So glad I took a chance on this Brand
Low porosity, medium texture, mid-length hair living in a super dry climate that does no good for frizz-prone types. I have experimented with so many styling products, methods, steps, blah, and more blah, trying to find what would work best, and this is the best thus far. My stylist recommended Kenra Curl Creme, and I tried it. It was good, but not great, and if you're gonna drop money on a product it should "Wow" you most of the time. After rinsing my hair with cold water, I used the Twister Curl Primer first, then the creme, a microfiber towel, scrunched, added a little more product (creme), scrunched, blow-dry (less than 5 minutes), scrunched, and wow. The scent is awesome, and thickness was just right, which took me by surprise. I am so use to cremes being way too thick, weighing my hair down. This one brought the best out in my curls; light-weight, moisturized, and shiny.

Smells Awesome, WORKS
I bought a tube of this for my sister when she visited me. She's half Asian half North African, so she has that really curly hair that can be coarse depending on what she's doing with it. I tried it once even though I don't have curly curly hair technically (my hair is thick, somewhat coarse, and wavy) BUT LOVED IT! It worked for my hair, she took the tube with her, and I re-ordered a tube for myself, end of story. I couldn't get over how nice it smelled. I kept smelling my hair like a weirdo all night. When I say Works, I know I'm not being specific because everyone wants a product to do something different for their hair. I will just say, it moisturized, smoothed, and calmed, and didn't stop smelling great until the next shampoo. I took one star off only because I think it's a little expensive for 5 oz. but hey, sometimes you just have to.

Fine-haired curl miracle product!
I first tried this product because it was part of a trial packet set. The shampoo and conditioner that came with it were supposed to be for curly hair and I had high hopes, but was disappointed by how drying they both were. Complete hair disasters in the making! I figured I might as well try this curl cream sample anyway since I was going to have to do a deep condition later to fix what the shampoo and conditioner had broken. Imagine my surprise when this stuff turned out to be a holy grail product! It has a lighter scent than any of the shampoo and conditioners, but is pleasant. You don’t need to use a ton of it on fine hair and you can just flip, scrunch it into damp hair and let it dry. It’s not sticky, it doesn’t weigh your hair down, or leave it looking or feeling greasy. Out of all their products, this is the only one I’ve rushed to buy the full size. Everything else has dried my hair out and left it frizzy, but the curl cream is a keeper for me. YMMV of course, because everyone’s hair is different and needs different products, but if you have fine hair with waves or curls, I recommend at least spending the $4 on the Cassette sample packet set to try this curl cream out. It might be your holy grail too.

Smells nice, does NOT define curls
I use R+Co shampoo and conditioner and I love how they perform and smell, so I figured I would give the Curl Defining Cream a go. Using the term "curl defining" in the title of this product is absolutely laughable. I'm 36, so I've tried a LOT of curly hair products over the years, and I honestly think this one is the WORST I've ever used. My curls are quite the opposite of defined - my hair looks more akin to a fuzzy bird's nest than it does to the nice, soft curls I'm used to with the product I switched from. Not only does this product make my hair fuzzy, it actually pulls my curls out so they are more wavy than curly. I can put ZERO product on my hair and I'll have better curls than this stuff. And I've even tried several different ways of applying and drying - apply sopping wet, apply to towel dried hair, apply wet then put in a hair turban, air dry, diffuse - nothing changed the end result. The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because it smells really nice.

BEST CURL CREAM & SMELLS AMAZING
This is the BEST curl cream!!! It leaves my hair defined and still so soft (no crunchiness). I really like how bouncy and soft my curls feel! Another review mentioned that it was great for fine hair, which I completely agree with. I have tried a bunch of other curl creams (Curl Smith, Davines, Shea Moisturize, etc) and this one is definitely a new staple. I have use many R+Co products and I’m so happy to add this to my routine. See pic for my curl/wave pattern. This was from air dry.

Finally! A cream made for air drying!
If you have wavy/curly hair and you air dry, you need this. I put it on while my hair is still damp, but it can also be used to add a little more oomph when your hair is dry. Just put a drop in your wet hands and squeeze the curls to shape them back up to "best day" shaped hair. I wish the R+Co products weren't quite so pricy, but I will also say they are worth every penny

They changed the scent
I have used this product since it came out, it was a great hair product. I have wavy and curly hair. It leaves my hair soft and defined, and it helps with frizz. it had a refreshing and not overwhelming scent. The reason I am giving it 2 stars is they recently changed the scent and it is unusable! It smells like patchouli and men's cologne mixed and it is STRONG! I cannot use this product anymore! I recently replaced it with *Living Proof Curl Definer* and I love it. It's a refreshing citrus scent and gives me the soft defined curl/ waves and helps with frizz, a little goes a long way.

This might not be the right product for my hair texture which is color treated silver hair and kinda wild gypsie, S waves I call it, not curly specifically, This product reminds me of the bio silk brand. R + Co Curl Defining Cream leaves a strange feel that I can only really call some type of sheen. It was a bit tacky to me as well. I have a friend who has curly hair starting from the roots and she loves it!! She uses the same brand primer then this curl cream. So, it might just be my hair texture. I LOVE the smell however!!

Good Product for the Right Hair Type
Overall I think R+Co is an excellent brand with innovative products and formulations. This curl cream didn’t work for my tight spiral curls, but think many with wavy and looser curl types would enjoy this. It contains waxes, which are great for flexible definition, but waxes make my hair difficult to re-wet and re-style as they make my hair too grippy. Waxes are also difficult to remove from my hair and build-up easily. This may not be most people’s experience, as I don’t find other people saying the same things about wax-containing products online much. If you have tighter curls, I find Aircraft Pomade Mousse is excellent. It also contains wax, but doesn’t give me the same issue and is a better formulation for my hair needs and style goals overall.

Perfect for fine curly hair
This is the one you want. If you've got fine curly hair, this is the cream that will produce a defined, yet *natural* looking curl shape. I've tried three other curl creams, and they all make my curls defined, but chunky and greasy looking, aka, it makes my hair look darker and thus not natural. Good Cream
I’ve been really impressed with this curl cream. The texture is lightweight but still provides great hold without leaving my hair crunchy or stiff. Smells devine-leaves hair dry and stiff
Love R&Co shampoos and conditioners, but their styling products do not cut it for my 3a curly, dry , thick hair. Have yet ot find one that leaves my curls moisturized and soft. Even with the primer, this did nothing to help with moisture. Curls were defined, but dry and crispy. And I apply this on to WET hair, so normally it should not work out this way. R&Co needs to rethink its styling products. They might work for normal to fine texture hair, but not for us dry curly hair girls. R&Co needs to formulate a leave in conditioner (not a spray version) for moisturizing curls

This "curl defining cream" did not define my curls. It made them droopy, limp, and lifeless. A total negative experience for me. Oh..yeah...the smell is great. But so what! We want our curls defined. Not a lifeless limp noodle head that smells good. So...to the rescue is R+Co Cassette Curl Shampoo. When I shampoo with this, my curls become fuller, more defined, bouncier, have more luster and...yes...they smell great to top it all off. You will start to notice a lot of uninvited hands fingering through your hair. Believe me, I'm not complaining. After having short short short hair my entire life, I decided to grow it out...long...and took double and triple takes as my head sprouted thick wavy curls. I never knew that they were there....mowed down to dormancy. So...bring it on. Bring on those fingers and run them through my hair! And enjoy the smell of the R+Co Cassette Curl Shampoo while you're at it.

My hair is limp and sad now.
I am trying to work with my curls instead of fighting my curls and tried this product. I love the scent and I love the feel of it. The first time I tried it, my curls were fabulous and lovely. Over the course of 2 weeks, I no longer have any curls, but instead have limp waves. It makes me sad as I wanted to love this product, but I'm returning it.

Brings the curl without the crunch
I have very fine curly hair which I used to never wear natural because I could never find a product that didn't turn it into a crunchy ball and still not bring up the curl. Works great for fine, wavy hair
I have fine, wavy hair and I was skeptical about this hair cream. Usually any kind of hair cream is too heavy for my hair no matter what anyone says. This is the goldilocks of hair creams. The first time I used it I got too much product in the front and it looked a little stiff. That's on me, so the next time I used it I was careful to spread it evenly and it makes my hair look shiny with nice waves. And, it feels soft. I tried letting my hair dry without this cream and it was wavy but flyaway like usual. I really don't like to wear my hair natural but this cream is making me rethink my whole hair style. My hair actually looks good and I have been getting compliments!
