Only Brut rivals this for me and that's because of price...
This is expensive stuff but I've had the same bottle for what's about to be 3 years in Feb. A little goes a long way with this aftershave and 4-5 short pumps is perfect for me. Like my title said, Brut for me rivals this because Brut is oh...um...$35 cheaper but trust me, this aftershave is completely worth it. The scent is wonderful...so says my wonderful woman. It leaves my face nice and soft and definately not dry and scratchy. It doesn't sting unless you just gash yourself so for those of us that are DE or straight users, just be careful like usual. It's soothing properties are second to none and I'll definately be getting another bottle of Trafalgar aftershave by Truefitt and Hill when my current bottle runs out. Thanks!!

This has a nice buttery feel on the face after using, which I don't get with other aftershave balms. Also, the tiny hole that the balm comes out of does NOT get plugged up with gummed-up dried balm that was left in the hole after the last use like Art of Shaving's balm does in their pump. No, this always pumps out a fresh helping of balm without the need to get rid of a gummy ball of dried balm on your palm. The scent is great too, sort of like lemon and nutmeg together. The packaging is superb with its glass bottle and etched back of the bottle with Truefitt & Hill's logo. I don't think this is even all that pricey compared to other aftershave balms in the same market, again like Art of Shaving which is about the same price. The only word of caution I have is to watch which seller you buy this from, as this product is very difficult to find here in the states and there may not be many US sellers of this. I had a bad experience with a UK seller, waiting for over a month for this to arrive, over for it to never come. I eventually had to buy this directly from Truefitt & Hill's site, which shipped it from Canada. Pay attention to where the product ships from.

Wonderful Stuff!
Like most reviewers, I decided to purchase the sampler pack from Truefitt and I chose Trafalgar as the scent I liked the most. Very musky with an ocean smell (I'm a sailor) I decided to get the shave cream tub and the aftershave and its a wonderful combo. Two pumps does me fine. It cools the skin after a shave and leaves my shave feeling wonderful. From Truefitt, Trafalgar is my #1 and 1805 is my #2 and Sandalwood is my #3 -- BUT I recommend you buy the sampler. You'll be glad you did.

Great smell, nice feel
Truefitt & Hill make great shaving products. Their products are a little on the expensive side - at least at first glance, but a little of the shaving products go a long way. I have been sampling shaving balms, and shaving creams & soaps for the past several years, and so far, the Trufitt & Hill products are superior to the rest of the field. The Trafalgar series (I just have the balm at this point) has a very nice feel when applied after a close shave, and the smell is great. It just takes a little amount to cover your face, so the higher price is offset by the amount needed to sooth your face. I highly recommend this product!

ORDER YOUR GLUE GUN AT THE SAME TIME IF YOU BUY THIS.
I practice insanity when it comes to this product. I keep buying it. It is a wonderful product but has a MAJOR flaw!! When you get down to about 1/2 of the bottle remaining, the pump stops working. You can press and press and press and you may get a tiny bit each time. There's still at least half of the bottle remaining. This happens uniformly for this product. I have, as I said, insanely continued to buy this product despite this defect. I explain that further below. You may ask "why don't you just unscrew the squirt top and pour it into your hand? Well, first if that were required, it would still be a flaw because you're paying for the nice squirt cap, so that would be bad. But guess what? YOU CAN'T unscrew it. It is superglued onto the bottle. The only work around if you do not want to leave half the bottle of expensive Truefitt Hill inaccessible is to use a glue gun to heat the glue of the cap to a point where the cap can be removed. The company should send this product with a glue gun! So that's what I have to do if I do not want to waste half the bottle. Use your own judgment on whether the product is worth the blow torch. Meanwhile Truefitt and Hill GET THIS FIXED!!! I'd like to not have to waste my time with the glue gun.

Unique, Effective, Enduring
This fragrance is indeed unique, refreshing and enduring. While the price seems a bit high at first glance, one needs less of it than other products. Good aftershave balm with poor dispenser
Good aftershave overall until pump failed with more than a quarter of the product remaining. Unacceptable for a $48.00 bottle of aftershave.

You get half of what you pay for.
I purchased two of these. The bottle contains 3.38 fluid ounces but the pump stopped working half way through on both of them, so each bottle really contains 1.69. The top does not screw off so you cant get any more out. Terrible packaging, very disappointed.
