've always had extremely fine thin hair and not a lot of it. Most texturizers are way too heavy for my hair I have baby hair. This allows me to gain some volume and I can use it in between washes. My hair never gets tacky and stiff. It also allows for me to curl it. I'm impressed I will get it again.
The product is great but the bottle stinks . I have had this for two months and the sprayer is already broken. Once that stops working you can’t use it anymore.
This product smells amazing! I spray it in my hair to give it a little texture and my daughter's hair to give it grit because she has very fine hair. Since my hair is dark, this does spray very white powder which is why I gave it 3 stars. I have recently purchased JetLag by IGK Dry Shampoo and use that one for the dry shampoo purpose. It doesn't spray as concentrated and therefore doesn't glob white powder on my dark hair. Overall, the smell is what gives this dry shampoo life! I will not purchase again due to the white powder; which I have come to expect from dry shampoos but this one doesn't rub in easy enough.
This product does a great job holding the wave without being too stiff. I wish they made a non aerosol version…

This is a new staple to my 20 yr old curl girl routine. It’s lightweight so it doesn’t weigh down my hair while still controlling frizz. It’s an awesome day two product I won’t go without now!
One of my favorite hair products I've ever used! My hair is straighter on top and wavy on the bottom and this works miracles. I just spray the top of my head and my wave pattern matches the bottom. Worth every penny even though it's pricey!
It works great if you use it on wet or damp air. I tried it on dry hair (as the bottle says that for another option) and I found it to make my hair very stiff and sticky as it is like a hairspray. I did like how it made my hair look when I applied on wet or damp hair- it gave me a the curls/waves without that heavy crispy feeling of gel.
This is essentially oil in a can--I was looking for a sea salt spray to refresh my hair but this still kinda reduces frizz just not in the way I want
and this product helps me keep em going all day. plus, all you have to do is twist twist twist to recreate the look. the product does all the work :)

Love this product introduced to me by my daughter who is a stylist. I spay a little on before and after drying my hair when wearing it curly. It adds soft volume and curl. Get yourself some!
I hated this product in my first uses. It made my hair feel gross. It did not add volume, nor made it wavy, but only greasy. Before trashing it out I tried it on my wet hair and blew dried it. Then my hair finally looked good with more volume that lasted for a considerable long time. If you have fine hair I wouls suggest tou tried something else.

Waves created as described however, I used sparingly, with a resulting very sticky texture that promoted snarling. Scent is offensive like really cheap alcoholy perfume. I could hardly wait to wash it out. I would suggest trying in a salon first, it is expensive and non-returnable, so a total waste of money for me. I have long, healthy, slightly wavy hair.

Smell is unbearable. It smells so urine. I just cannot stand it. It smells disgusting. WHY!? :((((
I love the way this product performs but the smell is unbearably strong. It gives me a headache and i have to wash all my bed linens after I sleep with this in my hair because it LINGERS like nothing else. The scent is not even inherently unpleasant it is just so intense and overwhelming. I would pay good money for a more lightly perfumed or better yet an unscented version of this.

This made my hair feel just like hay/straw. Could not run fingers thru hair without fingers getting stuck. UGH! Would not recommend.
This is an expensive product that is cheaply made. My bottle is still at least 3/4's full and the spray nozzle stopped working. What a complete waste of money. I never dropped it or mistreated it in any way. I barely even used it and now I can't use it because when the spray nozzle stops working, there's no way to get the product out. I feel like I threw money away on this. I advise you not to buy this particular product.
