I naturally very thick and wavy hair. My hair can easily curl with little to no effort, when I use just a curly hair shampoo and conditioner. I typically don't have to use any styling products afterwards. I definitely saw a big difference with this shampoo! My hair is noticeably less frizzy, feels much lighter, and my curls look much more defined! The scent of the shampoo is okay. The consistency of is much thicker than most shampoos. I felt like I had to use a little more product than what I normally would just because it was so thick. I did like the design of the bottle! You twist the lid and it comes out of a little hole in the center of the top! I do feel like the price is a little high... But you do get such good results from the shampoo.
As a licensed cosmetologist, I've had my hands on a lot of hair products. I have to say I am very impressed with the ECRU Hydrating Shampoo. The scent is great, it's not too overpowering, and it smells nice. My hair is half color treated/half natural and long, so the ends were becoming dry and brittle. This shampoo has added moisture back in and not weighted down my natural hair at all. The other reason I'm impressed with this is that it lathers up great. You don't need a lot of it to get that clean feeling, nor do you need wash it multiple times. If I could, I'd have given this product more stars.
This shampoo really really cleans your hair, almost to the point of no oils left. This may be good or bad to someone, but you absolutely want to make sure you use some form a conditioner afterwards.
It does make your hair soft but I don’t see a difference than what I usually use. Price is to much for ordering all the time.
