Cleans great, has an amazing aroma, and leaves hair feeling soft and manageable.
Truefitt & Hill Men's Grooming products, made in England since 1805, are known for their quality. Over the years, I've tried many men's grooming products and have gravitated to Truefitt & Hill. It's a tad more expensive than other brands, but the quality of their products shows through. A small amount cleans the hair easily, has an amazing aroma, and leaves hair feeling soft and manageable.

Light Scent, Lathers Well, Great Shampoo for Men & Women
I didn’t realize this shampoo was labeled for men upon purchasing, but my husband and I are both using it, and we really love it so far. I have long, fine, untreated, natural hair. My husband has a pretty-thick, full head of hair. Neither of us have dry, nor damaged hair. This shampoo lathers well, leaves both of our hair textures feeling very soft & looking really shiny; definitely a great moisturizing shampoo. The subtle scent of lemongrass and bergamot is very pleasant; we both agree on how nice it is to actually be using a shampoo that isn’t wildly over-fragranced, as most are. This shampoo is the most costly we have ever used, but we also understand that quality hair care products aren’t cheap; this 12.3 ounce bottle will last us for good while. We recommend anyone, man or woman, to try this great-quality, moisturizing shampoo if it fits into your budget; we are both big fans.

Enjoyable experience
This shampoo has a very, very light lemony scent that I only smell if I’m trying to smell it. The shampoo itself feels really mild and has a nice lather, leaving my hair and scalp feeling clean and happy. I know it’s a men’s shampoo, but as a female who’s picky about smells and tactile sensations, I found this to be a really enjoyable product to use.

Mixed results
First of all, I didn’t realize this shampoo was for men. I saw lemongrass and bergamot, two of my favorite scents, and didn’t read any further. My salon in the past has actually suggested a shampoo made for men for a scalp condition I had so I figured I would give this a try. The scent is not overpowering, but you definitely got a bit of a burst of the lemongrass when you poured it into your hand. It produced a nice lather and did a great job of getting my hair clean. My hair is very fine and on the thin side and tangles easily. I used my wide tooth comb after towel drying a bit, and there was minimum tangling of my hair. I let it air dry as I do whenever I’m testing a new hair product. It left my hair a very soft and very shiny and silky. however, since my hair is on the thin side, the shampoo did not give me any volume. I imagine this is not an issue for the men it is produced for, but I prefer some volume in my hair. I did like the shampoo it did not leave a lot of scent in my hair. It just smells very clean and I did like that little burst while I was shampooing that was kind of invigorating because I love lemon grass. I will try using a volumizing conditioner after the shampoo the next time to add a bit of volume. I did not use a conditioner after this first use because I wanted to see how it tested as far as tangling of the hair and how the product on its own left my hair looking and feeling. I think with some volumizing conditioner and perhaps a little product and a blow dry at the roots to increase the volume would be fine. If your hair is on the thick side, you probably would not have an issue with this at all.

Mr Livia would never think of splurging on a luxurious shampoo, but thank goodness he has someone to do it for him!! Because this stuff is really nice: moisturizes well, lathers well and smells really nice (lemongrass / bergamot - it’s kind of a citrusy earl grey scent).

Light scent, gentle on scalp
My husband isn't picky when it comes to shampoo. But he does appreciate products that are gentle on his scalp and don't weigh down his hair. This shampoo is wonderful on both those counts. He hair has started thinning some, so he really likes how full his hair looks after using this. And it's got a really light, pleasant scent, which is also really nice. So many shampoos intended for men are so heavily scented! This is not, and that's a huge bonus. My husband says he doesn't need to use much in order to get a nice lather. And because the scent is mild and doesn't linger, it doesn't compete with any other scented products he uses. He's really pleased with this. He says he'd definitely recommend it.

Not cheap, but worth the cost
My husband has been searching for a good quality shampoo because the grocery store stuff just hasn't been cutting it for him. I picked up some Truefitt & Hill shampoo for him to try because the company has been around for over 200 years, and that's got to count for something, right? It is truly a wonderful shampoo. It has a lovely and light scent and leaves the hair moisturized and so very soft. He and I may have to fight over it, because I tried it as well and fell in love. I am not a hair professional and am probably not doing this product justice with my description, but the shampoo cleaned and moisturized my hair so well that I did not even need to use a conditioner. With other shampoos, my hair is such a tangled mess after a rinse that I have to use a conditioner to make it manageable. No so with the Truefitt & Hill. And even though I have quite long hair, I needed only a super small amount. The product information page claims that it helps with hair loss. I cannot speak to that, but as far as a moisturizing shampoo, it's fantastic. Overall, this is an expensive shampoo, but when I factor in using less shampoo with each wash, and the omission of conditioner, the price works out to be more affordable. I'm completely sold on this stuff.

Husband loves it.
My husband really loves this shampoo. He said he likes the way it cleaned well, but what he loved the most was that there is no scent. I detected something very light when I smelled it, but he said it's better than all other shampoos that have loud scents. He likes that the bottle is very understated, and more toned down for men. The amount that you get in the bottle should last a long time. Needless to say, I think he'll be ordering more of this in the future.

Truefitt Shampoo for Men
This is a very nice high-end shampoo that I got for a family member. It works really well his hair looks great The shampoo ladders will and rinses out clean so it doesn't leave oily heavy greasy sort of look on your hair. It is a bit on the pricey side so this would be something that we would not use all the time but do enjoy splurging every once in awhile The shampoo is great.

My son with curly hair likes moisturizing shampoo. He likes how this feels and that it is gentle on his hair. The scent is a light lime - lovely! However, I find it hard to believe that there aren't shampoos for a fraction of the price that will do as nice of a job.

Nice fragrance

Pricey shampoo
I got this for my teenage son whose hair has always been something he took pride in. I’ve never spent more than $10 on a bottle of shampoo for him though. So I find this a bit pricey at almost $35 a bottle. But he loves it! It smells almost like a citrus and something else that I can’t quite put my finger on. His said his hair isn’t as oily as it normally gets when he uses the cheaper shampoo that I buy him.

Cleans the hair
I'm not any kind of hair enthusiast. I keep my hair short, and its there. I don't seem to notice much difference personally in this and my bargain shampoo I normally use. My wife tried as well, and she didn't really notice a difference anyway. Did it clean the hair? Yes Did it leave a weird residue? Nope Didn't have much of a scent, which I appreciate. If that is what you are looking for, got for this.

Works well enough but has no scent
I cant discern any scent to this at all...neither can my wife. I guess it kinda smells clean, but there is almost no smell to it at all. The shampoo works really well...lathers up nicely, on your first or second go through, but I just cant make out any smell. If you are sensitive (scent-si-tive? ha) - this may be the perfect shampoo for you though at this price its probably a luxury item

Lovely shampoo but not sulfate free
I didn't realize this was a brand of men's hair care -- it is perfectly suitable for women's or gender neutral shampoo. The scent is very light and a nice scent. It lathers up very nicely even in hard water, and that clued me in to why I'll have to give this bottle away -- it contains sodium laureth sulfate. That is not a bad ingredient unless you color your hair, which I do. I stick to sulfate-free shampoos to make the hair dye last a longer time. It's such a nice shampoo and my hair felt really soft after using it so it makes me sad that I have to give it away. Whether you are male, female or nonbinary, this is a lovely shampoo as long as you don't color your hair (or color your hair but change it often enough to not worry about using a sulfate-free shampoo).

Comparable to drug store shampoo
This shampoo is a decent product that does what it promises, but I have to admit I was a bit disappointed with the scent. While the product description claims it has a lemongrass and bergamot fragrance, I couldn't detect any particular aroma. However, that's a minor issue compared to the fact that it lathers up really well and leaves my hair feeling clean and moisturized. In terms of performance, it's comparable to any drugstore shampoo you can buy.

Contains SLS and it’s high on the ingredient list!
I don’t like the high content of SLS. SLS pretty much strips your skin of its natural oils. For someone with allergies and dry skin to begin with this caused my scalp to become extremely dry and itchy. If you have allergies or are prone to dry skin I cannot recommend this. On the flip if you have an extremely oily greasy scalp you are looking to help this might be exactly what you need. I’m giving this 3 stars because it’s not for me.
